What I like best about this commercial is that it shows the entire range of what Honda can do competitively in the past and present. Although I don't own one, I respect their ingenuity and it makes me cry tears of joy when i see it. What would the world be without Civics or S2000 or the NSX? LOVED the bike on .54 - 1.01 and the Open wheeled cars in 1.14 - 1.23. EPICNESS!

One more thing. Automakers worldwide must acknowledge that the VTEC system rarely fails.

its extremely interesting that honda uses intentional or unintentional symbolism here. if u listen to the lyrics, the song is arguably about Jesus Christ.

and the final part of this commercial represents Jesus' resurrection "to be willing to march into hell for a Heavenly cause..."

Other car companies market their products like they are so much superior to Honda but in the real world usage level; nothing beats the value and dependability of Honda engines. Other cheaper and more powerful engines exist I know but try and live with them for a few years and see that in the end there is one that grows on you because you can rely on it to take your abuse.

All the commercials ford or chevy make anymore they always say "Better then Honda and Toyota" they never say anything good about the car on the commercial they are advertising but just say that its better then "Honda and Toyota". They wish. I switched from Chevy to a Honda and I will only ever own a Honda anymore, the quality of my Honda is superior to my chevy I had.

The reason of the succes of this advert is that you get this feeling by owning a Honda. And everyone can get this feeling. It doesn't matter how old your Honda is, when you buy it you get this feeling. I know it, I own more than 50 Honda's and evertime you buy one, you get that chemistry. A great feeling. too true, I own an average everyday run of the mill honda. it starts up everyday and is cheap as chips to run. I've sat with my Audi and VW owning mates while they've waited for the pick-up and even they admit my 13 year old civic cannot be beaten for reliability.

the Honda C90 is the best selling motor vehicle in history, and the vtec is arguably the most reliable. as they say everything they do, goes into everything they do.

If you research the ad and the history of Honda, you'll realize that. Honda has always been the largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines in the world. Yea history is a bit slow, seems you need to do a bit of homework before posting about something you know nothing about, there was a website that ran along with the ad telling you what the relevance of all the vehicles was and how they progressed through time, the ad also won the best ad of the year award, so I guess some other people got the idea, check out the new extended version that shows how they are going green

The ad was part of a campaign developed by advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy London. Creative directors and contributors And cost $4 million to make. . It features an actor (Simon Paisley Day) singing, riding and driving across the scenic shorelines and roads of New Zealand, tracks in Japan, and the Iguazu Falls in South America.
