What I like best about this commercial is that it shows the entire range of what Honda can do competitively in the past and present. Although I don't own one, I respect their ingenuity and it makes me cry tears of joy when i see it. What would the world be without Civics or S2000 or the NSX? LOVED the bike on .54 - 1.01 and the Open wheeled cars in 1.14 - 1.23. EPICNESS!
One more thing. Automakers worldwide must acknowledge that the VTEC system rarely fails.
they're either marketing Christians (which account for many people worldwide) or its just a sensational coincidence, albeit without mention one direct word about the issue
its extremely interesting that honda uses intentional or unintentional symbolism here. if u listen to the lyrics, the song is arguably about Jesus Christ.
and the final part of this commercial represents Jesus' resurrection "to be willing to march into hell for a Heavenly cause..."
@cliffhlee, c'mon man. Don't bring religion into this. The song was written for Man of La Mancha, a musical on Don Quixote's exploits. It's got nothing to do with Christianity.
@cliffhlee the song is from a musical about Don Quixote called "Man of La Mancha". Don Quixote was a (fictional) deluded but well meaning old man who had a "quest" to right the wrongs of the world.
Its a shame because beautiful music like this has died, due to new generations of pop and culture, music like this is forgotten, its a shame because everyone should have to listen to this music and reflect on there life, instead of listening to what ever crap there is out there now.
My first Honda was a Honda 50 and I was in love. As I grew older and wiser I finally got my Honda 500. Wow! Now I have a beautiful wife and two beautiful sons, Alas my Honda is no more. But still I dream..................Honda
Good to see that 98% (27/1140) of people who watched this video know what it's like to have a dream. For the other 2%, don't give up, you'll find your dream one day. Cheers.
Honda goes uphill to promote a Japanese brand to the Western world that is skeptic about a non-European ethnic based company that looks to share the market with the same spectrum of vehicle classes. Thus they hint to us that they have an impossible dream.
Honda leads the way with the VTEC engine the S2000 had the fastest VTEC engine in the world at 178 kilowatts , V8 so called muscle cars will be obsolete in the next 50 due to emissions and such ..... Gotta start somewhere
@logwind Honda S2000? Acura NSX (admittedly dead but still).
Also, Honda's sportsbikes are second to none. The CBR600RR ABS and CBR1000RR ABS are truly great innovative bikes and quicker than any sportscar anyway.
Different than the one on the Honda website, but still great. Starts the same, but no Honda jet or a dog to welcome him home at the end as he get in the hot tub.
Other car companies market their products like they are so much superior to Honda but in the real world usage level; nothing beats the value and dependability of Honda engines. Other cheaper and more powerful engines exist I know but try and live with them for a few years and see that in the end there is one that grows on you because you can rely on it to take your abuse.
@KeepingModern I totally agree with your comment. All the commercials ford or chevy make anymore they always say "Better then Honda and Toyota" they never say anything good about the car on the commercial they are advertising but just say that its better then "Honda and Toyota". They wish. I switched from Chevy to a Honda and I will only ever own a Honda anymore, the quality of my Honda is superior to my chevy I had.
I normally hate adverts, but I actually wanted to find out what happened to this guy by the end of it. I was on the edge of my seat when he went over the waterfall!
The reason of the succes of this advert is that you get this feeling by owning a Honda. And everyone can get this feeling. It doesn't matter how old your Honda is, when you buy it you get this feeling. I know it, I own more than 50 Honda's and evertime you buy one, you get that chemistry. A great feeling. Happy with Honda!
The reason of the succes of this advert is that you get this feeling by owning a Honda. And everyone can get this feeling. too true, I own an average everyday run of the mill honda. it starts up everyday and is cheap as chips to run. I've sat with my Audi and VW owning mates while they've waited for the pick-up and even they admit my 13 year old civic cannot be beaten for reliability.
the Honda C90 is the best selling motor vehicle in history, and the vtec is arguably the most reliable. as they say everything they do, goes into everything they do.
theres a different version of this because in the one i saw there is no F1 car and instead of the hot air ballon he comes out of the waterfall in a jet plane. :)
@TheOffices mate, what you don't know about this ad is that it just took you through the entire history of Honda's engine making in 2 minutes.
