How can you have seen the Invisible Children movie and you still don't believe our country should get involved? Yes, I've read all you've had to say about economy, politics, and the counrty being stretched thin, but there are children dying!! Individuals can contribute a lot, but unless our goverment steps in to stop this war more children will die. That's it. To me all of those arguments are just excuses not to get invovled. I completely agree with this video.

Americans need someone to speak for them. George Bush doesnt represent America. If we truly had someone EVERYONE liked. Even minorities, USA could truly be the greatest country in the world. It is up to the citizens to help the government. It is up to the people to elect the president, governors, mayors, etc. Once people know how to use their power, then the world is gonna be a better place.

do you know how afgahnistan and iraq used to be before america and the soviets came to it? it was a vacation spot, parrallel to havana. it had hanging gardens. palaces, aristrips for sight seeing, pools everywhere, cafes, librarys, bazzars, the place was clean, fun, as a vacation spot should be. then the soviets and americans came and had their lil war on their land. when the dust settled, afgahnistan was left as it was as you see today.

people scared of developing beyond city limits because of landmines, militant factions, food shortages.. the place lost its one source of buisness: tourists. we bring in contractors, create jobs and develope to make it a vacation spot again, brilliant idea, as a matter of fact, a few intellegent americans individuals are at it right now.

my missionary uncle is trying to turn a former land mine into the old golf course it used to be in hopes he can create buisness through tourism. shame the mines are everywhere and finding them is a daunting task.

Unfortunatly it is people like you that add to the problem. America is very well to do, we have such small "problems" compared to the rest of the world. If you were dieing wouldn't you want somebody to help you? If you were drowning wouldn't you want somebody to throw you a life vest? Well, maybe they would just think that you should take care of your own problem.

so we can cut short on OUR "small" and hurry up and then tend to theirs. no matter how much heart we have, we can take a horse to the lake but we cant force it to drink. these guys dont want us there. we cant force them to change within the day like that and they dont like feeling that they must depend on another country. it hurts their pride and to any person, their pride is worth more than their own life. take it away, and its like degenerating one to the equality of an animal.
