  • Its pretty simple really, if your tank doesnt have a high pressure relief valve, its dangerous cause the pressure within the tank will raise due to the increase in temperature. And that will turn the tank into a bomb once it breaks. If you do have the relief valve, then it will vent the gas slowly as it did on the 2nd car.

LPG or NCG is really the same, if you do have the relief valve its safe, if you dont is a bomb.

  • This is not about "bad conversions". This is about bad/improperly installed LPG tanks. A good LPG tank will prevent an explosion. Keeping the tank in good condition is also a must. An old outdated or bad tank (or one without the safety valve) can and will end in disaster. Same as having a gasoline (petrol) tank that isn't designed for use with gas/petrol.

  • Odds of being blown up by gasoline tank fire much higher than propane explosion. Scare tactics. Wanna see what I can do to a gasoline fueled car with bad gas tank installation? lol No sh*t if you install ANY gas tank incorrectly & then light it on fire, or smash a school bus into the tank at 50mph is gonna blow the hell up. This is not news.

  • this is why we use Natural Gas or Metane Gas(discontinued)...

  • You'll be cooked after 14 min. They sould've said "Look what may happen to your calcinated corpse!"

  • the just blocked off the safety valve. probably an ad paid for by lpg fitters.

  • pls correct me ...its a different car on 1.15'' and another on 1.30'' look at the wheels

  • yet it's not illegal to do it your self

  • The message of the video is "use the services of the approved installers". Even though "approved installer" will not necessarily do a good job. Not it's hardly possible to do an unsafe installation if you use common sense. In this video some household propane tank must have been installed. All currently sold multivalves have a safety valve which would not allow such things to happen. Foolish video made for foolish people.

  • There is one very safe conversion you can do that wont explode at all... "Electric"

  • that first explosion was the tyre not fuel tank.

  • @dindinz666 yeah. vented tanks are common, so no pressure. you have a sharp eye.

  • this is why i like diesel

  • what is lpg ?

  • @greatwhitenorth112 , from which planet are you?

  • @ReadeRomke planet propane

  • This seems pointless.

  • lovely

  • I prefer to die in a burning LPG car ! this way I will die instantly but in other cases I will die after one week suffering in the hospital !!

  • hmm they destroyed a VW mark 2 for it.

  • The 3rd one blew up and went everywhere

  • @Mrl1man1 well done u bright spark

  • @Mrl1man1 I take it after the third car finished burning there was nothing but bits of charred metal scattered everywhere

  • they put less gas in the golf an full tank in mastero hpe they r instinct now

  • @nasa2free joke, empty, half filled or full gas tank makes no difference. Once the liquid gas inside it warms up due to the fire, the pressure inside the tank rises, and the bleed valve is to let escape te gas and burn it outside the tank, avoiding a to high pressure inside it and exploding.

  • a proper conversion will NOT explode, it will only vent which is actualy safer than a petrol tank, In Australia, we have had cars trapped in Bush fires and the gas hasnt exploded, does that say something for gas? it is safer if it is properly installed because it will only vent, and not explode. (source: im a firie)

  • @myarmy33 You are correct however this is a test showing how powerful LPG is. A BLEVE valve would of just allowed the gas under pressure to escape and no explosion. It is still very interesting to say the least.

  • use coal, much safer than all of the others

  • damn golf! I want a mk2! I bet their all dead anyway

  • definetly, LPG is safety that petrol.

  • the tank would have to get red hot to light the gas inside it is over dramatised bullshit if you know what your doing you shouldnt need a licensed fitter ive done heaps of them even one setup that only ran 3 wires and no safety system except the valve in the tank which these days and even 15 years ago are set up to shut off with no electronic signals needed it simply shuts off when the prseeure released exceeds a set limit which doesnt take much of a leak at all.gas is safe as.

  • 14 minutes is still pretty good though - i'd be a mile away by then

  • nice report, that show the safety of the LPG over Petrol fuel.

  • @muchilus although petrol can set alite on its own where LPG a vaper and evaperates in air, so LPG is ment to be safer in crashs.

  • There a loads of old lpg kits coming on to the second hand market from scrap yards. Very simple to fit/bodge at home. Without a LPG certificate you are not insured. From the unsafe one I assume it just has a propane bottle with no safety vent. LPG boils and the bottle gets hot...... Boom? I suppose that's what happens. Anyway 12 mins trapped in any burning car is too long.

  • They need to define bad LPG conversion. You could bungle any car and make it dangerous. Not much real info here other than that fuel burns and can blow up if you don't take normal precautions. No big news there.

  • you idiot

    burn in english is burn

  • The car with the supposedly "good LPG conversion" vented directly into the vehicle's interior. Given the possibility of the safety valve venting (for reasons other than a fire) while occupants are still in the vehicle, I'm not at all certain that's a good thing.

  • 12 minutes is a long time to get out of a car

  • @SonySasuke not if your unconcious its not

  • haha dont give iraqi's lpg for their cars

  • they probably took off the safety valve. A "bad conversion"... This means nothing...

  • @YS3Caero off coarse it mean's something ,a good LPG conversion is done by a company with brains .A bad conversion is done by a bloak in a shed with tape and bardwire :D

  • Why not to start shooting with nukes in it? This test is a complete fake and its stupid. I have two solenoids on the way between tank and engine. Special pressure valve to prevent explosion. Please - check military lpg test - they were shooting at tanks - nothing really happened.

  • false test. They took out the safety system on one car.

  • well yes, that's the point

  • great demo of the security and safety of the LPG

TARTARINI AUTO SYSTEM IS ONE OF THE SAFETY KITS.

  • they disabled the pressure vent of the gas tank. it has nothing to do with bad mechanics. test sucks, everyone with tools at home can do a good conversion.

  • jesus, I need professional help!

  • Bene abbiamo trovato la soluzione per i no global

danno fuoco alle macchine e posi dice

guarda come brucia bene guarda meglio

    BOMMMMMMMMMMMM
