I don't know...I listened to the Beatles version, which is a pretty straight up song & recording. Besides the obvious substitution for Lennon's voice, and perhaps a doubling of Lennon's voice on "Rai-ai-ai-aaii-a--ain" refrain, these guys here do a faithful version here.

I certainly don't underestimate George Martin's role in general, but I just don't see it lacking in this cover. I don't understand why your comment was up-voted as much as it was.
