I agree that using the Apotheosis is cheap because I was able to fight, the Black Dragon and Wiseman using only Sagi. I remember my level being in the 90's or so.
I really hate Wiseman. Not only does he ruin your life, he decides to be an annoying boss! I fought him right after the heartenbrace... didn't do so well. After grinding my butt off, I beat him at level 50. You are amazing to have beaten him that low, and without the cheap EX's!

Every time , I had Flameking equipped on sagi, so I could never do The Apotheosis with the Power I needed to kill him before he could sap more health. but he made a mistake. he was about to kill sagi WITH Flameking on, but he stopped his attack early. So I PWNED his ass, Godling style. BKO RULES!!!

I've been watching these Baten Kaitos 2 videos, and the gameplay has really changed since the first game. It looks way more confusing, but also more fast-paced.
for me the blach dragon was mad easy after like 6 turns i beat him but wise man is really hard for me i cant beat him the closest i ever got was like doing 8000 damage to him and he kept on doing CAST AWAY move and block my apotheosis.

After you do to the sidequest to get the heartenbrace(by going back in time), go back in the past and go to the Battlefields of Atria, next to Cujam. Go all the way to the area where you fought Guillo and go to the next area where Wiseman is.
why not use the Apotheosis. it hits around 8 to 10 thousand. the other combo you had isnt even an ex combo, just a bunch of random cards. anyways, i think the apotheosis is the greatest combo, with guillos aphelion dustwake, and millys lightning turkey, hits alot. i hit over 30k myself..

agreed. i just wanted to kill him as fast as possible :P With "normal" combos, it took me about 3-4 minutes (I turned off the GC after the battle and loaded from my last savepoint)
When fighting him, concentrate on either milly or Guilo to heal with warrior scarfs. Keep the deck around 30-45 cards, and load in a Scension, Ascension, Transcension, Godling's Rapture, and about 2 or 3 of each of the NORMAL, not alternate, attacks. Then, just put in some Fates cardidals and one or two forces. Maybe a lvl 1-2-3 combo for Milly or Guillo. Now, when you get to lvl 5, burst. You'll heal Sagi, and do around 3000-4000 damage, 6000-7000 if you use Guillo or Milly's help.
I only used 2Weak attack 2 2med Attack 2Strong Attack 1weak attackB 1med attackB 1strong attackB, Fate Idol, Book of Mana and The Godling's Rapture.
Just used 1-2-3 combos until Lv5, then 1-2-3-Godling's Rapture for Sagi, and healed with Book of Mana or revived with Fate Idol if necessary, never used MP bursts (takes too much time to recharge) at Level 45, took about 5 Godling's Rapture combos (about 3 min)
I'm only LV. 33-35 If I remember correctly, I HATE it when he beats the crap out of me when he uses the Illusionary Chaos and Cast Away *my Warrior Scarf doesn't protect me from KNOCKDOWN from Cast Away*

it has impact in the ending of the game (meaning, beat him to have an amazing ending of the game). Also you can get Guillo is Lv 4 special which IS worth getting, specially against the final boss lol

I can't beat him... I got him to critical once (where he starts acting like he's drunk) but then he used Cast Away Your Carnal Robes 4 TIMES IN A ROW. Also...you're EXTREMELY lucky that he didn't use Illusionary Choas even once on you. I'm pretty sure it would have taken a bit longer than 4 minutes then...but seriously, how did you do it? Also, I accidently threw away Senscion, so now Apothesis is impossible. How can I get it back? And I'm level 40, btw.
yeah I was pretty lucky that he didn´t use Illusionary Chaos XD, I really don´t know how to recover scension but I´m sure that there is more than one in the game and if you can´t beat him then just level up more ;)
I think Wiseman makes a much more intimidating villain than the last BK antagonist. Come on NAMCO, surely you've got to release this on the other side of the pond.

his goal isnt explained well, if explained at all, but I think he wanted to turn people into Magnus so he could be the most powerful being and rule the world and whatnot...
