@BlackstreamRadio you don't make sense. actually your FPS universe is so narrow that you had to bring COD up as if i somehow endorsed that. i will try to reformulate my original post, maybe you'll understand: all FPS games attempting realism starting with CS are slow, boring and newb friendly. the movement mechanics are restricted and the weapons are mostly instant hit rifles that any retard can use. also all of them are teambased pub oriented crapfests.

Quake, Unreal series = real games.

CS isn't exactly newbie friendly when compared to other shooters, but they all require a such a significantly smaller skill set and intelligence than do Quake/Unreal that it's become more popular. However, I disagree that team based shooters aren't a bad thing, except in modern-style FPS games where team cooperation only means kill more of the enemy team before they kill you.

@pokeshark Relating Counter-strike to the current-day military shooters pretty much indicates you were never any good at Counter-strike. Counter-strike came out 12 years ago, and it is nothing alike to Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3 in anything other than the threat of an instant 1-hit kill. Using the snail-paced gameplay characteristic of the standard modes in MW3 would assure a loss in any respectable CS scrim.
