  • @bernadotte913

It's purple, but I'm glad I could help.

  • Any Cthulhu paintings coming down the pike?

  • u fag ur not a saintist ur a wanna be saintist fag painting bald freak!.

  • @chavaFreak he is the high priest of the cult of Cthulhu?? :L he is pretty satanic

i am not satanic i am just interested in the cult (i am an athiest) and he seems like a nice guy

  • why am i watching a strange man, painting a cycloptic jellyfish at 3 am?, life has more questions than answers, youre painting certainly made me, ahem, pensive

  • what are your thoughts on H.P. Lovecraft? just asking

  • @batrock123

    Genius, madman, prophet.

  • @TheIchor hey, can i ask for a fawor? i am following the cult

but do you know how to get H.P. lovecrafts works?

  • @ThaFreakymeL

Buy his books. Amazon has good prices.

  • "It's your god damn painting!"

    I loved that.

  • That's a lovely painting, purple fits perfectly too!=) Now I'll just have to give it a try myself I suppose, I can't remember the last time I painted, kinda sad really... Thanx for the useful information, I'd love to see more tutorials like these. I think the "suggestion" bit could be good for me, I need to stop trying to make everything "perfect".

  • @ragzy9

Yes, this challenge is a good excuse to start painting again. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

  • The Bedarkened Ghost of Bob Ross has spoken....

Acrylics rock. I don't have the time that oils require. Your talent speaks for itself. Strong and admirable work there.

  • @RCM037224

You're too kind, sir. Thank you.

  • I really liked your usage of implication/suggestion. I've always felt, personally, that art is not to be perfect, rather of empathy, atmosphere, and all that other sort of implicated/suggested sort of feeling to it, that draws from the source rather than a mechanical motive of attempting to be the absolute of perfection. Some of the best vocalists and musicians I've found are those who don't strictly adhere to the absolute of fundamentals, rather they mix it up with what works.

  • @NRRRDLemur14

I agree. Thanks for the comment.

  • @TheIchor No problem. I discovered your channel through adding you on facebook. Pretty good find. I've come to find a lot of truth within Cthulhu and the Cthulhu Mythos, hence my interest in the Cult of Cthulhu. Thought it should be addressed to you, seeing as you have my utmost respect. Though, I don't know if this was the proper video or time to address it. Oh well, I guess.

  • This is really nice, as an very Art-Centric LHPer I really appreciate this.

  • Excellent! The dread lord himself would be flattered.. Just be careful if this starts happening while you're asleep.. Can we expect a Cthulhu bas-relief tutorial next? ;)

  • @yithianprophecy

    Thank you. I don't do bas-reliefs... yet!

  • Thank you for this video!

  • There is one BIG advantage I like about oils-is that each day you can make small alterations. In fact you can work on it quite a long time making minor changes here and there which gradually perfects the painting. And when it dries it has a beautiful look. Even though those tubes are quite small they last a long long long long long time. With just white, black, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violent you can mix unlimited colors in any shade (they sell color wheels how to do.

  • @WinterHaven

I agree, oil paints have a special place all their own. Many artists prefer oils. I, however, love the quick drying acrylics because it allows me to layer the paints relatively quickly. Have experimented with oils, but always went back to my first love - acrylic paint. Also, there are some acrylics which act like oils.

I put a link up in the video notes for those wanting to see the finished painting. Enjoy!

  • @TheIchor The acrylics you do is truly awesome! It has a quality of its own you won't find with oils. You are indeed a multi-talented dude!

  • Very nice! You are a multi-talented dude!

  • nice video \m/

  • Very nice I am going to try it in gouache and acrylic

  • your great a painting i think . :)

  • @ 4:08 penis lols

  • ...A Satanic Bob Ross?

  • hey hey , great tutorial :))

  • I think ritual should be performed with three colours or shades; of course, the painting is riutalistic, too! Art is magick!

  • "if you can read the title"

OMG! I CAN"T READ THE TITLE ALL OF A SUDDEN AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! lol just kidding. Cool pic.

  • What would the possibly of you putting this painting on a t-shirt? Because I would wear this all the time!

  • @StarkEpoch

Some T-Shirt company should make me an offer!

Like the video notes say, I took a little more time, about 30 - 60 minutes, to fully "finish" the painting with extra details after completing the video. Unnecessary for the beginner, but I wanted it to look amazing. Going to post the varnished and dried end result on the CoC social network in less than 24 hours. Will post an advanced painting Cthulhu vid sometime in July.

Thanks for all the comments, everyone!
