I know I sound amateur here, I'm a keyboard guy, but what is the drum above/behind your snare? Is it a tom? It's probably the drum you're using the most (for ghost notes), but I can't seem to discern or hear it.
How did you record the demo? Obviously the kick and snare are close miked from underneath but I can't see any mics for the cymbals unless you're using overheads?
