ive been playing box for 8 years now, and i still fail to see how the goalies look like tranformers, everybody saying that box lax goalies look retarded with all that padding should realize that those goalies get lit the fuck up every game, without that padding scoring would be too easy.

This winter was my first season playing box, been a field goalie for about 10 years now and when it comes down to you and an attacker throwing fakes at you, is it better to try and follow his with yours as I would in field, or step to him and wait for him to make a move and shoot?

Why does everyone have to hate on the tendies? You gotta be nuts to step in front of the net. Padding or not. It weighs less than a hockey goalies, it just looks more spread out up top. And look at most defencemen or transition players, they often cower when a shooter cranks back for a side arm sub, a tendie steps right in like getting hurt is his day job. I've been between the pipes for 12 years now. And I love it. So quit with the "goalies are pussies" shit until you've done it yourself.

@LAXTR51 dude for one don't base your facts off wikipedia that thing is wrong more often then people think, and those are small differences only to fit the environment change it would be pretty pointless to have a 6 foot net with an average shot distance of 5-10 feet which leads to goalies being huge, shots have to be more accurate cuz of the smaller net which means more balls hitting you, could you imagine playing box in field goalie gear you'd be broken in half within minutes.

@LAXTR51 same with there being more people, it would be pretty hard to try to run around a box with 20 people and D sticks, but what im trying to say is, take out the obvious changes that have to do with the different environment and you still have the same basic game, hitting, mesh sticks, rubber ball, odd shaped net, the rules are generally the same but again with a few tweaks cuz of the tweak in surroundings.
