  • I was studying chemistry AND spanish during this video :PpPpPp.

  • its berillium after berillium when u made this video

  • The professor can speak Russian? COOL.

  • damn FROOOOOOOOOO

  • Can somebody explain to me why on the website of the "dynamic periodic table", isotopes have different mass numbers?

  • @euch27 Because that's what makes an isotope an isotope. Same number of protons, different number of neutrons, and thus different mass numbers.

  • @CarnalDiafragma Thanks, but I meant to ask why they had different atomic numbers until I figured out that the mass number was located where the atomic numbers are usually located. Just a little mix up. Thanks anyway.

  • @euch27 Ah ok :) Never saw that periodic table you were talking about :P

  • Very nice video.

For the full story on the periodic table, please see the book,

Eric Scerri, The Periodic table, Its Story and Its Significance, Oxford University Press, 2007

  • I WANT THAT CLOCK!!

  • There should have been a warning: These videos are HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!

  • elephants are made of elements !

  • I want that clock!

  • Please, Professor, do a video in Russian!

  • Yes, please!

    Or in German...?!

Once you said you can speak a little bit of German and Russia!

  • He forgot about the periodic tale of elephants!!!

  • i like the form that he explain the periodic table because he looks the periodic table from the fun part not from the hard and boring part so i give a 10...also nice hair

My watch has no numbers and I can tell the time just fine...

    I'm just saying...

  • how can a dead girl LIVE somwere

  • Where can I get this "The Periodic Table by Relative Elemental Abundance on the Earth"?

    The clock is great!

  • how can i get the clock exactly same like his?

  • hey ! now then i find his office is so nice! i want the clock !!! it is so special ...i think every of the chem fans should has it! the periodic table of vegetables and desserts make me laugh like ......ah hahahah

  • 20 minutes past Beryllium

  • or beryllium past beryllium

    or beryllium past sulphur

    you get the picture

  • Prof Koliakoff seems like a cool cat. I remember how much I hated chem in high school but I love these videos and am understanding the basic concepts they are trying to explain. I guess. I was just taught it the wrong way in high school then

  • i'll get back to you on that their's somone at the door

  • does anyone know where i can get one of those clocks around the gta On?

  • That is the nerdiest clock in existance. Great. I ordered one for a glamour model i know, she'll appreciate it.

  • 0 = The percentage of my post you did understand.

  • COOLEST CLOCK EVER!!!!

  • I want that clock!!! :O

  • Well that explains how the title of this channel came to be. Chemists have an obsession with periodic tabling things.

  • Why is Jimmy Page teaching chemistry?

  • Oh he forgot his ties. They are all periodic tables.

  • what happen no english in closed captioned

  • Where did you get that clock? It's great!

  • Doc,, out of the film,,Back to the Future,,good stuff, keep the faith.

  • I love this guy.. he had me ROFL~

  • This is great! Thank you for all your hard work!

  • those glasses are cool!

  • We have one of those element clocks in our chemistry department at school.

  • I absolutely adore your collection of various periodic tables, makes me want to have a poster of it in my room. Now, I miss chemistry. =(

  • If you take the symbols of Flourine, Uranium, Carbon, Potassium, Phosphorus, Hydrogen, Yttrium, Sulphur, Iodine and Cesium you get, well, I'll let you work it out yourself. I think it is kind of funny at least. One could probably work out something less offensive or whatever...

  • I agree. The hair is awesome.

  • your hair is awesome! :)

  • The clock is at the end is set to 4:20. That amuses me.

  • Nah, it's like calcium minutes past beryllium... ;-)

  • I did not pass Chemistry Regents in High School two times. The first score was 52% and second score was 54%,but I plan on taking Chemistry Regents again in January. Moreover element Uub is also a name of DragonBall Z and GT fighter.

  • HAHA! xD "Moreover Uub is also a name of DragonBall Z and GT fighter."

  • Thank you for the series. There will always be critics of everything. Anybody (usually children or child-minded adults who want to appear to be cool) can be a critic. It takes a REAL passion for something for a person to create. As an introduction video to a project I thought it was great. I think ALL the videos were well done and fun.

  • Introduction to your office you mean! Good video, but the title is misleading

  • I really wanted to be positive about these series of videos, but I couldn't. This video is about an intro to the periodic table but all that guy did was just give an introduction to his office and his fanaticism to the periodic table of elements. I won't take anything away from the videos, I just wish they would have done more spectacular things with them other than what they do and what they are. Maybe like a demo like how they work. Where's Beakman when you need him?

  • i think this guy is so cool!

  • Very informative videos :)

  • periodic table of desserts? hahaha.

  • I watched this video after i watched ALL the videos about ALL the elements (yes, from Hydrogen all the way to Ununoctium). WHcih is quite funny, actually.

  • Awesome. Love the videos, they're well done and informative. Thanks.

  • When you've completed all the videos, maybe you could make them available on DVD?

Worth a tenner of anyone's money.

    Excellent for Home-Schoolers, etc.

  • Actually a DVD would be an excellent idea.

  • @TwoTeasChris I completely agree. I was home-schooled myself and this would have been an incredible addition to simply a text.

  • Fantastic. I want to go back to school!

  • Love the clock.

  • fantastic!!! Looking forward to learning a lot thanks to you. Thanks doctor :)

  • you have a cool office doc!
