  • 8 mile was the last movie to move me really, changed my life I started rapping afterwards and still love to do it

  • last time i went to a movie that moved me was when i went to see The Kings Speech AAAHHHH such a great movie!

  • There is a way to tell them what you think!! Rate the shit out of movies XD A lot of people don't rate things like Amazon, Walmart, and Target sites. It'll fuck over their sales if we rate bad movies for what they are.

  • What happened to your Hunger Games books?

  • quite annoying:P you're hot tough:)

  • what's gonna happen next? you making a vlog about bashing uwe boll?

sorry val but this time you haven't managed to bring anything new to the discussion

  • 14.99?!!! pfffffffffffffft. i'll stick to ten dollar matinees thank you..

  • Donie Darko fine, but......the best i think was 12

  • I watched the Smurf film, it was nothing compared to the original cartoons, which were nothing compared to Snoopy, which were nothing compared to the Muppets,

  • please, have babies with me

  • @ratowar If by babies you mean words, then I'm having words with you right now, MISTER!

  • @sexynerdgirlcom NO. I said BABIES, and I said please, so you have no choice here, MISS! but don't worry, I'm not ugly, I'm fabulous! Besides...I will let you choose the names.

  • @ratowar XD this made me lol so hard.

  • I think Avatar was the last movie that really moved me.

  • For this sole opinion alone. Marry Me!

  • You were right on the money. The last time I got "emotional" at a movie was Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part II probably b/c I'm a fanboy.

  • "The Muppets" was a movie that made me leave thinking "Wow! Someone actually knows how to make a movie!". Before that, the final Harry Potter and third Transformers movies left me feeling incomplete in a way. Like they could have been better (like if the HP movie had stayed closer to the book for one, or if Optimus hadn't been caught in that cable trap for 15 mins during the final battle). It's very hard for me to go out to the movies when very few seem to be good in any way anymore.

  • Hollywood sucks.

  • @Grandtemplar1191 Well it is Ridley Scott directing so it ought to be a good ride. Though I don't think it'll creep me out like the first one did.

  • The Grey moved me ohhh man what a great movie!

  • Ddaammmnnnnn you dropped The K-BOMB!! :0

  • Honest opinion, Aliens reboot Yea or nay

  • I remember watching "the lion the witch & the wardrobe" as a child and the lion Aslan gave me nightmares because he was real, a real puppet anyway, now he's fluffy and the actors look straight through him.

  • the last time a movie moved me and i left a changed man? In Time. awesome movie

  • Avatar

  • Uggg really? Complains about "hollywood"? Yall know hollywoods isn't a film company its a place. And using it to refer to every filmmaker ever is insulting to the filmmakers who agree with you.

  • So you hate the star wars prequels as hard as every REAL star wars fan?

  • "IMDB him"!

I need to fit that into as many conversations I can today

  • Also, I love Yojimbo!

  • One word.... Warhorse, I cried like a little bitch, it was just that sad...

  • You need to check out Red State ....Its not another Kevin Smith movie

  • I hate you

  • I agree! That is why I like to say Shakespeare has done it all. On the other hand even though nothing is original anymore (more or less) stories must be told in different ways in order to keep them fresh in our minds.

  • opinions are right, when there mine

  • thumbs up if you went back to listen to the other side of the pros/cons.

  • fake and gay

  • War Horse moved me :D I just saw it today - it was great 'cause it's a favourite book and play of mine :3

  • "IMDB him..." LMAO!

  • i like trains

  • the goonies is way way way better than super8

  • I don't think I agree. I dislike movies that put me through an emotional roller coaster. life's real enough, I like movies to be entertaining.

  • The last movie which "moved" me in a theatre was Gran Torino, not so long ago. And I missed a lot of movies since then.

  • I personally can't get enough of Documentaries and that genera is booming!!!

  • you speak the truth. i don't know the last movie i saw that "moved me" .... i'm thinking right now i can't think of anything.

  • This is so disappointing knowing now that she's just an actress and this is just a show. I actually thought she was a real nerdy girl doing vlogs in her room. That's probably a set isn't it? Man, how could I be so blind.

  • haha I like you more now after that Zack Snyder comment.

  • I actually saw "War Horse" and left a changed person... amazing movie.

  • Finaly someone called the hollywood and told em whats what!

  • agreed totaly

  • Congrats on getting Michael Ian Black to be in the Vlog....Oh, that was an ad?

  • It's weird. I play games for story & character. I watch movies for big explosions. Most people are the other way around. They want story & charcter in a movie, but only care about big explosions in a game.

I just cant care for characters & story in a movie because there is no interaction, where as in the game i am included into the expereince which makes me care.

  • to answer both of your questions @ 0:55 Toy Story 3 and im 21 lol

  • Phantom Menace 3D = most hollow two words, a number and a letter ever. Take that big budget and make something that matters. And stop raping the Star Wars franchise.

  • Sexy Nerd Girl is sexy ^^

  • I hate ET

  • Kajillions?

  • Movies are sooooo cookie cutter these days, you can watch the first fifteen minutes and guess the plot line, parents also say movies are getting raunchier, if you think about it anything from the '90s that was rated r was most likely to have a naked girl, anything newer then 2000 you might see a boob or half butt crack, if actresses are wearing more clothes how are they getting raunchier?

  • That's awesome because The Dark Knight was the first thing that popped into my head when you were talking about when was the last time that a movie moved me and had me leave a changed person. Kudos.

  • It's true both her and Guy are actors it bummed me out too just a reg show with a bunch of writers.

  • They don't make them like "A Man Escaped or Un condamné à mort s'est échappé ou Le vent souffle où il veut". At least you cared about the characters in it.

  • Ahhh sexy nerd girl acting as it should be....beside a bed :)

  • I agree. There Is no such thing as a original Film anymore. I am rarely impressed by audio and visual. I respect those who try and notice potential, but never feel satisfied. That's why I watch anime. It could be the same concept, cliche story and It never seems to get old. Which reminds me. Live action anime Is cute...BUT ITS WRONG! NOOOOO! No!

  • Wait a minute, is it true that these videos are fake? She's really just an actress? Yep, just googled it. What the hell? I've been watching her channel for months. I thought she was a real nerdy girl. Like I thought these were real vlogs, not 'lonelygirl15" type none sense. She's really just an actress saying lines written for her? This is a show? WHAT THE HELL? This blew my mind. I thought these were real vlogs. They aren't though. This is all leading up to a webseries or something? My god...

  • @PerhapsPossibly Not quite. Not leading up to anything that I know of. It's written, yes, but I think they do a pretty good job with it all and hope they keep it up. Definitely not a reason to stop watching all together.

  • for all you who don't know, this girl is just an actor using a script written by producers of her youtube "show". it's all fake shit.

  • Thank you! You are awesome and get more bonus points for being a sexy nerd girl. I agree with you about the film in general. We don't care as much about movies and that is sad.

  • "dropped the k bomb" classic.

  • The movies that moved me were the brothers bloom and the curious case of benjerman Franklin.

  • Your are deadly!!!! (That is a good thing by the way)

  • Dear Sexy Nerd Girl, I love your blog. Certain movies move me when I leave the theater. Those were Hugo, Drive, and The Descendants. You gotta go see those, because they're very well done and may move you. Keep up the good work!

    Rich Evans

  • Favorited this video, as me and my grandfather can both totally relate to this. I agree with all of your views in this video. Thanks for another awesome vid. :D

  • "E.T." was fuck'n boring.

  • What about Watchmen? Snyder went with a relatively unknown cast just to so he could spend a lot of the budget on building a 1985 New York times square and 4 blocks surrounding it. I'm not saying was a good movie, because unless you loved the Watchmen miniseries turned trade paperback a wouldn't have had a chance in liking the movie.

  • I totally nerd for IMDB.

  • "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" the American version was an amazing movie and really moved me. Also Lizbeth's character was brilliantly played by Rooney Mara. The transformation she had to go through for that character was incredible. I have not read the books or seen the Swedish version but I am going to read all the books now and most likely see the other movie. :)

  • If only we all had our own Super Nerd Girl the world would be a better place.

  • Super 8 was a pretty amazing movie.

  • holy crap my mind freaked out during the pros and cons bit

  • I can rarely watch a new film in one go. I either fall asleep or most likely just stop watching it for....another time. The last recently released (at the time) film I remember watching full in one go was...Chronicles of Riddick. There is so much attention to make the films as PG as possible, they get so focused on that they remove not only violence and nudity but anything resembling an interesting story. When I watch a film (or write one) I want to know, as a viewer, why am I watching this?

  • Fast Five was the third best movie I have ever seen. And i'm being serious. I love that movie.

If anyone cares Fellowship of the Ring and Two Towers are the other 2.

  • LA is really, really horrible glad to have moved.

  • you touched your tits. you really must love me now

  • Bring sexy back.

  • I THINK the last time I really enjoyed a movie was either Scott Pilgrim or um, Avatar?

  • plot hole you can drive a truck through? INCEPTION!

  • I would rather watch this vlog than half the movies that usually come out, which I do! And this particular video is so funny because its so true. Love ya Val! Can't wait for the Sexy Nerd Girl movie :-D

  • i'm happy to know that you stopped at threequals, i dont think we could be buddies anymore if you hated quadrequals, cincatequals.. etc <3

  • Your boobs are beefy?

  • Where you talking the the peanuts teacher on that phone. mwa mwa mwa mwa :P

  • @AndrewTournayLive I kept cracking up when I was recording that. If you ever need to make yourself laugh, just start talking like a Peanuts teacher.

  • @AndrewTournayLive fix your grammar ok

  • i like trains

  • @GuySideki Guy, that's not your line. That's @cosbydude's line.

  • u r similar to sxephil

  • Big budget movies are usually made by committee rather than driven by an artistic vision nowadays. That's not say it's an entirely bad thing in the hands of a competent film maker. Sometimes it seems all the money that goes into a film is only their to pander to its audience rather than creating a truly satisfying film experience. We all aren't drones after all.

  • I just went and saw Hugo in 3D and it was really good. All the character were fleshed out and the story was very well developed.

  • hell yeah Kurosawa is the shit, and his first name is Akira... (O_o)

  • I agree with all of the points that you made here. The problem I see is that Hollywood has seen they can make movies with little effort and little substance but still rake in the big bucks!

We must speak with our wallets and boycott the bad movies! That would be the only way Hollywood would ever truly listen to us.

  • Kurosawa ftw!

  • I hate to see Pro Val and Con Val at odds. Can they kiss and make up?

  • I'd like to see your views on Bollywood! They need sci-fi...

  • @yusdaman93 Not sure anyone can top Endhiran.

  • @sexynerdgirlcom HAHAHA! You are just awesome SNG! xD

  • over 9000.

  • Happy Eleventy-first vlog!

  • No one makes fun movies anymore... like Snatch or Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels, or Boondock Saints, or.... hmmm wait a minute... I'm seeing a trend here.... :-)

  • i really hate how now like 2/5 of all the movies out nowadays are in 3D. it makes me dizzy and it cost like $5 more for a movie that would be better without all the unnessary pop-out scenes.

  • @xXmusicxjuniexX

You can go see the 2D release (I live in a small town, that's all we get. But if you want to watch these movies with your friends they make special 2D glasses with two left eyes you can wear.

  • fourth

  • likey likey

  • Hi val, Will you do a lets play anytime soon?

  • @i0inky Soon? Not sure. But I've been thinking about it for a while. There's plenty of people who do them already. So I'd want it to be drastically different somehow. And I would probably only do it once. I just need to think of the right angle. It'll probably be SWTOR.

  • Dat beefy heart.
