This calls for a Bud Light.

  • I love this show it wasnt enough episodes

  • This was an ABC show back in the 70's it didn't last long.......You know how that was back in the day..Hmm

  • @haweye79 oh, yesterday.

  • Wow shocking to see Ted Lange who played Issac on the Love Boat so "ghetto" and menacing and "thuggish".On the Love Boat his Issac character was so laid back and non threatening to white audiences."That"s my Mama" was a couple of years before when the political climate was different. Thanks for posting

  • That's Iassac from the Love Boat. This calls for a Bud Light.

  • clifton davis!!! gorgeous!

  • I've got the entire series (All 2 seasons) on DVD... Now one of my favorite shows of all time!

  • im old 2...where did you get them from..

  • I've seen this episode

  • Earl is so funny! I like the episodes when he complains about the customers!

  • @Levistubbsbiggestfan Ditto! To this day, I remember Earl, who was the funniest character on the show.

  • Half the cast of AMEN is in this clip...

  • I thought i was the only one that noticed that.

  • @therealflamelit YEP THEY ARE..LOL I JUST NOTICE THAT

  • Yeah, I agree, but I do not recall the series rich man, poor man. Understood, there is no hating, but I do agree with you. Moody was so much better, and she had more line in the series. The second season, Pringle did not say much.

  • Really? Thanks for letting me know, because I never heard anything. What other TV show did Moody go to? I like Moody better. She was sharper, sexier, and held back no punches. A typical little sister. I miss this show way too much.

  • I heard that. I remember seeing them together once on "The White Shadow".

  • Thanks for letting me know.

  • Why was Lynne Moody replaced?

  • i love how he comes in....ooooooooooooowe!

  • Junior is the BOMB! He had all the right lines! He had game, before ppl started to say they had game! Lange should have gotten an award, cuz he made everyone laugh! Too Funny!

  • That was funny.

  • Oooooooooooh WEE!! lmao

  • Earl died of AIDS a few years ago...

  • What??!! Sweets is dead of aids?

  • Are you sure Earl died of Aids a few years ago? I thought he died from a stroke in the early 90's.

  • it doesnt matter, he did the way for the blacks as well!

  • Nah, man, wikipedia said he died of a stroke. Where did you hear he died of AIDS? He passed away at the age of 47, in the early 90's. RIP, you were too funny! Thanks for making us laugh and being crazy. Earl the Pearl!

  • @drewstar412 It's on IMDB. COM that he passed away from Aids.

  • @Tempted7707 Really? I got my info from wikipedia. Hmm, that is too sad he died, especially from AIDS. May he rest in peace. Thanks for the info.

  • Earl Earl Earl he is such a scary cat haaahha

  • Hard to get used to Earl not playing his Sweet Daddy Williams role! It was right after this show was cancelled that his role for the character on Good Times was created. If I am not mistaken. Also, you gotta love Lynn Moody!

  • I love this show.and, it's been out on DVD.for, sometime now both seasons. Amazon is probebly the best bet to order the show.

  • Could JR.'s character be anymore of a stereotype?

  • I dont care. Every black person knows someone like that. That dude was funny. Its one of the reasons I watched the show.

  • didn't his mamma play in the Wiz?? Damn she look familiar. And Damn Clifton Davis was soooo foooine back then!

  • No, that was Mabel King "Mom" from "What's Happening" another show from the '70s with

Rerun, Rog, Dwayne and Dee. Clifton Davis still looks good when on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. He barely aged!

  • Oops, My bad. Youre right FEMMEAQUA. Mama from "That's My Mama" did play Aunt Em in The Wiz the movie

  • Yep. Theresa Merritt. She played Aunt Em. She dead too.

  • I did not know this show; a little before my time but nice clip.

  • Where's Joe the Police? Is this the "What's Going Down" episode?

  • wow i heard about this show BET use to bring it own years ago

  • I gots to get this on DVD.

  • Does anyone remember the television show The Cop and the Kid? It wasa reto-show back in the 70's with Tierre Turner.

  • This is a classic. This show was hillarious. It's a bit nostalgic to remember the good ole days!

  • if you ever watch the episodes (in which i have because i actually got the series) you will notice that they did not have a big wardrobe for the show...they always wore the same things, or variations and combinations of the same things....STILL-- ALL IN ALL-- A WONDERFUL TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE. errrrrrr body loves their mamas!

  • SNITCHIN'!

  • Damn man. TV sure ain't the same no more. Everything now is a bunch of bullshit except for Sports and Documentaries.

  • That's Rolly from Amen!...lol

  • Thats also the reverend from Amen

  • That's Clifton Davis and that show is what got him started.

  • yeah thats what I meant

  • He is also a real Reverend in real life, part of a Seventh Day Adventist church

  • that's right he's being seen on TBN trinity brodcasting network
