I want to think critically and independently about this video, but I went to public school in the U.S. and am incapable of thinking or acting differently than my schoolmaster would have wished. I am merely a mindless, thoughtless tool of the state like all other Americans who went to public school. Long live dear leader!

Excellent video. I did not know that our education system was based on the Prussians. I think I'll go research that a bit more. I might be able to use this on a research paper or something.

Well delivered facts in a consistent manner, and did not display any antagonism towards anyone that I could see. Certainly gives food for thought, though.

its hard to beleive, but we are blinded by the present. we actually have no idea what system of education was needed at that time and place. but we do know what kind of sytem suites us best for our time period, so this should show us how impoartant education is and how we should be giving more money to our teachers not take it away

This is spot on. The American people are one of the most ignorant and superficial group of people on the planet. It doesn't matter how much information you give them, a massive % are incapable of thinking outside of the box and are devoid of critical thinking skills. They are incapable of reading and rationalizing information and have a collective amnesia of history and all things important. They are more in tune with reality TV, American Idol, and professional sports than reality itself.

@charlesdarwin321 Leader in science and technology coz after ww2 operation paperclip took all the nazi scientists and bought them to the US. They set up nasa and the CIA. As for the universities they just target ur left brain get u to use ur left side of the brain thats what their education is based at. Just to get u trapped in the economic prison that enslaves us by money. They dont teach u about spirituality or respect for mother earth just make as much cash as u can regardless how u do it

So NASA and the CIA now account for our position as number in science and technology, interesting theory. Except Roscoe Henry Hillenkoetter was first head of the CIA. And NASA comes from NACA which is founded in 1915, nice try though. Also the fact that we were also leaders in science and technology BEFORE we brought the Nazi's over appears to be another hole in your theory, case in point, we developed nukes before them.

Yes, we should teach sustainability in schools.

you know at this point i'm not sure if we watched Zeitgeist before or after making this video. Though the structure of this video is definitely it's own, it does sound like Zeitgeist doesn't it.

In any case, i'm not fond of the way it sounds at all.

God says get out of public schools.Think outside of the box. Dont be confromed to the mold. People need to go on the narrow route, rather than follow the masses, and stop giving up your innocnet babies to the heathen classes..where they dont teach full truth, and the children learn to fall to the pressures of be laughed at by thier peers.Happy,wise,healthy kids is a possible goal outside of pub. school system..and include God.=real LIFE.homeschool, entrep.=FREEDOM:)

This video is a good example of through research, but paints a somewhat negative (if not unfair) view of the Prussian education system. I was slightly disappointed that you failed to mention Wilhelm von Humboldt, recognized as the architect of the Prussian education system whose viewpoints differed greatly from Fichte. Von Humboldt was an ardent believer of liberty in individual development and in pursuit of excellence, and he argued that the state should not limit the action of individuals.

Moreover, the connection with Hitler is superficial at best. Hitler was an Austrian in Germany, who started off his career as a less-than-desirable member (and an Austrian at that) of the German society. He was not born with some indisputable divine 'birthright', but had to convince the mass to elect him into office. Personally, I believe Hitler's case is an entirely different situation than the association you are trying to make with Prussian education. It is a far more complicated issue.
