  • @FutureFirefighter32 It's probably being used to keep their heart rates up, while still giving them a small break. I've seen it used in different circuit workouts.

  • I like the variety and functional applications of this workout. The only thing I would stress is that isn't for anyone to just pick up and start doing. It's an advanced workout. Add beginners to the mix and I see people getting dropped everywhere. Now that I mention it...that sounds hilarious :)

  • why not just use weights? there's no need for this unless you want to be REALLY close with your partner

  • It mimics the work load of actual fire fighting, I imagine. It's one thing to have big pretty muscles from machine exercises but what about function?

    Body weight exercises are about function.

  • to be able to move and lift an unstable off balanced body.... you should use a real person to lift. Just like wrestling, but they are lifting a body that doesnt want to be lifted up. haha.

  • @solofly2sfc Because when going on calls we don't respond to barbells and dumbbells. So the better to the human body, the better it is. Unless you REALLY wanna be a homo about it.
