IDK why, but somehow the witches personalities remind me of the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus. One is wicked through and through, the other tall and ditzy, the third portly and focused on food rather than witchcraft. Of course, I could be mistaken...

@blayzebright They did reuse SOME of the ponies in G1. For example, Gusty showed up a lot. But they tended to switch out most of them, based on whatever the latest toy release was.

Why did they leave out the original ponies like Applejack and Skydancer? They were on the pilot episode. What about Sundance? They up and disappeared.

@blanchefful They never used the same group of ponies twice in G1, they were just trying to use as many characters as possible so that they could make more toys.

Many of the ponies in the main series were based on ponies from the pilot episode: for example, Cherries Jubilee is based on Applejack and Masquerade is based on Skydancer. Maybe the ponies from the pilot episode magically transformed?

As an otaku, when I saw the title "The End of Flutter Valley" I immediately thought "End of Evangelion". I knew right then and there that I needed to watch this.

That said, this is WAY better than End of Evangelion.

So...the sun stone will fade in a few minutes without the sun. Then how do they keep the flowers alive without rain? Flowers don't die if they don't have a few minutes without sun or they'd die every night along with the sun stone.

So, the flutter ponies couldn't get out of a honeycomb but they could break a spider web, and yet the ponies trapped inside, three with a horn, and a dragon with claws, couldn't get out themselves. I love how much sense this makes

Also, Sting and Morning Glory could lift Megan pretty easily if they worked together, yet all of the flutter ponies couldn't lift the sunstone, which I'd have thought would be a little lighter considering that Megan carried it without any problems love film logic

When I watched this back in the 80's , my most favorite characters in this show were the Furbobs. I thought they were cute. And I still like them today. If such a thing as a plush Furbob was on the store shelf , I would've asked to have one for my birthday or Christmas if I'd seen it. I remember the raspberries they were giving the Stonebacks like it were yesterday. Check out that mistake at 6:12. That girl Megan moves her mouth on spike's voice. lol
