"I'm talkin rubbish now"...lol...I LOVE how you say Pasty Sean! Glad you're back. This looks really good, I've never had a Pasty before but there's nothing in this that I don't love. I especially love all of the Root Veggies you're using =D
I will see about getting that knife out to the UK ASAP! Money has been kinda tight and January is the worst month in the new year like money flying out the window!
As a Cornishman myself I have to say it looked pretty faithfull to how I would make them. I tend to do my own pastry but then I only really homemake them for special occasions (like st Piran's day on the 5th of March). Some people absolutely butcher it and although your crimp was atrocious I really apprieciate the effort and as you said it still looked tasty as hell. Kernow Bys Vyken!
@PhilToTheMax Haha, thanks man. The shop brought pastry didn't have any elasticity at all so I couldn't stretch it enough to start the crimp. Just had to kind of squeeze it together, which I didn't wanna do. It was either that or no video at all though.
Looks spot on that Sean...Have you been to Torquay...they have a Cornish Pasty place called oggy oggy...some great Pasty's....Thanks for bringing back some memories:)
@stevescooking Don't think ive ever been to Torquay no mate, if I ever do though ill be sure to check that place out. Glad you liked it anyway Steve, thanks pal :)
@ChuckwagonCowboy Hey Ron, thanks for letting me know :) I'm trying to make a concious effort to make some British classics this year. Try and let people know British cuisine is more than just Fish & Chips.
Sean! Seeing that you made a Cornish pasty recipe made my day! Probably my favorite thing that I ate last winter while I was in Plymouth last winter. AHH so happy right now! I can't wait to try this out. Thank you!
meat and vegetables baked in pastry, what's not to like :)
I'll do that but I will panfry onions and meat couse I think they will taste better that way , it also screams for some heavy, dark sauce in my opinion.
You said the butter is optional..In fact it's the butter that makes a sort of gravy and keeps it moist.
According to a program I watched tonight about a bakers in Cornwall, they use clotted cream inside to make it moist.

I am definitely a member of the "Rustic Club" but the end result and flavor is what matters most.

@Scorpion11381 Sometimes the technique isn't there but sometimes it doest matter, the ingredients speak for themselves.

@pwnsauce8 Like I always say, only use my vids as a guideline. Changing the recipe though, it wouldn't be a Cornish Pasty then.

Sean could you do a pizza? I'm really unsure about the base and I can't find a decent recipe.
