  • I didn't know there was a Master stage. Do you have to unlock it?

  • tengo ese juego

  • Do you know there's a green goal in 'Passage'?

It's well hidden but once you find it, it's easy to get.

  • i have a good strategy for cylinders that makes me only lose about 2 lives and i skip the entire level.i go almost straight the whole time and hit a bump at the part where you choose which way to turn and land at the last cylinder.

  • i did all stages !! all modes!! feel good

  • LOL Master 5. Notch

Notch is the maker off Minecraft

  • I always found it easier to go for the other goal on stage 4.

  • my god.... you beasted stage 3 WTF I HATE THAT ONE!!!!!!!!

    You...must play alot....

  • I used to play a lot... until Disgaea took over pretty much everything. After all 2000 hours on 2 Disgaea games in under 21 months is something I've never seen in my 23+ years of playing video games, not even close.

  • i did that and i dont have it

  • how do u get master

  • can you make stunts

  • I have a few. Most of which deal with getting extreme speeds and height.

  • @VIRRE47Wii I think youre supposed to beat all difficulties and get extras on all of them and then I think you get master.

  • how do i get master?? i only got beginner, advanced and expert.....

  • you are way better than me can u teach me how to get that much lives

  • Easy: unlock all 6 party games then, from there, continuously unlock the lives from the gift menu and it'll be a matter of time before you can start with 99 lives (shown as 98). I've had 101 lives once, via the expert course.

  • I was the first 1 to get to master and master ex. I know it because I got it when it came out.

  • i was so young wen i got this and it was the only game i had (at the time) and i played it and i got the master stages and i beat up too nine then i got rid of the game not knowing i had only one level left to beat lol

  • Don't forget the 10 story-mode-exclusive levels (world 10) and the master extra stages as well. The minigames make keeping this game worth it. Should you get an Action Replay, there's also debug mode and moon jump that are fun to fiddle around with.

  • @ulillillia lol dude i was 7 i didnt know tht and i didnt know about the internet lol

  • Master is hard or impossible. I don't even reach to level 10 of master. Level 7 is too hard!

  • Master 7 is possible, just very hard. Keeping on the slowly rotating torus is fairly easy. It's getting on it, from that one bump, that makes it so difficult.

  • @ulillillia On passage ( M4) I think the green goal is easier than the blue, cause most of the time i make the green goal.

  • WAIT... WHY AM I WATCHING THIS

  • me and my bro were playing this at expert extras, i thought it was a little suspicious about not having the space stion on Expert Extras, but we were shocked when we got to Master and Master Extras because we had no idea what happend

  • you are amazing. 1 question, could u make one for story mode please? (:

  • It'll be a long time before that happens and I have actually attempted it, but the video was of too poor of quality.

  • Did you really need 99x lives to do the Master Stages?

  • The first time I played them, 99 wasn't even close to enough - I went through 500 lives' worth just to finally complete master 3. You'll know what I mean when you get access to them via the expert course.

  • I miss the old SMB! This is the last good game in the series, and unfortunately, only the second.

  • A lot of games that were good in the past have gone down hill. It's one reason why there's too few games of interest nowadays for me.

  • For master 2 you can just hold the control stick up and you make it into the goal xD

  • This game is the best!

  • im better

  • OMFG I NEVER KNEW THERE WAS A MASTER LEVEL

    how did u get it?????

  • Master 3 - Cylinders...

My nightmare. I hated so much this level.

  • i can not stop watching this video!

  • your the champion you should be on the world record

  • This is far from my best performance. The first part goes well, but during "dizzy system" and "Nintendo", I have plenty of difficulties.

  • @ulillillia your still good you can destroy me in this game in seconds your a champion for ever and check out my raffle do you want to join in!

  • @MARIORULLES107 w/e I've done better... but I've never done stage 3 on first try... =/

  • None. I never use emulators. I only use the real console (and a TV tuner for recording).

  • I've made it through E1 through MX10 without a continue.

  • Try doing it ending with the same number of lives you started with (or more). I've only once managed same.

  • @ulillillia It would be a long time for me to do that.

  • I've only once managed to do it... but I also needed to use the pausing trick.

  • @ulillillia so what? Doing it all without a continue is something some people can't do.

  • Master 7 Looks hard

  • Cool

  • Chuck Norris must have blessed you

  • He has no effect. I otherwise have no idea who he is and I don't care much to know as I'm not interested.

  • @ulillillia Chuck Norris is a very strong man and an actor that a lot of people like to make jokes about him doing impossible things and someone we seem to look as strong and mighty as God in rare cases x closes dictionary x

  • Easiest level in Master ( should be in advanced EX) lv8. Funny thing I found out about this game is that it's sometimes used to train surgeons 0_o

  • why are lvl 8 so easy??

  • @100smash1 Spite, I'd guess.

  • LVL 8 IS SO EAZY >3 <3 5:28

  • How on earth did you get so many lives?!

  • Unlock all 6 party games and you'll be able to get "gifts". One of them, the only one that's worthy, is that of increasing the maximum number of monkeys (lives) you start with.

  • @ulillillia Thankyou very much, sir or maam :) not really sure which one.

  • Props on cylinders without rush trick.

  • i love this game but its to friggin hard!its good but why did they have tomake it so difficult. i moslty do it for the party games, but i already boughtallof them! :( im in clock tower factory right now

  • Hard? I find SMB2's expert course quite easy actually. The advanced course is harder than the expert course. Of course, I've played for several hundred hours so I have a lot of experience and practice under my belt. With enough practice, you, too, can go through master without using a continue.

  • @ulillillia i think the first monkey ball is even harder than this one. but they are both really good. i have been playing them for years

  • I think the wii games should have taken more influence from this game by adding MORE STAGES and LESS MINI GAMEZ xDDDD.

Much more replayability that way :3

  • These levels don't seem that hard, but sine I don't have the game I wouldn't know -.- Me only playing Banana Blitz for the Wii. How difficult is this game, because looking at these, they don't seem that bad

  • Looks can be deceiving. Watching someone who has hundreds of hours logged on the game makes things look easy to those who never played it. SMB2 and the original SMB both have multiple difficulty settings. Beginner is real easy - I almost never lose a life. I actually find SMB2's advanced course more difficult than its expert course, but it's also the most fun due to the "inchworms" stage - 1350 mph going straight up is just crazy and I get it with an 80% success rate.

  • @ulillillia

On SMB DX i find Beginner harder than Advanced.

  • I also found an easier way to do Centrifugal. Go left at the beginning. You go much faster and you get the goal quicker. (ignore last typo comment)

  • Cylinders is hard? I'm playing master for my first time right now and I just went right through the middle and beat it on my first try :D

  • Comment removed

  • how do you get master stages?

  • Comment removed

  • That's a rather long answer that isn't entirely there - just clear all 50 expert and 10 expert extra stages without using a continue.

  • @ulillillia Well yeah thats the plan. Btw idk if you know this, but you dont loose your score if you use a continue. You just cant add on to it. I never knew that till i started playing master mode. And when i said (expert) i ment master XD

  • Yes, you keep your play points if a continue is used. After the 6 party games are unlocked lives are maxed, play points are essentially useless (I'd have over a million by now). Credits game? Just load a save in story mode that contains only one level left to clear (training (10-1) is a good one - it's quick and very easy). Movie theater? Unless you can blaze through story mode's stages with ease, and you actually like the story there's no point in that either.

  • @ulillillia Yeah, I already have all 99 lives and all the other things. Really, my family unlocked everything on it. Theres really nothing left when you do everything you need to do. All i can really try to do is beat scores and just play for fun. (Also play points)

  • @dragonsko123 You first do beginner, the next one ~lol~, then expert, and then you unlock master. Really thats what I think because I didnt unlock them. My brother did.

dont blame me if im wrong.

  • @ZotzCandy oh ok thanx (btw cant do expert my lil sis will)

  • @dragonsko123 Did you mean master? Dont worry I do that sometimes. Your little sister will? Thats just like me and my bro, he cant do master that well but I can. And one time i was playing master extra lvl 9, and it glitched a weird glitch. My monkey wall rolling, the background was black, and the speed was 999!!!!!!! It was scary o: Oh, and yw. ~Your Welcome~

  • Thank you I was dying to see the master stages!

  • JTAG? What's that?

  • @ulillillia

    XB0X 360 homebrew.

  • On Cylinders, (Expert 3), you can just go strate instead of going around. Its much easyer that way

  • Now i can do master mode without doing it for 5 hours. Its the only level that i have never done that i can finish.

  • in the next 5 hours i will now attempt to beat expert extras, masters, and masters extras XP

  • Anyone else notice the dole logo on the bananas?

  • @MrGeek314

The logo was placed on the bananas and it remained there for the first two games.

  • what platform is this game for? cuz it looks like fun!!!!

  • It's available on the Gamecube (Super Monkey Ball 2) and Playstation 2 (Super Monkey Ball Deluxe).

  • @ulillillia I"d personally get it on the GameCube. I found the PS2 controls to just be awful compared to the GameCube. It may not be that bad if your only used to PS2 perhaps, I can't vouch as I started with the GameCube version and only bought for the extra levels.

  • @ulillillia Don't forget that Super Monkey Ball Deluxe was also released on Xbox, in addition to PS2.

  • @ulillillia

There is a version for Xbox too.

  • It's a shame that most of these "Master" stages are too difficult to even fit under "Expert".

There's a huge difficulty difference if I can no-death this game's master (which I barely play) and not the first one's.

  • @uillillia Chuck Norris is the unquestionable master of the world and is the best at everything, he invented everything etc etc :P

Ps. if u marry any 1 please can we just be friends? XD

  • Swing Bridges looks too easy for Master Level...

  • I couldn't do this if my life depended on it. Your good. :p

  • Wow, impressive. I like these live recordings rather than replay. It's exciting, especially when you hit the top of the goal post. Good at keeping your composure.

  • Ok I just saw ur firework vid...nope yur definatly not a girl XDD

  • If you're a girl would you marry me? =p this game brings back memories lol..lost the game..but ur pretty dam good at it xD

  • My motive for marriage with anyone is so deep into negative territory that it'll probably never happen.

  • @ulillillia I think you're brilliant and all, but some of the Master levels on SM2 look too easy to be on here! SM1's MAster levels looked really heard, and the Extra Master for SM2 looked really hard too! Or is it just me?

  • how do unlock the master stages

  • I almost beat this game, and I even got to the last stage, but after 400 tries (no joke!), I said "screw this" and never tried again.

  • Fall off...... AGAIN Fall off.....Again WOW

  • lol 55555 views

  • Never knew Chuck Norris played Super Monkey Ball.

  • @basszguy123 Chuck Norris can ONLY be the one that can beat Monkey Ball 2

  • What's this Chuck Norris stuff all about? Who is he?

  • @ulillillia he's a wrestler.

  • @ulillillia Chuck Norris is one of the greatest Martail Artists of all time.

  • @ulillillia

    Meh, join the club here.

  • @basszguy123 Chuck Norris beat every video game ever made under a second. it's not in the world record books, because if they were, they would explode from sheer awesomeness.

  • The shortest-lasting game that I'm aware of is "Jaws" on the NES - doable in a measely 5 minutes. 1 second is impossible due to startup screens, logos, etc, let alone finding your way through the numerous levels.

  • i cant get past stage 36 in expert

  • how do you unlock the master stages???!!! :( i'm desper8 plz HELP ME!!!

  • well i have this game and how in the heak do you gat master stages in the first place

  • I have about the same amount of difficulty with advanced than I do with master. I find expert quite easy actually, except for E3 and probably 1 or 2 others.

  • You need a capture card. You can buy one like easycap for about $15.

  • how u make this video without moving the screen cam?

  • What do you mean by "screen cam"? The game's camera always moves, both position and angle.

  • I think he thinks that you are recording with an actuall video camera. BTW What do you use for your videos? Windows movie maker? something else?

  • I use a TV tuner, a device that converts the TV signal into digital format so the computer can display it (and thus record). This provides the maximum possible quality, short of somehow tapping into the console's video card contents and recording what's in memory (though this may have legal issues).

  • Sorry, What I actually meant was what do you use for compressing videos? I can capure clear video but I cannot get a compression that can handle fast movement as well as yours.

  • MJPEG is good for speed and general quality, but my TV tuner won't allow me to choose that option, even though I have the codec. What is available is standard MPEG-2. I'd like to go with 12 Mbps, but my TV tuner's software limits it to 8 Mbps. I use Xvid (MPEG-4) to save the archived and YouTube versions, using Virtual Dub. Nearly all of this is free software (the TV tuner isn't), including the codecs (MPEG-2 uncertain).

  • @ulillillia

Using Virtual Dub I have one question. When using the compressions which one would you recomend? I Like the videos to stay sharp and smooth rather than sharp and choppy. What do you recomend for very high speeds that is under 2 GB? also what should the VirtualDub configurations be?

  • I don't know what you mean by "choppy", so I can't help you there. I'm assuming it means skipping. Skipping is often due to dropped frames. This is often due to your computer being unable to keep up with real time recording (causing duplicate frames to be inserted to keep in sync). Either reduce the video resolution (i.e. use 480x320 instead of 720x480) or use a faster codec (MJPEG is blazing fast, but tends to result in large video files). If it's something else, let me know.

  • @ulillillia

I'm going to message your PM box so that this sonvo. doesn't take up your comment space.

  • this is by far the best monkey ball game ever made

  • @Chezmat1 yeah really i still play this all the time

  • 4:41 epic fail! XD

  • ?????

  • gamecube

  • @xXhaloman103Xx Nintendo GameCube

  • what system is that?

  • i have master in SMB1 and SMB2

  • oops i spelled advanced wrong

  • on SM1 you cant fall at all on beginner or advancedc if you want to get the extras

  • Expert in SMB1 requires that you clear all 50 floors without using a continue, which seems oddly inconsistent, though nice for the player. Clear the expert extra floors without using a continue as well, and master mode is available. Short of using Action Replay and debug mode, I've never seen the master stages in SMB1. I have, however, reached expert extra, though only once, without AR. Master is very easy to get in SMB2 because you can start with 99 lives instead of just 3.

  • SM2 is awsome i even got master mode!!!

  • get lots of points

  • how do u get 99 lives?

  • First, unlock all 6 party games. Then, you can buy monkeys with your play points, 500 each. This increases the maximum limit of lives you can have. It's the only thing play points are good for aside from a quick review of the game's story. The credits game is easy to play - complete all but one easy level in story mode then repeatedly load that file and clear that stage to play it - it's free and almost as fast.

  • tthnks abunch LD

  • Aaahh the good old times when I used to play this game

  • well thanks for telling me ill try it someday

  • How do you obtain this all powerful level on challange mode?

  • You have to complete all of expert and expert extra (that's 60 stages in all - skipping is allowed) in order to gain access to master.

  • I think MB 1 is harder than 2, love monkey ball series

  • How were you jumping on INTERMITTENT?

  • If you look closely, there's a sudden, low "bump" in the pathway. By hitting this bump with enough speed, you can use it to "jump" in a way. Have you played the "bumpy" stage, world 1-3 or beginner 3? If you've played this game, you should've easily seen that stage.

  • @ulillillia i have this game n i beat it n i didnt c any thing special about that stage

  • There's another stage called "bumpy check" in world 2 that has a similar layout. Look closely and you'll see the odd areas jutting out, some are higher than usual while others are a bit lower. If you dart straight ahead at high speed in "bumpy", you'll bounce up really high. It's how you get that 10-pack of bananas high above the stage.

  • You messing up, shows the rest of us that your human.. NICE WORK

  • What's the point of the first sentence? What, do robots play as well?

  • Comment removed

  • lol u play much like i do when ur a tiny bit more concentrated and the master lvls were fun

  • how do u unlock master stages

  • @unknown1035 u have to beat expert and expert extra without using a continue

  • thnx i already kno though, i got the extras too but its soo hard

  • you are a great monkey baller, anyway how do you get the master stages on smbd for ps2, i will give you a shout when ive got them .

  • I have absolutely no idea since I don't have the Deluxe version. It should still be the same as the Gamecube version - see my other comments for details as this is asked often.

  • oh well, thanks anyway 5/5

  • You pass all 50 expert stages and extra without a continue. I'm still working on it. I've bought 99 lives! lol but this guy is amazing! :)

  • so i guess its the same for SMBD only 100 stages and 20 extra insted?

  • I have no idea what SMBD is like so I can't say. Given how 1 and 2 are (SMBA doesn't have this), it's basically clearing every stage in a given course without using a continue that unlocks the extra stages. If the expert course is used, you'll also need to do the extra stages without using a continue.

  • How do u get master stages .. and wow u r awsome

  • I don't exactly know, but to play the master stages, you just need to complete all 50 expert and all 10 expert extra stages without using a continue. To select "master" as an option for the difficulty, I believe you need to also complete all 10 master and possibly all 10 master extra stages as well.

  • Thank you!

  • I had this game. It was cool.

My girlfriend stole it from me. =(

  • In the previous comment is a mistake. This is correct: Repeating now in English and not Spanish. How do I get the master level?. Forgive me if I do not write well but I'm Mexican and I speak Spanish

  • I can only speak English, but your English is actually very good for someone who doesn't know it well. To get master level as a selectable difficulty option, I believe you need to complete all expert, expert extra, master, and master extra in one go. Perhaps it's just master only. Checking cheat code Web sites would be the best alternative that I can think of.

  • Repeating now in Spanish and not English. How do I get the master level?

  • Also, for mx3, i usually dart foward, hit the side off the first cylindar, make a jump to the other cylinder and charge for the goal. it takes a few tries but is a lot simpler. Even though you do it a lot better the normal way :P

  • I only did it the normal way because, at the time, it was the only way I knew how to do that stage, and you're confusing M3 for ME3. M3 is cylinders (the one you're referring to), ME3 is ooparts. It took me 500 lives' worth to do M3 for the first time because it was so hard.

  • I completley LOST on Ooparts. i had literally NO IDEA

  • The only method I have is to get on the left, wait for the gap plus about a half second or something, then roll off the edge turning to the right. It's making it through the hole at the other side that's the hardest part. Do that, and the goal is in reach.

  • Yea. I was soooo unlucky, because i didnt get warp goal and was stuck with it.

  • :D

Someone else who got to master!

To tell the truth, i finished expert and thought that was it. 4 years later, i decide "What the hell, ill play"

I beat the expert extra and then master appears. i beat it psu the extra :D

Gamecube stage ftw!!! Btw, add me :D

  • how many stages are in master

  • I've always found the green goal easier to do than the regular on Master 4, idk why. Never actually attempted the regular goal on Master 4, so Master 5 is new to me. I found Master 3 worse than Master 7. Nice trick on Master 8, I could use that :D

  • I actually had no idea that M4 had a green goal until I was told about it i
