I'm 15 and I started playing golf a few months ago, I reached HCP 18 before winter have a few questions about golf equipment. Currently I have a TommyArmour beginner-kit incl: Driver, 5wood, 4hy, 6-SW, Putter + vokey 60*

I really want a new complete set but it's really expensive and my dad says I should wait a year since I'm just a beginner and I haven't reached "adult size" yet. So my question is:

When did you buy your first "expensive" golfset? What age? Handicap? Did you get custom fitted?

@Yokto1337 I would suggest hitting regular sized clubs as early as possible. Never buy a "set" buy separate irons, wedges, woods etc. I got some players clubs when I was 13 and was a 12 hdcp. The irons really taught me how to hit the ball well.

Sweet clubs dude. The guy who won the volvo tournament this weekend on the European tour had the same style shaft that you have in your 910H in his driver. Pretty cool.

ive got pretty much the same clubs but i went with the mizuno mp68 over the 710 and i just sold my 910f. thinking about getting the 910h to replace it

Nice. Very similar to what I have for the 2012 year. 9.5 910D2, mizuno mp68(couldn't get mb710 for good price), 13.5 910f, vokey wedges, Scotty Newport 2 and I was thinking about getting that 910h in 19 also.

@Callaway1096 You'll really like the 910H, its a great club. I hit a bunch of balls with it last night and loved it. And the C-Tapers do spin less than other shafts for sure I haven't had any green holding problems unless I'm coming out of the rough with a 3 iron. They easily stop just not as fast. A pw will stop within 5 feet of the ball mark.

Really nice set, I have 910d,f,h now just got the hybrid haven't played with it either. How do you like the ctapers? I have s300s and when they hit the green it stops, I heard the ctapers don't do that. Check out and comment on mine

@themanxgolfer thanks man. I was hitting it at the range last night and its a great combo. I was comparing it to my dads 910h with the stock ahina and its much easier to control and it doesn't ballon up if I go after it.

@dustinjohnsonfan9 yes very good site. They don't actually stock the products, they basically order them from the company and the company sends them to you. So its all legit. They've been around for 16 years and I haven't seen any bad comments about them really.

@akfan47 a hybrid launch is supposed to launch high...otherwise you wouldn't be able to stop it. And the higher the launch and the lower the spin will travel the farthest in a driver. So It probably did seem like it launched too high since its a high launch low spin shaft.

@SupraTuner2323 oh bro when i mean high i mean like 19-21 degree LAUNCH. that is way TOO high. I hit the ball high anyways so thats probably why. I tried a 7.5 degree 910 d3 with a 73x and even that still launched at 16-18 degree launch. Plus i get around 3000 rpms in spin rate so that doesn't help either
