  • And the huge growth of the industry due to the war has given it a bad name...largely due to cowboy mentality.  But Scahill gives the impression that the free market has failed...when it's really corporatism he should be attacking.

  • The growth comes out of an unnecessary need. People are so dumb to believe that war is a viable means to establishing economic growth. Sheep minded people are the one's who suffer and feel they are progressing because they can kill innocent people.

  • What's the point? The blame still lies with the politicians and not the men on the ground.

  • Blackwater isn't the problem. It's a symptom of the problem. I've taken a class from them, and they're good solid Americans. The problem is no-bid contracts, an overextended military, and cronyism.

  • Sure. But we're at war...in multiple countries. Until that changes, or until we reinstate a draft, we don't have the manpower without private contractors.

    Clinton used more contractors per soldier in Bosnia than Bush has in Afghanistan/Iraq.
