^ he calls Buddhism a bunch of lies, says Buddha did not exist, calls Buddhists "statue worshippers," advocates killing, says he wants nothing to do with "fake" Buddhism, calls Buddha "crazy." He calls people hippie, idiot & tells them to get a job and seek help just like he did here. Etc
"The whole religion of Buddhism is based on delusion & a fabricated bunch of tall tales, made up by a bunch of so called "monks" who wanted to get rich.
Buddha likely never existed, but even if he did no one knows what he actually said since his so called followers didn't write anything down
And I know you don't believe in a Creator, that was based on Buddhas ERROR! (IF HE EXISTED!)"
@Kalachakra91 In Tibetan Buddhism they believe in God in a form, as well in Shin Buddhism they believe in something which would equate to God (cosmic Buddhas which are an emanation of the "dharmakaya" in general in all Buddhism the Dharmakaya is what comedy closest to being what other religions call "God"
@rcmeisty1 Why? This man, Dr Wolf is an eminent physicist, and a firm believer in God.
As the other posters have pointed out, there are many similarities. PErsonally I think they may have picked them up from other cultures such as the Afghans, any of whom do have ancient jewish ancestry (based on their DNA)
@KTK401 He's talking about the fact that all forms of Buddhism are completely atheist including all forms of Tibetan Buddhism, including what you are misinterpreting (ie. Buddhist Deities). There is nothing in Buddhism that equates to what other religions call "God," neither dharmakaya nor the sambhogakaya deity manifestations. It's not something that I can explain to you in a short YouTube comment, so go to any Buddhist forum website anywhere & state your claim. You'll be corrected everywhere.
@NathanSnyder13 No form of Buddhism is Atheist (unless you count the "atheist buddhist" lefty movement of "American Buddhism" which is not Buddhism at all.
God in Buddhism is an impersonal power, omnipresent, & universal & is in & around all things. In essence, all reality is "God", so just because God in Buddhism is not a "personal" God or a "Creator" doesn't mean there is no God in Buddhism.
You should really stop wasting your time pretending to be a Buddhist if you want to be an atheist..
In fact what you said made me laugh because not only is Buddhism NOT Atheism, in fact it is ULTRA-Theistic. God in Buddhism (although not a "personal" one, & not "creator") is actually not separate from the physical world, rather the physical world is manifestation of the spiritual realm, & therefore "God" is all existence, everything is spiritual.
Last on this point, theism is belief in spirit, & as stated Buddhism is belief in spirit in that *everything* is made of spirit....
@KTK401 Your comments have proven to the world that you have NO concept of the Buddhism whatsoever. You could probably catch up simply going to Wikipedia since they actually do have a nice easy page for you to read that explains the difference of these terms and concepts from both Buddhist and Vedanta perspectives, but of course you would not want to be proven wrong.
Dare I suggest you read a book? Maybe visit an authentic lineage-holding Buddhist teacher? Nah, why bother? You like Vedanta!
@NathanSnyder13 You are going mad, getting all worked up, getting yourself in a tizzy!
You are deluded, & so to you I don't "get buddhism". Truth is, I understand perfectly the REAL orthodox Buddhism.
You have deluded yourself into believing the "buddhistic atheism" is the real buddhism.
What are you blathering about now with the Vedanta? That is Vedic (Hindu) belief. Wikipedia as a source of information on Buddhism is WORTHLESS since it has been hijacked by you atheists! LOL
The Dalai Lama: "Basically, religions may be divided into two groups. One group, including Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and some ancient Indian traditions, I call God religions. Their fundamental faith is in a Creator. The other group of religious tradition, including Jainism, Buddhism, I usually call godless religions. They do not believe in a Creator."
@NathanSnyder13 i already explained to you that "God" in Buddhism is not a Creator (or even personal) but is still a universal spirit (God!) Buddhism is Panentheistic, and in essence Monism.
It is not the end of "story" but rather the beginning. if you want to be an atheist, go ahead & be an atheist.
But don't make a fool out of yourself by hijacking a religion & reinterpreting it as atheism.
Buddhism is NOT atheism.
Just accept that very basic fact & move on with your sad life.
@KTK401 Google this, find the Dalai Lama's full answer and stop destroying the dharma:
"Q: You have said that according to Buddhist philosophy there is no Creator, no God of creation, and this may initially put off many people who believe in a divine principle. Can you explain the difference between the Vajrayana Primordial Buddha and a Creator God?
A: I understand the Primordial Buddha, also known as Buddha Samantabhadra, to be the ultimate reality, the realm of the Dharmakaya..."
In Buddhism, God is not "creator" but "ultimate reality"
Either way God is universal spirit. Buddhism is even more spiritual (theistic) in a way since all reality, all existence is this universal, infinite spirit.
You are obviously one of these semi-literates that thinks that "theism" means belief in a "deity" Tragic sign of the decline of an poor educational system!
some of Sokei-An’s observations on Buddhist practice:
“Everyone thinks that Buddha is different from everyday human beings. Some Buddhists believe that Buddha has been living for a million years in the Western Sky. We [i.e. the practitioners of Rinzai Zen] have no relation to such a Buddha. We have nothing to do with the Buddha living in the Western Sky. Our own Buddha nature is Buddha. Of course, sentient beings are like orphans who never know their own home …
....“Once in a long while, man realizes Buddha nature within himself. Then, suddenly, he realizes that his hand is the hand of Buddha – the Lotus Hand. He realizes that he himself is Buddha. There is no other Buddha in the world.” (The Zen Eye, “Buddha Nature”, p. 4).
Sokei An on the real Buddhism.
Buddhism is not Atheism. It is Monism (Panentheistic)
@NathanSnyder13 Oh give it a rest. It is Panentheism and it is Monism. Just accept it and move on with your sad miserable atheistic life.
You atheists who call yourself "buddhists", you frauds, you always look for an excuse to claim that those who present the genuine Buddhism (Panentheistic/Monistic/Spiritual) don't "understand" buddhism....
Your buddhism is atheism & NOT Buddhism. It is stupid to pretend Buddhism is even close to atheism. It is the exact opposite it atheism
Hahaha. I correctly recognized you as a paranoid. Paranoid atheist with pretensions of being called a "Buddhist"
No atheist is a Buddhist.
Whoever Evans or Wentz were, they were right. No genuine (Asian!) Buddhist claims that there is no universal spirit, no life after death no consciousness etc. No genuine Buddhist is an "atheist"
Atheism does not just mean non belief in a "deity". You atheists have tried to reinvent Buddhism.
Gee, you really know yer stuff, dood! Don't even happen to know who translated the first version of the Tibetan Book of the Dead (incorrectly; the way you are describing Buddhism, btw).
@NathanSnyder13 It is you & and the new American lefty "atheistic buddhism" movement who have misinterpreted Buddhism to try & reinvent it (absurdly!) as "atheism"
Buddhism believes in rebirth/reincarnation, karma, heaven, hell, good & evil, the pursuit of "Holiness" & the promise of Nirvana (everlasting life in heaven) for those who attain purity & holiness. This is just some of Buddhism's basic teachings.
@KTK401 you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. And to top it off, you leave this comment on my channel: "you smoke too much weed. Get a job." I don't smoke any weed whatsoever and you are an oblivious loudmouth who obviously has no familiarity with Buddhism outside some very poor books.
I have been studying Buddhism for 15 years with Lama Pema (Tibetan, Nyingma) Lama Pema (Tibetan, Sakya), Lama Tsering Everest (translator of Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche) and Namkhai Norbu (Tibetan).
@NathanSnyder13 Sorry but I know plenty son. Don't get in a tizzy! Here we go again with the "I have been studying buddhism for X years" crap. Spare me your histrionic BS.
I have studied Buddhism since before you were born.
Everything I said stands...you had no answer for it.
If you want to be an atheist, be an atheist. But don't hijack a major world religion & reinterpret it to suit American leftist thinking.
Buddhism (especially Tibetan!) is not atheism. Live with it atheist!
@KTK401 You have not and you are a liar. Don't tell me to "not get in a tizzy" simply for replying to each of your 3 responses, fraud.
I answered every single invalid "point" you tried to make. Buddhism is atheist. Anyone who has ever gone to ANY introductory teaching would hear it right off the bat. The fact that you are trying to claim you've been studying before I was born (when I am 37 and you are 38) and you don't know simple basics makes it very clear you are lying loudmouth fraud.
@NathanSnyder13 Oh but I have you silly little boy! You are the only fraud here. But too bad you are also stupid!
Buddhism is not only not atheist...it is in fact ULTRA-theistic. Some other religions (as you brought up with your sad Dalai Lama quote!) are seen as dualist. Where Spirit & Physical are separate
In Buddhism all physical existence is also spiritual. "God" is the Ultimate Reality
You are just another sad bitter ranting lefty upset at the reality that Buddhism is not atheism! :)
@KTK401 Sorry to tell you but the list of great Tibetan lamas who have written that Buddhism is atheist is too long to actually fit in a small YouTube comment. You are confusing the hell out of spiritual and theist. Spiritual is not theistic.
When the Pope called Buddhism atheist, the Dalai Lama was asked for comment and his response was "The Pope is correct."
Keep trying, though. You're doing a bang-up job of making an ass of yourself.
@NathanSnyder13 You have either misunderstood these "great Tibetan lamas" are you are misinterpreting them to suit your own atheistic agenda.
The Pope meant "atheist" in the sense of having no Creator God. So yes he and the Dalai Lama were correct in that sense. The both misused the term "atheist".
You are making a complete ass of yourself and trying to deflect it!
BTW the Dalai Lama is not a central figure in Buddhism. There are only 6 million Tibetans! (out of 330m Buddhists!)
@KTK401 Nope, I have not misunderstood anything. They usually say virtually the same choice of words. You must have never attended a Buddhist lecture in your life which means you have never received transmission or empowerment or any one-on-one teachings.
Like I said, keep trying. The other Buddhists who have shown up here all agreed with me, not you. There's a reason for that. Keep fightin'...
@KTK401 Dude, everyone can see you believe in Jesus The Messiah and you don't understand Buddhism. It's quite easy to get mixed up when you read a lot of different religions and say, "they're really saying the same thing!" You're not the first and you won't be the last. If you decide to learn about Buddhism, though, it would be a good idea to begin a personal relationship with a respected lineage-holding teacher. Good luck!
@NathanSnyder13 What an idiot you are "dude". Did it ever occur to you that I may have many friends & relatives who are Buddhists & as an academic I may have studied comparative religion?
How stupid are you?
If you decide to learn about Buddhism, you might want to learn the real one: Asian Buddhism, that is the REAL Buddhism...which is not even close to atheism, in fact it is the exact opposite of it.
@KTK401 Did it ever occur to you that I actually have many friends & relatives who are Buddhists & as an academic I may have studied comparative religion? Therefore, I actually don't say idiotic things like "whoever Evans or Wentz were"? Or that Buddhism is monism? Anyone who argues up and down about Buddhism being characterized as "atheist" doesn't have a fucking clue.
@KTK401 I'm actually just trying to help you out here; you are clearly the one who is upset about this. You stated this opinion months ago and tried to pick a fight with the last Buddhist who came here to point out Buddhism is in fact atheist and your initial response to my 1 post was 3 posts. I replied considerately to your nasty posts and you immediately came back with more and more, nastier and nastier.
The last Buddhist that came out with this, was rightly put in his place by a genuine (Asian) Buddhist and after that the atheist (non Buddhist) never came back.
I guess he realized (like all you atheist fake buddhists do in the end) that one can be either one or the other.
And he showed his true colours by abandoning Buddhism and going back to his true Atheist beliefs.
@KTK401 thank you for demonstrating that you have zero character or credibility. "Go find it" = you don't want to post the forum because you know there is no such forum or you have just barely posted a link to this AFTER the fact and want to buy some time so that HOPEFULLY some people may take your side.
So far, Googling "KTK401" has just turned up the sort of websites I expected: commenting about The Quantum Activist, Jesus, and a whole lot of people telling you that you're wrong. No surprise.
Yeap. My understanding of Buddhism is of the orthodox, genuine (Asian) Buddhism.
Not the absurd, "it's all a concept", there is no "life after death & talk of that in Buddhism is merely metaphor for what happens in this world" crap that is spewed by Stephen Batchelor types and other hippies like you.
I'm starting to realize that you have a very low IQ anyway. You are too stupid to realize how stupid you sound!
@KTK401 No, you barely have knowledge of Zen and what you do know of it is misunderstood and obviously learned only from books without any guidance from a real teacher to help you unlearn your misconceptions.
You keep harping on your own imaginary strawmen such as "merely a metaphor" which is something I have never once said. Likewise, I never remotely denied or scoffed at karma, samsara, nirvana, rebirth, and many other things you clearly do not understand. You keep saying the same thing.
@KTK401 look in the mirror. The case was closed long ago. But, to recap:
The only one who is watering down the dharma is you. The only one who claims to be Buddhist AND believes Jesus is the messiah is you. The only one who claims to be Buddhist AND believes in the soul is you. The only one who claims to be Buddhist AND considers Buddhism to be monism is you. The only one who claims to be Buddhist but is actually espousing Vedanta is you.
Apparently you're a racist, too, judging by your comments here...
watch?v=8_dNi8pVxmA
Some of your comments there:
"Scythian language is survived today by the Ossetians (Alans) And we want NOTHING to do with you turks!...And we are the last surviving members of the great Scythian race - INDO EUROPEANS.
Sycythians are not, and were never turkic...stupid turkish moron...illiterate turkish savage...Stop wasting my time you carpet bagging peasant!"
@NathanSnyder13 Listen idiot. The person I was responding to was the racist.
I'm not going to tolerate racism and not say anything back.
The Scythians are not and were never turkic. If some jackhole rants on here & calls me a "stupid ossetian moron" I will respond in kind! :) Gladly!
In any case, thanks for proving that you are paranoid. Spending your time tracking down my posts on other forums from nearly a year ago!! ahahahahaha!
@KTK401 Searching your name was an hilarious eye-opening experience. I got as far as page 2 or 3 on Google simply because you told me to Google your name, doofus. All I found were people getting pissed off at you and you ranting about various subjects.
You are one argumentative fool. Boxing, religious cartoons, you name it. Do you ever have YouTube conversations that don't involve name-calling and insults?
You telling me I have a personality disorder is quite hilarious. You = not Buddhist.
@NathanSnyder13 Why did you waste the time of the "lineage-holding" teacher when you were being dishonest & not telling him that you are actually an atheist, and as such don't actually believe anything he is teaching??! You are a fraud!
You lied to your own so called "teacher" (Actually I think you are full of it personally!)
When you decide to learn about genuine Buddhism....oh wait, it's no use to you, since you are an atheist!
@KTK401 Every public talk I've ever attended has a question and answer period at the end. Someone always asks if Buddhism is atheist. Every lama always says the same thing. It is an atheist spirituality.
@KTK401 It's sad that you don't realize you have just made yourself look a hundred times stupider and have not succeeded in mocking me one iota.
Again, you did not link that forum. This is now the FIFTH time I am requesting the name of the forum where you came from and all your buddhist friends were laughing at me on this video.
@NathanSnyder13 I doubt that it would be of any use to an atheist.
Look, I'm well aware that there is a section of western society that thinks it's "cool" to enhance the image of their atheism, but adding a veneer of Buddhism to it. But the reality is, Buddhism is the diametric opposite of atheism, since in Buddhism all existence is an "ocean of soul" as the venerable Sokei An demonstrated.
Atheism is the belief in NOTHING spiritual. Perhaps you don't understand the term "theos"
@KTK401 It's not like Tibetans are the only respected Buddhist teachers, monks, gurus, lamas on record stating Buddhism is atheist spirituality. It's common in Theravadin discussions as well.
I mean, there you have it, a totally commonplace statement that you are completely oblivious about.
There's no "winning" this for you, no matter how many times you tell me to "give it a rest" and "go back to my sad life." Thank goodness you're posting anonymously, right?
@NathanSnyder13 There is no "winning" if arguing with an idiot like you. You are obviously a dropout with no real education if you can't understand the term theism actually means, the basic fact that atheism is to be devoid of "spirituality" and if you genuinely believe that it even makes sense to say that atheism and spirituality are compatible, let alone complementary like in your mad view of Buddhism!
I realize I have been arguing with a complete moron.
@KTK401 I love it when you show your true colors. You remind me of some conservative southerners I've met on other forums. Their go-to insult is always "get a job, hippy" and stuff like that. Ad hominem is for morons. Why don't you say some more stuff about me being a Jew? Since I am neither a jew nor do I imbibe intoxicating substances, you might as well go back to telling me what a bad jew I am while you condemn me for smoking pot and having no job (btw, I have a job).
@NathanSnyder13 Hahahaha!!! What are you talking about now you nutter. Is it my fault you hit the bong too much? I could not possibly be a conservative southerner you fool! Not my fault they have also seen the truth is it....:)
There is nothing wrong with being Jew!
Nice to hear you have a job. Now go back to school....
“… you think that your soul is your own soul, different from my soul, and that God created each soul individually. We do not think so. We think all existence is soul, an ocean of soul, and we are the waves. This is the Buddhist’s basic concept of the universe.” (The Zen Eye, “The Universe is Another Name for Infinite Consciousness”, p. 31).
@KTK401 Buddhists do not believe in a "soul" for sure and the term "spiritual" is only for convenience. You do not understand dependent origination or emptiness very well at all.
You also place way too much importance on what I have favorited without any consideration to why it may be favorited. It's much better for you to assume the worst and try some ad hominem tactics. Unfortunately for you, I happen to favorite videos which I find completely stupid and want to save for sharing purposes.
@KTK401 pretty freaking odd since no Buddhist would ever use the term "soul" seeing as how that is one of THE defining differences between Buddhism and Vedanta... but, sure, whatever. You're batting a thousand, ain't ya?
How about that forum you just came in from, liar? You know, the one I've asked you for now 3 times already that you haven't posted the name of? The one where all your buddhist friends were laughing at me? Yes, let's see that forum, please. Thank you.
....In any case, the consciousness survives death and goes on to be reborn/reincarnated etc.
What is truly laughable is how often "atheistic Buddhists" (ie, fake buddhists!) will quote doctrine after doctrine, whilst not even believing in them, but at the same time dogmatically clinging to them!
Since you people believe in nothing, no life after death, no spirituality, nothing but the material, why make fools out of yourselves by clinging to Buddhist doctrines? LOL
Buddhist "forum websites" are not frequented by genuine Buddhists (basically meaning Asian Buddhists)
These websites are the reserve of the lefty american buddhists who reinterpret everything in the Pali Canon as well as the further Mahayana teachings (Lotus Sutra etc) as mere "concepts". Concepts of what exactly? Only a fool would think the spiritual teachings above would be "concepts" designed as metaphors for "atheism". Who cares?
Asian (ie, Real) Buddhists are Panentheists, not atheists.
@NathanSnyder13 For example, in Mahayana Buddhism, specifically Shin & Pure Land Buddhism, Amitabha Buddha (Buddha of the infinite light) offers *salvation* (literally not "metaphorically) & eternal life in "Pure Land" (Heaven), to all those who entrust themselves to him. Literally man can be saved from Samsara and enter Nirvana by faith in Amitabha Buddha....and so on.
In Buddhism, the spiritual realm etc, are ontological realities, not "metaphors".
@KTK401 Gee, someone has now given us several examples of Buddhism which he does not understand. Amitabha's Pure Land, Sukhavati, is not "heaven." He is not like a Jesus savior figure, either. And being reborn in Sukhavati does not make you automatically a Buddha.
The "spiritual realm," as you put it, is not separate from the material realm in Buddhism. Someone here (you) needs to learn about dependent origination and the three kayas.
@NathanSnyder13 Actually Sukhavati is "heaven". Only atheists like you want to reinterpret it to say it is a "metaphor" and so on. That is laughable. And very predictable!!
It doesn't surprise me of course since as I already pointed out, ontological truths in real Buddhism are presented by you atheists as "metaphors".
Too bad you wasted 15 years of your life "studying" something which goes against your own belief that there is nothing but the material world (atheism) !
@KTK401 Please... just stop trying to poorly educate me about things I already know far better than you.
@NathanSnyder13 No one could possibly educate you, since you are obviously too dull and far too self absorbed (a dangerous and tragic combination!)
I already explained to you, but you are obviously too dense to realize, that "godless" in the sense of having no central Creator God does not equate with Atheism.
@KTK401 "But we must be careful in speaking of this source, we must not be led into error. I do not mean chat there exists somewhere, there, a sort of collective clear light, analogous to the non-Buddhist concept of Brahma as a substratum. We must not be inclined to deify this luminous space."
Where your argument falls flat is where you apparently fail to realize the most: there are no beings and therefore there are no superior beings. Ultimately, the Buddha Nature of all "beings" is the same.
I already explained this all to you, but as I said before, you are obviously too dense to figure it out!
Perhaps the terms Panentheism & Monism went right over your stupid head. Perhaps my explaining that God in Buddhism is not seen as a "deity" was too complicated for you
Go stick to your "UFOs" and other garbage
Since you believe in no life after death, no spirituality, no universal spirit, nothing but the material world, why claim to be a Buddhist? LOL!
@KTK401 Well, like your average religious zealot internutter, you project a lot of fantasies onto other people and condemn without bothering to stop and learn anything. Pardon me for not realizing those were the actions of a happy fellow.
@NathanSnyder13 You are the one projecting fantasies. First of all, you follow fantasies: UFOs (LOL!) and "conspiracy theories"
No one has condemned you...you are PARANOID!
The fact is, you are an atheist with pretensions of being called a "Buddhist". There is no"Atheistic Buddhism" There is only "Buddhist flavoured" Atheism. And that is not Buddhism at all.
So stop wasting your own time & others by pretending that you are even close to the GENUINE (Asian) Buddhism.
@KTK401 Here's you: "Yeah, man... UFOs = paranoid crazy weed-smoking nutcase... but Jesus Christ, yeah he was totally the messiah, bro. And I know cuz I'm a Buddhist who realizes Buddhism is monism and that it involves a universal spirit."
PLEASE take your silly ass over to a Buddhist forum (there are plenty with "GENUINE (Asian)" Buddhist teachers. There are several, in fact. Post your nonsense. See the response. You will immediately have a stroke.
@NathanSnyder13 Sorry but I came over here from one. They are all laughed at your silly drivel.
Here are more of your paranoid crazed ramblings:
"Yeah, man... UFOs = paranoid crazy weed-smoking nutcase... but Jesus Christ, yeah he was totally the messiah, bro. And I know cuz I'm a Buddhist who realizes Buddhism is monism and that it involves a universal spirit."
Yeah you said that you sad pathetic atheist loony.
And while you are there, tell them you are an atheist, and that you scoff at the idea of life after "death" (which Buddhists don't believe in), rebirth, reincarnation, samsara, nirvana, spirituality, etc etc
And watch them slap their foreheads thinking: "here we go again, another westerner who thinks he knows our religion better than us"!!
@KTK401 where in the hell did you get the idea I was a jew? It is bizarre how you just imagine shit. I'm guessing you have mental issues. Since I've recently learned that many people who act like you are actually shut-ins on mental disability, the internet has started to make a lot more sense. Having seen some of your other squabbles now, I'm bored of you and see this is absolutely pointless.
@NathanSnyder13 A bit like you imagining all kinds of crazy conspiracy theories and "UFOs"
You guessed wrong sunshine boy! :) I got the idea because you were bringing up Jesus repeatedly, as though you can use comments about "Jesus" as a ploy to deflect criticism....& your name is Jewish. Perhaps you had a Jewish ancestor. NVM
I saw you're are a waste of time earlier when you spoke of Buddhism being "atheist spirituality"
NVM

Many Tibetan Lamas are obviously misunderstanding the meaning of the English term "theism"
Theism is belief in SPIRIT or anything Divine (divine does not only mean "a god") Not just a "deity" or "personal God"
In Buddhism (as you already pointed yourself, bizarrely!) God is essentially all existence. The physical world is merely an emanation of the spiritual world.
Buddhism is Panentheistic. If you don't understand this go back to school.
@KTK401 Right. Especially the ones who got an Oxford education. You have absolutely no familiarity with Tibetan lamas if you think they wouldn't have learned all about "theism" before commenting on it publicly. Wow.
@NathanSnyder13 Look, there are a lot of people in religions who water them down. There are Jews and Christians who water down their teachings & call them "concepts", there are Hindus that do the same.
Either these "lamas" didn't truly understand the context the term was used in, or the were of the watered down school of thought.
Buddhism is not Atheism. Buddhism believe in spirit, life after death & a spiritual realm.
Just accept it & go back to your atheist worldview.
@KTK401 the only one who is watering down the dharma is you. The only one who was a western (and New Agey) understanding of the dharma is you.
Thank goodness you are posting with your real name! I'd hate for anyone to be fooled out there and give a nutter like you a job, at least this way if karma leads them to see your insane ramblings on here they will be saved from that folly!
@KTK401 "But we must be careful in speaking of this source, we must not be led into error. I do not mean chat there exists somewhere, there, a sort of collective clear light, analogous to the non-Buddhist concept of Brahma as a substratum. We must not be inclined to deify this luminous space." — Dalai Lama
muslims also read quran like tibetians do nd there r sum similiarities between christianity nd in islam but it doesnt mean that tibetian r muslims or muslims r christians!!!!
you guys should wikipedia lema , or lemba , I dont reember , a group that claims to be from israel but doesn't practice judaism , instead a close religion , claim they came from yemen and built great zimbabwe in search of gold. genetic tests found them to be strongly middle eastern\levantine.
I would not confuse Judaism with Buddhism. Judaism is based upon revelation to a tribe of people of a set of commandments to be done. Buddhism is about removing a state of existential suffering through meditation practice to reach an aware state of enlightened consciousness. The main thing these two religions have in common is that they both emphasize the individual is responsible for their own observation and actions.
Seeing as the Buddha was a philosopher/teacher The Tibetans are not praying to him or worshiping him any more than somebody from the west worships Plato or Aristotle. All they are doing is having philosophic debates, not arguments over God. Lol. Attempting to find similarities between Judaism and any branch of Buddhism is like trying to find similarities between Islam and and Shintoism. LOL!
I see what he is talking about. He is just making an observation of the similarities of their religious rituals or practices, That's All. Fred Wolf is far from a loon spouting his mouth off.
That needs to be proved with a biblical and historical information. Not by a white man running his mouth, so unless this is not supported by facts, is just another man spitting BS out of his ass wisdom.
Not that made any sense in reply to my comment, but i'm not hating. I thought someone who was using a bible as proof was silly. There's no hate there? It's an observation. Your initial comment seemed to be the one hating on a man giving his opinion.
Why? Dont you know that the history and laws of the hebrews are written in the bible? Dont you know that NOT one single religion teaches the truth about the bible? Dont you know that the ones that changed the bible were the europeans and we all are getting a washed version of the hebrews traditions? So why not question his theory? We all can run our mouths and talk all day...but the facts are just one. And that takes time to find.
No, i don't. No, don't - but i'm not at all surprised. Yes i did - but so what, i'm not getting a washed version because i don't read it, haven't and never will, any sooner than i'd read Harry Potter. Why not indeed? I've got no problem with you questioning his theory? The problem is using the bible as evidence or fact in the first place. Try to get your head round this concept it's got a whole bunch of wisdom in there, but maybe it's not true huh? Maybe? Can you do that?
There's no need for a comparative analysis to look for a "lost tribe".
Every culture on the world shares an enormous amount of resemblances with cultures that never had contact with eachother. Are the Mayans lost Egyptians ?
No, I don't think so either, but we might all be the inheritors of a past culture/civilization that was in all levels much more advanced than we assume the paleolithic world could've been.
the proble is the world does not know who they realy are.danish, germans bittons, white america.the jews in isreal are only the tribe of judah, what about the other 11.why is isreal backed by american tax $ and england, why was hitler a jew finance by jewish families its called diversion.jews have been doing this since SUMER SEMETIC before igypt babilon.they use the so called chosen of GOD as a scare tactic, take it from a jew.
Why do Jews always think everyone goes back to them? It's crazy! Tibetan Buddhism is a far cry from Judaism and even the Kabbalah. Maybe the Israelis are one of lost tribes of the Hindu's which is regarded as the world's oldest religion. This guys nuts. Buddhist do not believe in a creator god. Look at Tibetan Buddhist culture, so vibrant, alive, deep, the rituals, sand mandalas, dances, etc. They have more commonality with some of the indigenous tribes of what is now America.
Ya, I hear it. People like to believe whatever serves their hidden agendas. often those agendas are even hidden from themselves. Tibetan people, culture, language, history, script, etc, are distinct in and of themselves. I know the Chinese don't believe that but they've been indoctrinated with lies in their books and through relentless propaganda. No excuse, just the way it is.
So is your message against wolf saying he is nuts or is it saying the truth is that the tibetan people could be a lost tribe? Tibetan way of life is lost forever because of the chinese so i don't know what your talking about. You must of watched that stupid episode of penn and teller saying the dalai lama is a fraud
My message wasn't "against" anyone. I merely pointed out an observation. My next post was a simple response. Tibetan way of life is not necessarily lost forever. In this paradigm nothing is forever and the Chinese are in the mist of creating their own future chaos. They just are oblivious to that fact.
Chinese are an economic power why would tghey create chaos in a fragile region. The chinese will not suppress tibet again. Whta evidence do you have for the chinese planning a wart?
What do you mean again? They've never stopped. They don't need to have a war with Tibet, never did. The vast majority of Tibetans are non-violent although there is a growing impatience amongst the youth.
Stopped what? Are the chinese planning a war with the west? Even if they are becoming an economic power? Why would they want to fight us when they are set to take the world stage
Also... Fred Alan Wolf was NOT claiming that Tibetans were claiming a right to Israel... Fred was speaking about the similarities between Tibetan and Jewish culture.

KTK401 10 months ago
@KTK401 He's talking about the fact that all forms of Buddhism are completely atheist including all forms of Tibetan Buddhism, including what you are misinterpreting (ie. Buddhist Deities). There is nothing in Buddhism that equates to what other religions call "God," neither dharmakaya nor the sambhogakaya deity manifestations. It's not something that I can explain to you in a short YouTube comment, so go to any Buddhist forum website anywhere & state your claim. You'll be corrected everywhere.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 No form of Buddhism is Atheist (unless you count the "atheist buddhist" lefty movement of "American Buddhism" which is not Buddhism at all.
God in Buddhism is an impersonal power, omnipresent, & universal & is in & around all things. In essence, all reality is "God", so just because God in Buddhism is not a "personal" God or a "Creator" doesn't mean there is no God in Buddhism.
You should really stop wasting your time pretending to be a Buddhist if you want to be an atheist..
KTK401 4 months ago
Cont..
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Your comments have proven to the world that you have NO concept of the Buddhism whatsoever. You could probably catch up simply going to Wikipedia since they actually do have a nice easy page for you to read that explains the difference of these terms and concepts from both Buddhist and Vedanta perspectives, but of course you would not want to be proven wrong.
Dare I suggest you read a book? Maybe visit an authentic lineage-holding Buddhist teacher? Nah, why bother? You like Vedanta!
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 You are going mad, getting all worked up, getting yourself in a tizzy!
You are deluded, & so to you I don't "get buddhism". Truth is, I understand perfectly the REAL orthodox Buddhism.
You have deluded yourself into believing the "buddhistic atheism" is the real buddhism.
What are you blathering about now with the Vedanta? That is Vedic (Hindu) belief. Wikipedia as a source of information on Buddhism is WORTHLESS since it has been hijacked by you atheists! LOL
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Sorry, your tactic will not work.
End of story.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 i already explained to you that "God" in Buddhism is not a Creator (or even personal) but is still a universal spirit (God!) Buddhism is Panentheistic, and in essence Monism.
It is not the end of "story" but rather the beginning. if you want to be an atheist, go ahead & be an atheist.
But don't make a fool out of yourself by hijacking a religion & reinterpreting it as atheism.
Buddhism is NOT atheism.
Just accept that very basic fact & move on with your sad life.
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Google this, find the Dalai Lama's full answer and stop destroying the dharma:
"Q: You have said that according to Buddhist philosophy there is no Creator, no God of creation, and this may initially put off many people who believe in a divine principle. Can you explain the difference between the Vajrayana Primordial Buddha and a Creator God?
A: I understand the Primordial Buddha, also known as Buddha Samantabhadra, to be the ultimate reality, the realm of the Dharmakaya..."
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 What are you blathering about?
I said that three posts ago! LOL!
Buddhism is Panentheism.
Not Atheism.
KTK401 4 months ago
some of Sokei-An’s observations on Buddhist practice:
“Everyone thinks that Buddha is different from everyday human beings. Some Buddhists believe that Buddha has been living for a million years in the Western Sky. We [i.e. the practitioners of Rinzai Zen] have no relation to such a Buddha. We have nothing to do with the Buddha living in the Western Sky. Our own Buddha nature is Buddha. Of course, sentient beings are like orphans who never know their own home …
KTK401 4 months ago
....“Once in a long while, man realizes Buddha nature within himself.
Go be an atheist and live your sad life.
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 You very much want me to have a sad life. I find that very humorous. You clearly don't spend much time with others, at a sangha or otherwise.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@KTK401 Nope, it's not monism and it's not panentheistic. If it was, you would find that wherever you found descriptions of Buddhism, but you don't.
It's nondualism and it's not Vedantic nondualism. And you clearly don't understand it.
Go back to your incorrect Evans-Wentz translations and recede into the dark corner from whence you came.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Oh give it a rest. It is Panentheism and it is Monism. Just accept it and move on with your sad miserable atheistic life.
You atheists who call yourself "buddhists", you frauds, you always look for an excuse to claim that those who present the genuine Buddhism (Panentheistic/Monistic/Spiritual) don't "understand" buddhism....
Your buddhism is atheism & NOT Buddhism. It is stupid to pretend Buddhism is even close to atheism. It is the exact opposite it atheism
Live with it.

NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Because they are over your head! I don't have to make a "case" with you.
Buddhism is not atheism. Atheism is not compatible with Buddhism.
You are sad, paranoid and in my opinion a bit stupid.
No wonder you keep going around in circles!
KTK401 4 months ago
LOL! "incorrect Evans-Wentz translations"
Pathetic!
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 LOL @ "whoever Evans or Wentz were."
Gee, you really know yer stuff, dood! Don't even happen to know who translated the first version of the Tibetan Book of the Dead (incorrectly; the way you are describing Buddhism, btw).
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 It is you & and the new American lefty "atheistic buddhism" movement who have misinterpreted Buddhism to try & reinvent it (absurdly!) as "atheism"
Buddhism believes in rebirth/reincarnation, karma, heaven, hell, good & evil, the pursuit of "Holiness" & the promise of Nirvana (everlasting life in heaven) for those who attain purity & holiness. This is just some of Buddhism's basic teachings.
What in this equates to your atheism? LOL
Atheism is belief in nothing spiritual..
KTK401 4 months ago
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Sorry but I know plenty son. Don't get in a tizzy! Here we go again with the "I have been studying buddhism for X years" crap. Spare me your histrionic BS.
I have studied Buddhism since before you were born.
Everything I said stands...you had no answer for it.
If you want to be an atheist, be an atheist. But don't hijack a major world religion & reinterpret it to suit American leftist thinking.
Buddhism (especially Tibetan!) is not atheism. Live with it atheist!
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 You have not and you are a liar. Don't tell me to "not get in a tizzy" simply for replying to each of your 3 responses, fraud.
I answered every single invalid "point" you tried to make. Buddhism is atheist. Anyone who has ever gone to ANY introductory teaching would hear it right off the bat. The fact that you are trying to claim you've been studying before I was born (when I am 37 and you are 38) and you don't know simple basics makes it very clear you are lying loudmouth fraud.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Oh but I have you silly little boy! You are the only fraud here. But too bad you are also stupid!
Buddhism is not only not atheist...it is in fact ULTRA-theistic. Some other religions (as you brought up with your sad Dalai Lama quote!) are seen as dualist. Where Spirit & Physical are separate
In Buddhism all physical existence is also spiritual. "God" is the Ultimate Reality
You are just another sad bitter ranting lefty upset at the reality that Buddhism is not atheism! :)
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Sorry to tell you but the list of great Tibetan lamas who have written that Buddhism is atheist is too long to actually fit in a small YouTube comment. You are confusing the hell out of spiritual and theist. Spiritual is not theistic.
When the Pope called Buddhism atheist, the Dalai Lama was asked for comment and his response was "The Pope is correct."
Keep trying, though. You're doing a bang-up job of making an ass of yourself.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 You have either misunderstood these "great Tibetan lamas" are you are misinterpreting them to suit your own atheistic agenda.
The Pope meant "atheist" in the sense of having no Creator God. So yes he and the Dalai Lama were correct in that sense. The both misused the term "atheist".
You are making a complete ass of yourself and trying to deflect it!
BTW the Dalai Lama is not a central figure in Buddhism. There are only 6 million Tibetans! (out of 330m Buddhists!)
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Nope, I have not misunderstood anything. They usually say virtually the same choice of words. You must have never attended a Buddhist lecture in your life which means you have never received transmission or empowerment or any one-on-one teachings.
Like I said, keep trying. The other Buddhists who have shown up here all agreed with me, not you. There's a reason for that. Keep fightin'...
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 You misunderstand EVERYTHING if you think Buddhism is "atheism"
Stop wasting your time and go back to your sad delusions of UFOs and "conspiracy theories"
You are obviously paranoid.
The other so called Buddhists here are agreeing with you? :)
There IS a reason for that: they are all fake Buddhists like you! Atheists who call themselves Buddhists.
Empowerment? You are an atheist. Atheists believe in nothing.
Go back to your miserable sad life!
Buddhism is not atheism.
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Dude, everyone can see you believe in Jesus The Messiah and you don't understand Buddhism. It's quite easy to get mixed up when you read a lot of different religions and say, "they're really saying the same thing!" You're not the first and you won't be the last. If you decide to learn about Buddhism, though, it would be a good idea to begin a personal relationship with a respected lineage-holding teacher. Good luck!
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 What an idiot you are "dude". Did it ever occur to you that I may have many friends & relatives who are Buddhists & as an academic I may have studied comparative religion?
How stupid are you?
If you decide to learn about Buddhism, you might want to learn the real one: Asian Buddhism, that is the REAL Buddhism...which is not even close to atheism, in fact it is the exact opposite of it.
So you might stop pretending to be a Buddhist.
Buddhism is not atheism. Live with that
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Did it ever occur to you that I actually have many friends & relatives who are Buddhists & as an academic I may have studied comparative religion? Therefore, I actually don't say idiotic things like "whoever Evans or Wentz were"? Or that Buddhism is monism? Anyone who argues up and down about Buddhism being characterized as "atheist" doesn't have a fucking clue.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Anyone who argues up and down about Buddhism being characterized as "atheist" OBVIOUSLY doesn't have a fucking clue....
...which is why you are doing it!
Since you believe in no life after death "dude" why do you call yourself a "Buddhist"?
Why waste your own time or anyone else's time? Because you are devoid of any brains or any life of course.
Buddhism may be mysterious to some, strange to others, but one thing it is: Spirituality
One thing it is not: Atheism.
Get a job.

WHERE IS THE FORUM, LIAR? LET'S SEE THOSE POSTS!
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Hahahaha! Go find it.
I post under the same name. :)
Get a job, buy an English dictionary....

NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 I doubt that it would be of any use to an atheist.
Look, I'm well aware that there is a section of western society that thinks it's "cool" to enhance the image of their atheism, but adding a veneer of Buddhism to it. But the reality is, Buddhism is the diametric opposite of atheism, since in Buddhism all existence is an "ocean of soul" as the venerable Sokei An demonstrated.
Atheism is the belief in NOTHING spiritual. Perhaps you don't understand the term "theos"
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 It's not like Tibetans are the only respected Buddhist teachers, monks, gurus, lamas on record stating Buddhism is atheist spirituality. It's common in Theravadin discussions as well.
I mean, there you have it, a totally commonplace statement that you are completely oblivious about.
There's no "winning" this for you, no matter how many times you tell me to "give it a rest" and "go back to my sad life." Thank goodness you're posting anonymously, right?
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 There is no "winning" if arguing with an idiot like you. You are obviously a dropout with no real education if you can't understand the term theism actually means, the basic fact that atheism is to be devoid of "spirituality" and if you genuinely believe that it even makes sense to say that atheism and spirituality are compatible, let alone complementary like in your mad view of Buddhism!
I realize I have been arguing with a complete moron.

Since I am neither a jew nor do I imbibe intoxicating substances, you might as well go back to telling me what a bad jew I am while you condemn me for smoking pot and having no job (btw, I have a job).
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Hahahaha!!! What are you talking about now you nutter. Is it my fault you hit the bong too much? I could not possibly be a conservative southerner you fool! Not my fault they have also seen the truth is it....:)
There is nothing wrong with being Jew!
Nice to hear you have a job. Now go back to school....
best wishes.

Sokei-An writes:
“… you think that your soul is your own soul, different from my soul, and that God created each soul individually. We do not think so. We think all existence is soul, an ocean of soul, and we are the waves. This is the Buddhist’s basic concept of the universe.” (The Zen Eye, “The Universe is Another Name for Infinite Consciousness”, p. 31).

Atheists do not believe in "Soul" or "Spirit"
Buddhism is not Atheism, and Atheism is not Buddhism.
Accept it & go back to your sad "conspiracy theories" and your UFO madness.
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Buddhists do not believe in a "soul" for sure and the term "spiritual" is only for convenience. You do not understand dependent origination or emptiness very well at all.
You also place way too much importance on what I have favorited without any consideration to why it may be favorited. It's much better for you to assume the worst and try some ad hominem tactics. Unfortunately for you, I happen to favorite videos which I find completely stupid and want to save for sharing purposes.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Listen, I've heard all your "atheistic" interpretations of Buddhism before.
You have wrongly assumed that real Buddhism is the absurd watered down "it's all metaphor" garbage of "western" Buddhism.
This is of course not Buddhism at all. It is merely atheism, with a veneer or "buddhism".
it is as fake as you are.
The "Soul" in Buddhism is a stream of consciousness, the term "soul" being used for want of a better term....
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 pretty freaking odd since no Buddhist would ever use the term "soul" seeing as how that is one of THE defining differences between Buddhism and Vedanta... but, sure, whatever. You're batting a thousand, ain't ya?
How about that forum you just came in from, liar? You know, the one I've asked you for now 3 times already that you haven't posted the name of? The one where all your buddhist friends were laughing at me? Yes, let's see that forum, please. Thank you.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13
....In any case, the consciousness survives death and goes on to be reborn/reincarnated etc.
LOL
KTK401 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Oh so you are 37...LOL!
Too bad you never actually grew up. You still believe in "UFOs" and conspiracy theories?
Since you are obviously an atheist (and therefore not a genuine Buddhist) you never actually gleaned any spirituality from your supposed "15 years".
You are still as "unspiritual" as you were when you [claim] you started.
Not surprising of course since you are a an atheist and not a Buddhist!
Buddhism is spirituality, not atheism.
Live with that.
KTK401 4 months ago
Buddhist "forum websites" are not frequented by genuine Buddhists (basically meaning Asian Buddhists)
These websites are the reserve of the lefty american buddhists who reinterpret everything in the Pali Canon as well as the further Mahayana teachings (Lotus Sutra etc) as mere "concepts". Concepts of what exactly? Only a fool would think the spiritual teachings above would be "concepts" designed as metaphors for "atheism". Who cares?
Asian (ie, Real) Buddhists are Panentheists, not atheists.
KTK401 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 For example, in Mahayana Buddhism, specifically Shin & Pure Land Buddhism, Amitabha Buddha (Buddha of the infinite light) offers *salvation* (literally not "metaphorically) & eternal life in "Pure Land" (Heaven), to all those who entrust themselves to him. Literally man can be saved from Samsara and enter Nirvana by faith in Amitabha Buddha....and so on.
In Buddhism, the spiritual realm etc, are ontological realities, not "metaphors".
Buddhism is not atheism.
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Gee, someone has now given us several examples of Buddhism which he does not understand. Amitabha's Pure Land, Sukhavati, is not "heaven." He is not like a Jesus savior figure, either. And being reborn in Sukhavati does not make you automatically a Buddha.
The "spiritual realm," as you put it, is not separate from the material realm in Buddhism. Someone here (you) needs to learn about dependent origination and the three kayas.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Actually Sukhavati is "heaven". Only atheists like you want to reinterpret it to say it is a "metaphor" and so on. That is laughable. And very predictable!!
It doesn't surprise me of course since as I already pointed out, ontological truths in real Buddhism are presented by you atheists as "metaphors".
Too bad you wasted 15 years of your life "studying" something which goes against your own belief that there is nothing but the material world (atheism) !
KTK401 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Amitabha is actually a manifestation of the Dharmakaya.
The Dharmakaya expresses itself in the form of the cosmic Buddhas.
The Buddha/s expounded in Buddhist scriptures are all about spirituality not "metaphors" & "promoting atheism"
Only an absolute idiot would read the Pali Canon and Lotus Sutra (and other Sutras) & believe that these are not spiritual teachings.
Too bad you get knocked out by your own uppercut.....
Just give it up & admit you are an atheist.
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Please... just stop trying to poorly educate me about things I already know far better than you.
:-)
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 No one could possibly educate you, since you are obviously too dull and far too self absorbed (a dangerous and tragic combination!)
I already explained to you, but you are obviously too dense to realize, that "godless" in the sense of having no central Creator God does not equate with Atheism.
Buddhism is Panentheistic.
It is the exact opposite of Atheism.
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 "But we must be careful in speaking of this source, we must not be led into error. I do not mean chat there exists somewhere, there, a sort of collective clear light, analogous to the non-Buddhist concept of Brahma as a substratum. We must not be inclined to deify this luminous space."
Where your argument falls flat is where you apparently fail to realize the most: there are no beings and therefore there are no superior beings. Ultimately, the Buddha Nature of all "beings" is the same.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 You're an idiot.
LOL!
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 you certainly do have a lot of problems!

@NathanSnyder13 LOL. Not really.
I am enjoying life and I am happy since I have spirituality.
Unlike you sad atheists.
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Well, like your average religious zealot internutter, you project a lot of fantasies onto other people and condemn without bothering to stop and learn anything. Pardon me for not realizing those were the actions of a happy fellow.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 You are the one projecting fantasies. First of all, you follow fantasies: UFOs (LOL!) and "conspiracy theories"
No one has condemned you...you are PARANOID!
The fact is, you are an atheist with pretensions of being called a "Buddhist". There is no"Atheistic Buddhism" There is only "Buddhist flavoured" Atheism. And that is not Buddhism at all.
So stop wasting your own time & others by pretending that you are even close to the GENUINE (Asian) Buddhism.
It is not atheism.
KTK401 4 months ago

@KTK401 Which forum? Let's go see the posts.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Go there!
Then they will fall about laughing!!
You are paranoid and obviously crazy!
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401
1. I never scoffed at reincarnation or samsara, nirvana, spirituality
2. you assume way too much
3. you believe Jesus Christ is the messiah
4. you believe Buddhism is monism
5. you believe in a soul
6. you state repeatedly that Buddhism is not atheist while many, many Tibetan lamas are on record as having stated the exact opposite
7. you ignore #6 and attack my character without knowing anything about me (more assumptions)
8. you will not post the forum you supposedly came from = LIAR
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13
1. You don't get what Monism even means.
2. You don't understand much.
3. You are an atheist, and therefore CANNOT believe in the above doctrines.
4. Yes I DO believe in a Soul. So do Buddhists, but in a different way.
5. Yes I do believe Jesus Christ is the Christ....LOL :) (Nice one with the sollecism once again)
(Jesus is not God of course....)
6. You are a Jew and you reject your Creator. Shame on you!
7. So therefore you are obviously a hippie!!

@KTK401 where in the hell did you get the idea I was a jew? It is bizarre how you just imagine shit. I'm guessing you have mental issues. Having seen some of your other squabbles now, I'm bored of you and see this is absolutely pointless.

", many Tibetan lamas are on record "
Many Tibetan Lamas are obviously misunderstanding the meaning of the English term "theism"
Theism is belief in SPIRIT or anything Divine (divine does not only mean "a god") Not just a "deity" or "personal God"
In Buddhism (as you already pointed yourself, bizarrely!) God is essentially all existence. The physical world is merely an emanation of the spiritual world.
Buddhism is Panentheistic. If you don't understand this go back to school.
Shalom.
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 Right. Especially the ones who got an Oxford education. You have absolutely no familiarity with Tibetan lamas if you think they wouldn't have learned all about "theism" before commenting on it publicly. Wow.
NathanSnyder13 4 months ago
@NathanSnyder13 Look, there are a lot of people in religions who water them down. There are Jews and Christians who water down their teachings & call them "concepts", there are Hindus that do the same.
Either these "lamas" didn't truly understand the context the term was used in, or the were of the watered down school of thought.
Buddhism is not Atheism. Buddhism believe in spirit, life after death & a spiritual realm.
Just accept it & go back to your atheist worldview.
KTK401 4 months ago
@KTK401 the only one who is watering down the dharma is you. The only one who was a western (and New Agey) understanding of the dharma is you.

BUT, Buddhism is not Atheism.
That is a very basic fact.

LOL!

Not that made any sense in reply to my comment, but i'm not hating. I thought someone who was using a bible as proof was silly. There's no hate there? It's an observation. Your initial comment seemed to be the one hating on a man giving his opinion.
TristanDesnos 2 years ago
Spectrumusik 2 years ago
No, i don't. No, don't - but i'm not at all surprised. Yes i did - but so what, i'm not getting a washed version because i don't read it, haven't and never will, any sooner than i'd read Harry Potter. Why not indeed? I've got no problem with you questioning his theory? The problem is using the bible as evidence or fact in the first place. Try to get your head round this concept it's got a whole bunch of wisdom in there, but maybe it's not true huh? Maybe? Can you do that?
TristanDesnos 2 years ago
Well he is saying that those people are part of a lost tribe of Israel. So if you say Israel then you have to jump into their culture and history.
The Bible tells you which people are.

Kaifeng jews are the lost tribe.

They have more commonality with some of the indigenous tribes of what is now America.
iamlumin 3 years ago
Hear the "COULD" he does not believe it fully. It is just a theory
Reido2828 3 years ago
Ya, I hear it. People like to believe whatever serves their hidden agendas. often those agendas are even hidden from themselves. Tibetan people, culture, language, history, script, etc, are distinct in and of themselves. I know the Chinese don't believe that but they've been indoctrinated with lies in their books and through relentless propaganda. No excuse, just the way it is.
iamlumin 3 years ago
So is your message against wolf saying he is nuts or is it saying the truth is that the tibetan people could be a lost tribe? Tibetan way of life is lost forever because of the chinese so i don't know what your talking about. You must of watched that stupid episode of penn and teller saying the dalai lama is a fraud
Reido2828 3 years ago
My message wasn't "against" anyone. I merely pointed out an observation. My next post was a simple response. Tibetan way of life is not necessarily lost forever. In this paradigm nothing is forever and the Chinese are in the mist of creating their own future chaos. They just are oblivious to that fact.
iamlumin 3 years ago
Chinese are an economic power why would tghey create chaos in a fragile region. The chinese will not suppress tibet again. Whta evidence do you have for the chinese planning a wart?
Reido2828 3 years ago
What do you mean again? They've never stopped. They don't need to have a war with Tibet, never did. The vast majority of Tibetans are non-violent although there is a growing impatience amongst the youth.

Stopped what? Are the chinese planning a war with the west? Even if they are becoming an economic power? Why would they want to fight us when they are set to take the world stage
