i drive a manual in chicago land area. unless your left leg is a twig or the clutch is terribly heavy, theres no drawbacks to driving a manual. i drive big rigs as well which are also manual. you just gotta know how to pace yourself and keep momentum smooth
I read somewhere else it was more like 6.5sec... but it's still really fast! I have a 1999 2.0 turbo and i love peoples' faces when that grandpa looking car pulls aways!
@kimc53 Gear ratio spacing could make is a bit sluggish compared to the Intelauto. The 6spd gearbox in the STI is waaaaaay superior and usually gets swapped when you but the bigger STI turbo in it. Cheers!
@kimc53 Because nobody in the USA wants a manual tranny. It's a pain in the ass! Most of the driving here in the Northeast is city and highway driving and nobody wants to be stuck in traffic with a manual transmission!
Wtf why doesnt that car have the Enkei rims that come "stock" on the xt models? musta bin a special journo model with cheaper tyres cos they know they thrash tits off the cars. o well, nice car but hopeless reviewer.
This guy is a terrible reviewer. He only drives it for 5 miles.

The reason ppl in USA does not want manual is because they can’t drive with a manual and they then say it is for comfort
Why buy a high performance car then cripple it with a automatic
Venefiga 5 months ago
@Venefiga if you've never been to America don't talk smack. We have freedom of choice. .
ncethngs 2 months ago
@ncethngs a larger percentage of American's can't drive manual gearbox cars than your average European
I'm not saying you can't but allot of the people in your country only buys auto and have only learned how to drive using a Automatic
I read somewhere that 84% of all the cars sold in north America is automatic
so yes your right you have freedom of choice and it is your right to buy the automatic if you want to
Me I bought a manual one

Why would anybody want a 4speed auto instead of a manual? Sounds like somebody can't drive

0-60 in under 6 seconds, don't think so. I own a 06 XT with cobb tuning up/down pipe, pulley and intake, and only then did it hit 5.91.

@mrmanitoba Maybe you cannot shift fast enough

@44Italia44 Actually you're burned on that one as I now have a youtube vid @ 5.4 0-60. Looks like I can shift fast enough.

The japan 2,0 turbo has 220-250 hp (depends on year/model), the only 2,5 is STi and has 265 hp.

different engines for different markets.
In australia we get a 2.5L turbo on this car.
patfromozZ 2 years ago
Yes, but JDM always more powerful.
The new impreza WRX STi is 2,0 308 hp 44kg*m, more powerful than european/usa 2,5 sti

You fucking spongoloid - Jap HP is measured differently to Euro/US bhp.
sCUNThorPENIS 1 year ago
@sCUNThorPENIS
Are you mad? The difference between HP, BHP and PS is less than 1% now.
Maybe japans measure time in different way, huh?
2.0 turbo 177 hp euro 8.0 secs to 60 mph,
2.0 turbo 240 hp JDM 6.0 secs to 60 mph.
Maybe they have LONGER seconds, huh?
p.s. you gay. Sorry.
