  • thanks for sharing if it were not for you then i would not be able to listen to her i was watching the phil ochs there but for fortune and her name came up so i thought i would give a listen much thanks

  • Yeah, I have the CD and I'm listening to it-- this is definitely higher.

  • Sure sounds a lot like Carolyn Hester, to me. And she used to record with Dylan, way, way back in the day.

  • 探してました。動画ありがとう。(o・ω´・o)b

  • the speed of the track is too fast. She's singing in a higher pitch than the album was recorded

  • Not sped up - sorry folks. It's on her Album "Judy Henske". Giggles and all.

  • sounds good despite, if you puritan dicks keep saying this isnt the actual version, for fuck's sake, please post it.

  • Wow! This has an immense power to it! Well done. Very good interpretation!

I never heard this version before. Quite different from mine.

    Bravisimo!!!!

  • Judy Henske did record this song. But this isn't it.

  • @AdamHeilbrun I think it is her version but like the other commenter said, it's been sped up and turned her into a soprano.

  • Dylan does a version of this song , it's great

  • Really a big surprise for me who know quite every thing on her recordings...

  • I like all song of Judy Henske! And her Style of music!

  • Yeah, this really needs to be re-posted. Best murder ballad EVER and it wasn't sung by a 12-year-old, as it sounds here.

  • your record player was set to a higher speed then the song was recorded at. her voice is about an octave lower.
