  • I like how your right hand flows liquidly and fluidly through the 32nd notes.

  • @FromTheGang I Hope you wised up about going MIDI on a great organ like this. The whole digital Hauptwerk and Miditzer is a joke in comparison to maintaining the electronics on the relatively simple analog organs. Nothing digital can have the ongoing varied tonal warmth that Conn individual oscillators have. Break down the sound in it's smallest forms of tone and timbre & see w/ digital you get one thing, the same thing every time. With analog you get interactive components. Fix the EZ boo boos!

  • You can have me.

  • Most importantly, does the pedals sound good?

  • I need your opinion on this organ! i am replacing my conn 645 with a classical suiting organ, and right now i can buy a conn 720. How well is it for playing bach? And which manual is the stronger manual?Does it sound anything like a pipe organ? i cant judge from the video.Thx

  • @PhantomOrganist1 Hi! I have a Conn Artists 720 model myself. I play Bach on it all the time. I do want to emphasize: it is 50's technology, and as such, is prone to overly complicated failure that is difficult to repair. For example, electrolytic capacitor failure, tube failure, and general breakdown.

Which manual has more sounds? I won't tell you since an organist shouldn't get used to the idea that any manual is louder. Feel free to ask me more questions if you want.

  • When the music first comes on, the camera shakes. It reminds me of the Broadway version. The whole theater shook

  • Marry me?

  • @RainbowCupcakes08 But my tux is in the laundry D:

  • nice man!

  • hello i would like to know if you had this in sheet music if you did would i be able to get it

    thanx

  • Oh, this is precarious...

  • sehr gut gespielt weiter so taurebe

  • If you said some tubes went bad, some capacitors probably did too. That's the thing with these old analog organs;they sound like the voice of God(the good ones)when they work, but you have one component fail, and shit hits the fan. Hope you get it fixed, it's a really cool organ!

  • Hi there, I see that you posted a link to the sheet music but I can't find it. I am arranging this and having trouble working out the orchestral harmonies in the second half, but I like what you have done. Could you please send me the sheet music if you still have it?

  • still great playing, great style, and you have fun,,,,you're sexie too lol

  • I'm keep watching this about 5times a day. :)

  • My son likes playing pianos and phantom of the opera that he wants one SO BAD!

  • if i personally knew you.... i would give you money to fix the organ. but only if you let my lay on the floor by you and listen to you play.

  • I sense a bit of sustain. Just not favorable in my opinion for an organ.

  • Dude. This made my freakin day! Awesome work!

  • dayum... nuff said

  • You look like your just gliding over the key bored!!! Amazing.

  • I get chills every time I listen to this! This piece was MADE for the pipe organ. Major respect to you for learning how to play it!

  • WOW DUDE... it's like u barely touch the keys... how do u do that?

  • You are my new hero!!!! SO I downloaded the music but I was wondering what kind of things you modified to suit it to the organ? Thanks so much!!!

  • Wonderful!

The tubes on the organ I will be getting happen to be good for now, but it is a dusty mess! I hope mine will be just as good as yours.

  • ...and now my pants are soiled

  • What is this? Did I just watch some sort of superhuman play a musical instrument?

  • Hottest thing I've ever seen. Mmph.

  • You sir, are a BAMF! That was awesome!

  • where can i get the sheetmusic of that?

  • this was awesome!!!

  • Bravo!

  • CRUCIAL SHIT

  • you play beautifully. your fingers just flowed over the keys.

  • .........I'd like to learn how to play this song, if I could find the sheet music.

  • @SphinxFriend /watch?v=dWsovuyv0jY

This is where I got the sheet music from.

I only modified it a little bit so it would suit the organ.

  • @SphinxFriend I have the score to the show if you'd like the music for this part of it.

  • Btw, I have a Conn 427M Caprice that I'm working on restoring.

  • Don't give up on it just yet! It might not be all the tubes—in fact, it sounds like a capacitor problem. Capacitors are simple to install if you know a little bit about soldiering. They're also considerably cheaper at $1-$5 apiece.

  • Very nice sound. May I ask where you acquired the sheet music? I have been looking everywhere and cannot seem to find it. Thanks and keep it up.

  • EPIC! This sounds so amazing! It's too bad about your organ though. :\

  • so I only have had a keyboard and I can play this song (not as cool as you) and I have never even seen an organ. How many pedals do that freakin have?!?! you are playing the whole "In sleep he sang to me.." part with pedals...

  • not bad!

  • Sounds very nice :)

  • Comment removed

  • This is awesome...i'm playing this on the flute:D hopefully it will be passable

  • You did a great job. To bad the movie is complete garbage compared to the stage show :(

  • Sheet music?

I can't find any with the extra parts added on to it. like what you did on the second manual.

    I really would appreciate it

  • Beautiful. You play the organ in your socks? My teacher had a fit when she caught me doing it. Said had to feel the pedals through my shoes. Then I got a teacher who played in engineer boots.

  • @cornermoose You don't want to mess with an organist who wears engineer boots.

  • @cornermoose Hey you are right the only shoes you supposed to touch the pedals with is with LEATHER shoes (NOTHING ELSE) i can you use socks, and if you need a feel threw the shoes use the socks (Nothing is wrong with it) when the organ came out the only kinds of shoes you can buy was Leather it was no problem but since we have Rubber shoes plastic and more shoes it leaves skid marks on the pedals and can cause a chemical reaction to the petals

  • @cornermoose LOL, I play organ at church when I want to, The organist told me to use shoes as I played, I pointed out that you can play in shoes if you are a size 8 like he is however when you are a size 15 it is somewhat different.

To be honest as long as you hit the note it does not matter.

  • Your beast!!!!!!!!

    Enough said

  • wow i like your olaying your hands are gliding and your fingers are so light

  • AMAZING JOB! :) Do you have the sheet music to this?

  • CRAP! That's so incredibly hard to play...

    Great job!

  • I hope you fixed that 720. This organ has many years left in its life. This is one of Conn's best. I play at my Church on one that model. I also repair organs. I have 5 customers with the same model. For a 50 year old organ it has a very good ensemble sound. The most common problems with this organ is the pedals going out of tune, which they are in this recording. Beautiful finger works...my fingers are slowing down as i grow older.

  • wonderful! very skilled playing. your hands move so beautifully in this. and great job with the pedals. those are always a bitch. at least for me.

  • Dieses Lied noch gibt mir eine Gänsehaut. Das ist, warum ich spielen Sie auf Halloween, wenn Menschen mein Eigentum eingeben.

  • omfg thats so nice dude respect

  • BEAUTIFUL. I love this arangement, the sound of the organ (well, not amazing, but not synth)

    BRAVO

  • EPIC! And I agree, this was a bit percarious. :D

  • Excellent! Congratulations. Your organ is my Conn's great grandfather haha!! Have fun with it. And I hope you end up doing the repairs necessary to it. These really do sound amazing when they're all working.

  • All those glissandos with the right hand are absolutely incredible. Excellent work. You made a few mistakes, but who cares? You're excellent and you should feel good :>

  • Wow! That was incredible! Fantastic arpeggiated chords! The conn sounds brilliant for being from the 60s! :)

  • I say... this is by far the best recording of this piece on Youtube, and probably the best sounding. It's amazing to watch your fingers glide effortlessly along the keys at the beginning. You play beautifully, and on a beautiful instrument. Shame it broke. :(

  • I thought you said " this is percarious" lolz

  • @MrK2345 I did. If you saw how I positioned the camera like that, you'd say the same thing.

  • @FromTheGang ooh. Lolz

  • @FromTheGang lol you should've taken a video of the camera. Love the way this is played btw.

  • hats off to you...great job! i would have to say that this one of the best phantom ovetures on youtube.

  • This is seriously amazing. Andrew Lloyd Webber would be proud to hear this!

  • I honestly thought this was going to be a video of some dip shit fucking around...after watching, i must appologize for even thinking that. if you can play it that well while its broke, then i would love to hear it at 100% Good luck on your repairs.

  • @gunny552 I'm pretty sure he recorded this before the organ broke. Stunning performance, nonetheless!

  • dude, you're a magnificent musician. that is all, oh yeah also some chrono trigger themes would sound sweet on that pipe organ.

  • Vacuum tubes. That is one old machine. Maybe you can find the tubes on E-bay.

  • If the tubes are the only problem, then you should just stick with replacing those and not something more drastic.

  • buenissimo

  • standing ovation

  • Hope the repair goes well...I've missed these vids!!

  • You right hand is like magic, how on Earth you even know what you are doing is amazing. So hypnotic. Love your stuff, keep it up. Also more video game music on the accordion please!

  • Waaah! It broke? That's terrible, does a repair seem likely?

  • In case you guys don't read the description, the organ broke.

That's why there aren't many videos of it.

I'm in the process of trying to fix it.

  • @FromTheGang youtube users not reading a description?! what has happened to the world!!

sad that you have to reminds people to read it I mean come on guys...

anyways nice play and hope you can fix the organ soon =)

  • Good luck for the repair !

  • so you've not been making vdieos of you playing the organ because you're too busy having fun with the organ? film you having fun so we can have fun too :I

glad i have awesome speakers, i could hear the bass pedals. i think this is my new theme song.

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana try reading the full discription

  • einfach nur geil!!!

    awesome!!!

  • I love your new pipeorgan and your playing of this piece! I played at a chuch here in Gothenburg today! It was so cool! You can see a pic of the organ at my blog.
