@bltsdsubbie Miku is an instrument, and instruments DO give an emotion based off of timbre, harmony, melody, etc. You can say that the piano in this song is a major emotional factor, and that isn't human. So why can't you say that vocaloids have the same potential as a real voice? I wasn't talking about Miku as a person, I was talking about Miku as in the instrument.

And thus she has won the best version of this song so far. I was searching desperately for a chorus of this (especially one from Nico Douga but...theirs weren't too grand. And the 20 person one I found on here is sort of too many people for this soft song, no room for individuals to shine and show their voices). But this is excellent! It's so!ft and beautiful and as one, very experienced singer, it comes together beautifully without there being a bad singer in the group like a chorus may have.

However, I think one of the points of the Vocaloid2 program is to give the people who maybe can't sing the ability to record songs they've composed without having to hire someone every time. That, in turn, gives other singers (like Ritsuka) who might not be able to compose their own songs something amazing to sing.

It doesn't hurt that a lot of vocaloid songs happen to sound really good with the vocaloids singing, though. But this isn't really one of them, I agree.

@Hontaish Really? I thought the emotionless in her voice really fit with the sadness of the song, not sure how to explain it, but she sounds.... peaceful. Also, paired up with that one MV where her best friend leaves her to go with someone else, her voice really got to me.
