I have a feeling many of these comments are from people who are not exactly opera experts. This performance is a joke. Bocelli should not be singing next to Gheorgiu, or Puccini period.The microphone is not able all to take on all of the formants Gheorgiu sings, so instead the mic gives feedback. This is why opera singers don't sing with microphones. Those of you who think this was brilliant, are probably just swept away with Puccini's composition, not the actually performance.

Honestly, if you know this music, this is not a great performance. Several times they get off from the orchestra, and Bocelli doesn't pull his weight. Not to say this is bad, but you could tell it was put together really quickly

Very nice to see Sherrill Milnes again. His voice is a long way from what it was, unfortunately, but even so, nice to see him there to pay tribute to his old pal Luciano.

Have always loved this Puccini Quartet but this rendition with these fine voices really is moving. Of course for me, Bocelli is always marvellous but this is the first time I have heard him with Gheorghiu and their voices blend so nicely together.
