  • this pike was netted far too soon hence the lashing about in the net possibly cvausing some damage, as for the unhooking with no matt pair of numptys

  • nice fish, almost as big as the guy who caught it

  • Why is everyone complaining about hurting the fish by using the gills. Get the fuck over it

  • "i dont wanna hurt this fish"so why weight it from the gill

  • is that really a pike?

  • Bad release, why even weight the fish? Catch it , get a photo, get it back int he water in seconds without the vertical weighing.

  • thats not a pike.... its a musky... good fish though

  • @fallenromeo5 sorry, thats as pikey as pike get. north Idaho all pike all the time

  • @bobbiedan1969 o ya i see the spots now oops

  • @fallenromeo5 That's what I thought too, but if you watch close it is a pike...

  • @bobtodd23 yeah the green, and red fins made me call it a pike to, judging by the water, which is crystal clear, she be a pike

  • he didnt grab it by the eyes..he held rite behind them

  • Cracking fish !! Well done !!

  • Nice video, nice pike

  • WTF?? pikes in sweden doesnt look lika that! :S

  • nice video...good catch

  • Weighing big fish, like pike, muskie, and lakers, by hanging them in a vertical fashion to weight them as you did is very hard on their internal organs. Since they live life in a constant horizontal state underwater this is an unnatural position for them to be in, especially out of the water where no bouency exists. Many guys do this, but you're hurting them even though they appear to swim off fine. The way to weigh them is by using a cradle instead of a net and weigh the fish with the cradle.

  • lots of people do not understand that concept i bet you have caught many nice fish.

  • jlonnon is right. You say you don't want to hurt the fish and I do believe you. But PLEASE use a weigh sling for the sake of the fish. Well done on a great capture but an unhooking mat and sling would ensure the fish has minimal harm.

  • And watch the eyes as well. They dont have any eye lids so they are very easily damaged. Nice post mate

  • @jlonnon generally you can guess the weight close enough but i find with muskie pike ect... that its more the inches on the fish that counts catching a fat one is just a bonus !

    good post !

  • @jlonnon it was ten seconds dude...take a chill pill

  • i wish i had a save boat so i could turture a fish

  • Hey Glensen62 go fuck yourself

  • Oh a idiots answer thank you idiot, but sorry i dont need to do what you do with yourself

  • nice fish, but y fake the strike in the beggining?
