Cotto barely even took punches in that fight from Margo. from round 1 till round7, it was Cotto all the way, smacking him around. then rounnd10 comes in and all of a sudden Cotto looks like those Street Fighter pictures from the old days when you'd lose a fight at the continue screen. that kind of a damage in ONE or TWO round is impossible. before round9, Cotto didn't have a single cut on his face.

the difference between the pac fight and the margarito fight is that pac beat on him for 11 rounds (did'nt really destroy his face in the first) and the overall damage built up to make him look like he got raped with bricks

however in the marg fight cotto was doing great until about round 6 when he started swelling and getting cut suddenly and ten all of a sudden he's getting destroyed

this is a sad reality about the margarito fight, attempted murder sounds serious but the reality is, its an illegal advantage in a sport which is rendered to hurt and cause injury to your opponent and with all the rules and regulations, safety precautions with the sport it doesnt sound too far off.

U think that not one person in the whole arena/ring would see that his wraps had plaster on them? cotto got beat up badly because he didnt have enough stamina while his punches did nothing to margarito. margarito obviously took it at his advantage and dismantled him.

I think using the plaster helped Antonio psychologically throughout the fight. Antonio was getting rocked all night by Cotto. But he knew that if he gutted it out, the plaster in his gloves would ultimately take its affect on Miguel in the latter rounds. I think Cotto knowing this now should feel better about the fight. That a man had to cheat in order to beat him
