The RROD sucks and I have experienced it yet my current 360 is performing just fine, runs cooler and quieter for extended periods of time, of course its a Jasper motherboard and my old one was a Zephyr, big difference.
Hey what can I say, the bottom line for me is I like XBL and its arcade titles and indie games, I like the 360 games I can't play on a PS3 when I get one, so I'm kinda stuck with the 360 RROD or not.

Thats your own damn fault, I've had the wired headset for over 6 mo. now, still works fine. Actually I prefer the wired, wireless is better for PS3 because the console has bluetooth built in, 360 doesn't.
Its not that 360 cant handle bluetooth, it just doesnt have wireless built-in. MAG is old news , didn't you see it demoed at E3?!? It doesn't look very good and the 256 players are split up into squads. More players doesn't necessarily = better.
really, all they advertise is games, which everyone wants to know about anyways, and it's not like you can't just ignore them and go play the game you want. In fact, you can even turn on your xbox, play the game you want and turn it off, without ever going trough the main menu, thus avoiding the so dangerous and scary ads.

Most of the games I have played on XBL are smooth as butter, and I have a stellar connection... there is lag when the action gets chaotic in GTA IV with 16 people all in the same area driving, firing rockets, explosions, gunfire, death, and destruction but thats to be expected and in no way a game-ruining experience.

Yeah I am enjoying my 360, and as of yet PS3 doesnt have anything I want to play yet or at least any game that appeals to me. Perhaps when Infamous is released.
BTW I love APple, on a mac right now, but I also love the 360 at the moment. Not really the console itself but I like the games that are on it that you cant get on PS3 mainly RPG's and RTS games.

Well, for starters, its all preference. Games like RTS's and RPG's are my favorite along with sandbox games.
Supreme Commander I am currently enjoying, Fable II, Mass Effect (the reason I got a 360), Crackdown, LOTR:Battle for Middlearth II, Culdcept Saga, Lost Oddysee, its not that the 360 has games that the PS3 cannot touch, they just arent available on PS3.
I couldn't just discard my 360 for a PS3. I do plan on getting a PS3 this year once Infamous releases.
I do not purchase a system just for the system itself, I usually buy a system because it has a game I really want to play. My game choice justifies a purchase of a particular console, nothing else.
It all depends on what fuels your gaming needs. A great game to one person may not be that great to another. Alot of people like Halo 3, I'm not really into it myself, sure I played thru 1 and 2 but once 3 came about, I was sick of it, I rented it, played it for a couple hours and forgot about it.
I agree with eveything this guy said. With 360, comes great games, great online, and one faulty ass system that overheats and damages your discs. My 3 main online games, COD4 H3, and GOW1 are all broken thanks to the 360's faulty design. Sure microsoft is improving their systems but what about the 80% of us who purchases 05/06 360's? We still got to worry about so many issues. Whereas the PS3, the disc are nearly indestructible, and it is 10x more compatible.

People just take the risks the 360 has in order for great titles. I might consider buying a Jasper model later when I get a job but for now I have a borrowed 360 since mines is still broken. Xbox 360 rocks. The Wii rocks. I don't know if you know this but last month the Wii sold 3.25 million units, 360 sold 1.35 million units, and the PS3 sold 750,000 units and overall the PS3 is in 3rd. Lets face it these consoles' main purpose is gaming! Games are what power a console to stardom, the PS3 is in dead last in this respect.
PSN was down for about a month, pretty glad I own a 360.

You seem to always bring up the Price of the xbox live but here is what you dont say. 1.The xbox has strong dedicated servers with little to no lag as where the PS3 has weak servers that crash and lag. 2.The xbox has ALOT more online features wich enhance your experience. and 3.THE PS3 DOES COST! check the small print they charge it to your internet bill...check it :P

Before reading I own both and played both.
1) When I'm on resistance/killzone which is 64/32players online I don't experiance lag and yes the xbox doesn't lag but the max players I've seen 20.
2)It has private chat voice chat and msn. Ps3 has a chat which is usless but it can get on te internet so msn is availble.
3) It doesn't cost.

Other than that it looks to be great.
Most of the games I have played on XBL are smooth as butter, and I have a stellar connection... there is lag when the action gets chaotic in GTA IV with 16 people all in the same area driving, firing rockets, explosions, gunfire, death, and destruction but thats to be expected and in no way a game-ruining experience.

(CON'T) The PS3 doesn't overheat, it has 4 memory slots, built in Wi-Fi, wireless controllers WITH pre packaged USB cords, and an HD movie player. Poeple are not ready for all that technology since it's only 2009 and the HD era of gaming is still in it's baby steps. Give the PS3 2 more years when the 360 is outdated and it's time for a XBOX 720, you'll expect a return of the PS3. Thats my opinion.

Well, for starters, its all preference. Games like RTS's and RPG's are my favorite along with sandbox games.
Supreme Commander I am currently enjoying, Fable II, Mass Effect (the reason I got a 360), Crackdown, LOTR:Battle for Middlearth II, Culdcept Saga, Lost Oddysee, its not that the 360 has games that the PS3 cannot touch, they just arent available on PS3.
I couldn't just discard my 360 for a PS3. I do plan on getting a PS3 this year once Infamous releases.

I do not purchase a system just for the system itself, I usually buy a system because it has a game I really want to play. My game choice justifies a purchase of a particular console, nothing else.
It all depends on what fuels your gaming needs. A great game to one person may not be that great to another. Alot of people like Halo 3, I'm not really into it myself, sure I played thru 1 and 2 but once 3 came about, I was sick of it, I rented it, played it for a couple hours and forgot about it.

I agree with eveything this guy said. With 360, comes great games, great online, and one faulty ass system that overheats and damages your discs. My 3 main online games, COD4 H3, and GOW1 are all broken thanks to the 360's faulty design. Sure microsoft is improving their systems but what about the 80% of us who purchases 05/06 360's? We still got to worry about so many issues. Whereas the PS3, the disc are nearly indestructible, and it is 10x more compatible.

People just take the risks the 360 has in order for great titles. I might consider buying a Jasper model later when I get a job but for now I have a borrowed 360 since mines is still broken. Once thing I'm upset with at Sony is that they sat back and let Microsoft and Nintendo USE THEIR OWN BUSS STRATEGY against them. look at the PS2 it was cheap for devs and had a game for everyone..but Sony decided to sleep on the competition. Xbox freezes, Windows freezes. 33% Xbox 360 failure rate, Windows has over 114,000 viruses out there in cyber space. 85% of consumers own a Windows based PC, similar amount own an Xbox 360, both fail on epic levels. ps3 rocks everboby knows that the ps3 is going to be the future 4 one its power makes it like a pc. it can go online it's free to play home so anyone who is 4 the xbox360 or the wii is going to lose out becames the ps3 will kick it's ass

Xbox 360 rocks. The Wii rocks. I don't know if you know this but last month the Wii sold 3.25 million units, 360 sold 1.35 million units, and the PS3 sold 750,000 units and overall the PS3 is in 3rd. Lets face it these consoles' main purpose is gaming! Games are what power a console to stardom, the PS3 is in dead last in this respect.
