  • Dear Manjula Aunty ji, Namaste. I was wondering if we can use frozen spinach instead of fresh spinach. Please let me know. Thank you for your simple, easy and tasty recipes.

  • @AtmaSangeet

    yes you can

  • What is the second last ingredient, the one before the oil for frying? A pinch of what? Someone please help. I can't catch it and it's bothering me :)

  • @equitably i

Asafoetida (Hing) is an Indian spice with a unique and pungent flavour.

I think it is what the "pinch of"

  • @musclelimit Pinch of "ASAFOETIDA POWDER"

  • isn't "spinach too less in paratha? or it should me less amount?

  • this is very interesting and i'm gonna try it.

At the moment the way i make mine is add the spinach at the first stage of making roti dough, so actually mixing the atta and spinach together, i also add ginger and garlic too.

  • Thank you so much! This is fantastic. I was looking all over for a simple spinach paratha recipe. And now I've found it. Can't wait to make this!

  • thanks mam i was just going to make them n ur video makes it more simpler..

  • mmmmm these look so good, i'll have to make this

  • Dear Manjula Ben, Thank you so much for your demo. Can I use the same method for making Methi Paratta?

  • @Manjulaskitchen

    Hi Manjula,

Thanks for your uploads. I am very greatful and am trying quite a few recipes of yours. I am not quite sure about the flour. Is wholemeal flour the same as wholeweat flour. It just is that in the shops I have looked they don't sell wholeweat flour. Can I use chapati flour or wholemeal flour?

  • @kahlschlag17

    use chapati flour

  • how do your parathas puff up so nicely? Please help me as mine doesn't come so nicely...what is the trick? Is there a particular brand of atta thar I should buy?

  • some practice.

  • hello manjula, these parathas look great and I want to trty them today. I just have one question....when I make any parathas...they don't puff up as thry do for you...why is that so?Can I ask which brand atta do you use? I bought Swad atta last time from Indian stores..but could you please give me a solution for my parathas not puffing up like yours do?Thanks a lot.

  • I find aashirwad atta to be very good. please try it. it also depends on how well you have knead the dough.

  • Why this video is not working?????????

  • VICTORY!! i just made my first paratha, and it was DAMN good!

  • Dear Manjula your instructions were great I made this dish and they were delicious...one of my favorites it is now part of my regular diet...thank you so much...all of you recipes are AWESOME....God Bless you and your family....:-)

  • Hello,Manjula :-) Paratha (or paraha?)seems easy to cook,as well as Rati,that I made yesterday,and I like to use spinach:-)Thank you VERY MUCH !

  • check my website for recipe and detailed method.

  • hi manjula aunty, thankx for ur recepies they r to good.i will be gratful if u can show also hw to mke TEPLAS (parathas with methi)

  • Spinach Added to the flour without cooking would enhance the nutrition....

  • i think your missing the point. its also meant to be delicious not just nutritional.

  • Or you could blanch the spinach (have some boiling water, immerse the spinach in the water for up to five seconds, then remove. And then you can use your spinach water to prepare the paratha dough. :) I haven't tried it yet, but I think I'll do just that :)

  • hello aunty i tried ur recipes ..they came really well.....thanks u so much

  • U have made it so easy , thanks

  • Dear Aunty Manjula, The way you go step by step and demonstrate makes it so easy for us to follow. Thank you!

  • do you have to use asafetida

  • you dont have to use asafetida.

  • Hello Manjula! Love your recipes. Would you recommend adding either parmesan cheese, or Grated Swiss Cheese on top?

  • I will preffer parmesan cheese or chedder cheese

  • hi madam manjula, i'm from the philippines and i really like pratha, but just it is hard to find some of the ingredients, can u help me find some alternative ingredients so i can make some pratha for my friends... thank... i enjoy watching you clips....

  • mm actually the tastiest spinach paratha ive ever had is quiet simple..you cook spinach with some spices ( red chilli or green) add salt and its best to cook it with chunks of potatoes..then you mash the potatoes and spinach..and make paratha with it

sooooo amazing! I like it more than any food in the world.

  • i like ur recipes though i have not tried them all but i can feel b,cause of the ingredients .. plus ur videos .are very clear and good quality. only sometimes ur pronunciations are a bit confusing. but still i enjoy watching them.

  • Hello Manjula...can it be made with butter instead of oil?

  • yes you can use butter or ghee

  • Dear Aunty, Thanks for posting wonderful recipes. Here are my questions and request

    1) Why must spread oil? If I choose not to spread oil, will it taste good?.

    2) Can u please post how to make "Rava Dosa".

    Thanks.

    Thanks for ur wonderful recipes.

  • if you want to make without oil that will be ok

  • Hi Aunty, thanks for your swift reply. Good Luck.

  • Greeting! I notice that when you mix by hand, you never have dough on your fingers. HOw do you accomplish that? Do you start off with your hands oiled?

PS: I made your naan recipe and it didn't fluff up all the way like yours, it was more like flatbread, but it was so good, thank you so much for your time.

  • when i make rotis i don't oil my hands...just make a well and add water little by little...don't put all of the water in at once. Once you have combined the water and flour keep adding more water till you get the right consistency then when you are almost done put some oil on the dough and knead again, any flour stuck on your hands will come off. i hope this helps. :)

  • Manjula, you rock! I love your videos, thank you so much
