i remember about 12 years ago seeing mike v. at a demo in melbourne (city) he was tring to do a tre-flip off a big wedge over a bench and just couldn't catch it on the day. koston rolls up and busts the most steezed out bs flip ever, first try, crowd goes wild. daewon signed my board, a mark gonzales graphic (wish i still had it) and kareem cambell was blowing up. ah memories.

@mikehoncho73 was that at the sail yards demo -- i cant remember going to this demo but I think my mates little egg and glen slater were doing big kickies with kosten - i had pretty much hung my board up by 1996 but I wish i had the chance to see Mike Vallely skate in person.. he was the biggest influence on alot of us skaters in 1988 89 90 91 -- rubbish heap 1281 speed freaks plus plan b blind were all me and mates favorite video, powell vidoes were good but they always had shit music

(circa 1989 - 94). but due to a consuming back injury and ankle problems I had to give all away.

the barnyard mike v world industries deck is the first deck that was shaped and concaved like modern skate boards. mullen and v were both on w. industries @ that time mikes board was more like they are now. mullen had the double tail but, it was flat, no concave and the ends weren't round.. so, in my opinion mike had the first modern board shape. not that my opinion matters.lol.
