Yeah Portal 1 had the advanced challenge maps (increased difficulty, least portals, least steps, speenrun)...

That was sorely missing from Portal 2 cos that was one of my fave parts of Portal 1. Luckily I heard that the DLC will reintroduce those challenge maps (hopefully for free of course) so that's when I'll play Portal 2 again. For me, Portal 1 was the better game...until they bring out challenge maps for Portal 2 :)

Hmm I know this is called noobtoob, but Jesus... At least learn how to play the games you're reviewing. Vampire Smile is not as simple as you make it out to be. The combat system is incredibly complex and allows for huge combos if you know what you're doing. Like a 2D version of DMC or Bayonetta. It has been getting great reviews because of the combat, not the art style.

When I got it, I thought it'd be a D2 ripoff that's good for some 20 hours of timewasting.

While I didn't like Rocket Slime, which you constantly bring up, it was definitely a creative take on the Dragon Quest series. However, the reason they have not made a sequel was that the game was not profitable. I guess gamers don't like to promote creativity.

Surprisingly, I thought the whole game was pretty easy to figure out, the only part of Portal 2 that proved difficult for me and took me a while to complete was the room with one white gel tube and practically nothing else. I want some incredibly hard DLC!!!!

My problem with portal 2:

In portal one they hardly had un-portable walls. Now the only parts of the walls with moon stone are the bare essential parts of the wall. Making it really obvious where to portal. I still loved the game, and the ending was "orgasmic" to say the least. I just thought it was easier, and I clocked in at about 4 hours played time when the credits started rolling.

I've got a good idea for you guys. You say there's not much in games coming out soon so you guys COULD do another beginning playthrough (like you did before) instead of an episode and the reason being because alot of times, you'll say "oh, this game had easy puzzles" for example. Now, im not very good at puzzle games so id like to see how good you guys are at them by doing a playthrough of some sort so i can figure out if the games you recommend would be to hard for me. anyway, good episode!

talking of old games that nobody knows, have you guys tried Painkiller for PC? The original was made by People Can Fly (Bulletstorm), and is pure, run and gun, dumb fun shooter, like Doom or Serious Sam. Its feels like youre playing an Iron Maiden album cover, and it has a gun that shoots shurikens and lightning. And another that sticks people to walls with stakes.
