Despite UT' mediocrity they are in the low 20s in the BCS, it is upstart Baylor (a private school in Texas) that has surprised everyone with their stellar season, one that looks to finish ranked in the top ten after their bowl.

Callahan was a West coast passing coach and that has never worked well in Nebraska, it's like throwing a boomerang. Nebraska does best when it can pass just enough to get the defence off thier backs and then stick to the ground, this is why Osborne stuck with the option plays.

@astrofrk UT had a bad year, nebraska fans ought to empathize with the mediocirty their own program put out under Bill Callahan recently, but ut will be a powerhouse once more shortly, unlike the eternal mediocrity of A&M which hasn't won a bowl game since 1998.
Despite UT' mediocrity they are in the low 20s in the BCS, it is upstart Baylor (a private school in Texas) that has surprised everyone with their stellar season, one that looks to finish ranked in the top ten after their bowl.

@Speegs23 I would wait till the "Fat Lady Sings" before I put Baylor in the top ten. The same goes for Texas becomming a powerhouse. Callahan was a West coast passing coach and that has never worked well in Nebraska, it's like throwing a boomerang. Nebraska does best when it can pass just enough to get the defence off thier backs and then stick to the ground, this is why Osborne stuck with the option plays.

@hutigg01 You really are delusional to think that a conference with 7 of it's 10 members ranked in the BCS is not stable and great going forward, that's more competitive than any other conference in football, including the SEC, according to the BCs's own criteria.
A 7-5 UT team is still better than at least 8 teams in the Pac 12, and all of the Big 10.
It is the outgoing A&M, whom made this silly video, that dwell in perpetual mediocrity.

west virgina and tcu arent in the big 12 yet so their records dont count for the big 12, and i doubt texas would beat every team in the big 10, and lets face it, out of all those ranked teams, only a few of them will be ranked consistently, baylor is done without rg3, ksu will fall back into mediocrity, probably tcu, and wvu has always been mediocre but the big east sucks, plus osu just finished their fluke year, good conference, but the big 10 has passed them

Aggies have never been ahead of the pack at all and now enter a conference they haven't beaten since 1995, worry about your own house. Big 12 will do fine. anyway, with WVU and TCU going Big 12, that leaves texas, texas tech, kansas, kansas state, Iowa State, Baylor, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Thats still 10 teams good enough for a conference. I would then ask Southern Miss and Cincinatti to join. But thats just me.

BTW, Husker fan here. The shorthorns really do need to get over themselves. They have become what everyone hates - they are the New York Yankees of college football. We called their fucking bluff over third tier rights and took our asses to the B1G for the next hundred years. Good on A&M for following us to their own elite conference. If the shorthorns think this will hurt the Ags they're dreaming.

@VancouverChokers Whoa whoa whoa. Texas didn't destroy the SWC. SMU, Piggy, Aggy, etc., cheating destroyed that conference. Texas was the lone school that wasn't smacked with major probation more than once. Every other school was smacked by the NCAA multiple times.
NU left because they were mad that they were no longer the big boys as they were in the Big 8. Thats because they stopped winning.
