The lyrics are pretty geeky, but the chorus at catchy as fuck. Rewrite the lyrics and I could see this being on the radio in the late 70s and early 80s.
I've had rock band 2 years. I've NEVER played this song. Just got finished playing it 6 times in a row on various instruments. My new favorite song on rock band 2.
@AdamFoley19950 Nope. I never ever unlocked it. The day I wrote that comment, I went and searched through all the cities (I had them all unlocked), it was in tier two for LA, unplayed. So I quickly unlocked it.
@Jinxerz010792 I strongly disagree, "Save or die?" Anyone? Correct me if I'm wrong, Saving throws pre-4th ed meant you were going to die if you failed [vorpal-, petrify, falling off cliffs, etc. meant you're dead]. The song is all about getting the girl, taking the chance, asking the question, getting lucky, and praying that [and fighting for] all your +1s lead to higher rolls. I hardly see this lyric as fail, unless you got all the nice DMs or play 4th. I think it should be filed under WIN.
As a dungeon master, you'd only ever have to "save or die" is against extreme conditions, such as vorpal, petrification, massive damage (depending on which game you're playing), and certain poisons. Oh, and vorpal, despite everybody's popular belief, isn't "your head pops off". It actually is merely a limb, and it's at either DM's discretion, or randomly rolled. Either way, DM's discretion, technically.
No, it's "saving throw." A saving throw is a common term in D&D for whether or not certain things affect you.
"Save me, bro" would make no sense here, because, well, technically, he's singing to a chick. Please, if you really like this song and understand it, that means you've got SOME intelligence. Or is your intelligence stat comparable to an orc's?
I liked this song just because of the guitar riffs on RB2, I had no idea what the lyrics were. Then I tried vocals just cuz and almost failed out because I was laughing so hard. Only made me love it more. Hehe, Cthulu. <3
It's funny, during the Arizona convention RandomCon, our anime club was running the gaming room and I was explaining conventional love to someone, and then I heard someone else start playing this song on Rock Band (First time I heard it) and I was in awe xD
this is a kick ass song, and to the girl that wants to gt serenaded to this, u kick ass, i'd hit on u, but it looks like most other guys have done so, and my application isn't as impressive as their's i guess
Sadly, I find this song romantic. If some geek serenaded me with this I'd let him get to second base at least. Hell, I might even give birth to our gangly awkward emo offspring. God I'm a dork.
This re-record is infinitely superior. Thanks a lot, Speck, for uploading it to your MySpace for us!
