@ChronoArcAile3000 Please, watch the first movie and you'll find the rules there. They're clear and say about mogwais. Also, there's the novelization from George Gipe and the rules are well discussed there. The second movie has many problems with the original rules.

Gizmo is a Mogwai not a gremlin, therefore he does not have some of the same rules applying to him. I think for him to eat after midnight won't affect him, but water (as we see in the movie) does.
