@phantomhurricane666 Rimmer didn't need to stay in deep sleep since he was a hologram, but probably turned off (or something) for a while. I suppose cat must have been awake since the spring, while Lister was having his extra 3 months.

That was stasis, not deep sleep.

@icemanlj2k7 - He was in Stasis in the first episode - literally frozen in time and therefore not "asleep". On exiting Stasis in the first episode Lister especially says "I had only just gone in!" as he doesn't notice time passing. He didn't age in any way either. In this episode he was in deep sleep and there are clear differences - his hair continued to grow as did his nails as he wasn't actually "frozen in time" in the same way Stasis works. He was just in a prolonged sleeping state instead.

I did for a while because i'm a rimmer girl at heart,and he wasn't in some of series 7. but i got persuaded and they're ok,some quite good laughs in them.
