The two men charged with the killing of Michaela Harte will go on trial in Mauritius on 22nd of May 2011. She had entered her hotel room just as they were inside robbing her, she had disturbed them, so they killed her. I hope they get what they rightly deserve.
My aunty went to the same hotel as she did on her honeymoon. She was strangled bcos she scrabed one of the men they no this bcos there was proof under her fingernails thats how they found her killers it's very sad

He also sings Blow Away and Shinning Star, all beautiful songs. His voice is fantastic and I think he deserves to be recognised. Andy is very talented when he can write a song like this. If the Radio plays it enough and gives him some publicity he may get a backer.

A Mauritius police source revealed that the three McAreavey suspects could expect to suffer more than most convicted of the brutal crime.
He said: "There is honour among thieves and a code which many prisoners follow. Everyone is angry about this attack on a visitor and it is likely whoever is convicted will find it hard in jail."
@roberthchase i agree with many of the sentiments expressed here. The death of Michaela and the circumstances surrounding her death are truely awful. Indescrible pain and grief for her huband John and her family. I'm also deeply concerned in the manner in which the police have went about their investigations and the charges brought against the three men charged in connection with her murder.

A mass was held in a church in the north of the island, attended by many and a minute of silence was observed, at the same time the funeral was taking place. @fafa1066 in ireland we recognize the lenghts that your country and people have gone to in the wake of this murder. we recognize that you are a peacefull country full of great people. there have been many deaths of polish people and other foreighn nationals here in ireland and if we were to compare our reaction towards there deaths with the actions of the mauritus people we would be ashamed.
The awful murder of beautiful Machaela at The Legends Hotel will have badly damaged Mauritian tourism. Future honeymooners will avoid that hotel incase they get room 1025. You can bet that theft from tourists happens at all the other hotels there, not just that one. Might it not happen to you, if you went there on holiday. How could you relax by the swimming pool when you remember the murder of Michaela. The beautiful surroundings there leads visitors into a false sense of security.

Update - as at January 20, 2011
Five have been arrested by the Mauritius police.
They are all staff of the Legends Hotel.
Two of them are Security Officers working at the hotel.
One or two men might be charged with murder.
It will take many months for the police to prepare their case.

I don't even know if the title is 'Angel' - there are many songs called 'Angel' - but I can't find the one that contains the lyrics in this song.

i am deeply sad about what happened. As a Mauritian, i would ask the Gov of Mauritius to bring back the law and to severely condemn those who did it.
