could you send me the link to where you got the two vent mounts because i have been searching for the perfect ones and i think you have them. I know its on amazon but like theres 4 different kinds which are all around 8$.
For some reason they dont let me post links here however here's the name for it:
Arkon Removable Air Vent Mount with Swivel Ball Adjustment for iPhone 1G, 3G, 3G S (Black)
For the plastic bar... i just bought an object with a flat plastic side to it and cut it into that rectangle shape. There's plenty of stuff at Home Depot.
Great inexpensive solution... I wanted to have the ipad intergrated into my charger but I like what you've done...Think I'll try the same set up.. Very nice job!
Try some of those non reflective screen covers and it'll look a lot better as far as cutting down reflections. I got one from the UK company Media Devil, quite expensive at $20 but you actually get 2 and it really helps with the glare.
That goes for anything you put in your car. Cell phones, GPS's, books lying around, anything that isn't bolted down or stock. Depending on your car, air bags normally deploy on the driver's side and passenger's side. Not the center console. Also if you get distracted easily from the road, I dont recommend that you have anything at all mounted to your car. You probably shouldn't even be driving if you can't be a responsible driver.

until you crash and then sadly all these mounts fail and the airbags are distrupted and the ipad causes injuries.

Yep this solution should work well with any car that has a vent similar to that

Great way to mount the iPad. I'm going to give it a try.
