Alfred Rose might have been the man with the golden voice, the melody king of goa, a pioner in many konkani occasions but ORIGINAL he was not. His songs were mostly written by Reginald Fernandes, the famous konkani novelist. His tunes were on majority of times were lifted from many European countries and Schubert Engelbert. I would not let him stand on the same platform as Chris Perry and Remo Fernandes.
Fyi, Reginald Fernandes only wrote the Mandos, the rest of the songs were written by Alfred Rose himself. Chris Perry was a Legend a great Musican but not singer. Remo is a great singer but he has not composed any KONKANI song.
