  • Did you have to do any head work like changing valve springs or anything? I'd like that cam in my 99 SS.

  • Sexy

  • yzman87 you dont need all that to cam an ls1

  • cant make up my mind between this cam or the 228R cam

  • whats it take to cam an ls motor. just a new computer?

  • @monsterchevy88

    ....you can't be serious.

  • Generally an upgraded fuel pump, larger injectors, upgraded oil pump, timing chain, full exhaust (long tube or shorties depending on the cam size) intake and throttle body

  • @monsterchevy88

It just takes about 4 hours work and a progam or tune. I've did a cam swap with one of these engines and there easy as hell to do. There roller motors so you don't have to pull the intake or heads you just pull off all the excesseries and get it at top dead center pull the cam gear off and pop the cam in "SLOWLY" and then your redo your steps and your done. Pretty simple actually. Not like the old carb engines haha.
