@okiguy91 It hasn't been legal to import to the USA since 2006.

Just curious (Sorry if this has been answered!) but how did you come across it? I don't care about importing because I'm only a teenager and could never afford a new car as it is, let alone a skyline. Yeah, but whats the story behind it? Thanks!

@GoonOnFire Very long story, but I am the second owner of the car (the original owner having gotten it from Motorex). Kind of a strange story, the car was not imported specifically for this customer but lived at the shop for a long time and was originally slated to be used for OBD-II conversion work. The work was never completed and eventually the car went out to a new owner. I bought it from him and found him through a mutual contact.

And unless the law doesn't forbid there right-hand drive cars? Or it only in California?

@Diablo806408 You can drive it where you want, but the trouble is importing! Right now the laws make it impossible to import to the USA. This one was imported a long time ago, when it was legal to do so, back in 2002.

@danox574: Actually I am a tech school graduate. I know a little about the EPA & DOT from my drivability class but I was never really into JDM cars at the time but the skyline is a well balanced car, love it.lol I study up on the skyline but I know nothing about importing.

Anybody know anything about importing? They want pennies for regular skyline coupes in japan while who's ever here have one (NON GTR) asks about 20k.

@tirrellsgirl Over 25 years old is DOT and EPA exempt, but expect a few grand in shipping and import fees. It's not a hard process, but you will need someone on the other end to purchase/ship the car and a customs broker on this end to bring off the boat.
