I love the original cast album. The movie is kind of strange but I still like it because of Brel's beautiful music and the english lyrics. I have the DVD and I used to have the film soundtrack on LP but I can't seem to find it on CD. If anyone knows where to get a copy, let me know. Thanks!
I performed in Jacques Brel's play "Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris! My senior year at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois in 1973. It is a remarkable musical play with it's music inspired by Jacques Brel himself!
One man's -or woman's- garbage, is another man's treasure. You come to this conclusion just by seeing this trailer? Wow... You even have any idea of what the songs are about? You even know who Jacques Brel was? We're talking about a 70's version of the musical, very hippy style. However, the songs are not about that time. I don't know you, but by this ONE word review, I can think of you what you thought of this 3.5 min trailer, and I would probably be very wrong too.
@josesolismusic Unfortunately I watched the live show - well half of the live show as I left at the intermission. Judging by this trailer the movie is even worse. Fodder for the masses - aka Garbage.
A great movie, with some fantastic songs! I have it on casette tape - (remember those;) A shame I can't seem to find any complete songs from the movie online!

This might be the most confusing and unhelpful trailer I've ever seen

While I'm not fond of the movie, I'm fond of the songs. Did ANY of the songs make any sense to you?
