Why you go and make a grown man cry like that? This is the remix I always use to introduce my friends who haven't heard of OCR before. The only down side is it sets their expectations sky high.
This is, simply put, one of McVaffe's best tracks. Indeed, there is so much wonderful interpretation going on here. A beautiful acoustic piano line holds the piece together while overlaid with subtle strings and some awesome experimental percussion. Love those chords at 2:15 and the subsequent synth and panning effects. At 3:30 we get the beginnings of the climax of the piece. Carefully programmed percussion helps to reinforce this section, and by 4:30 we get a nice cool down to finish off.
I never really liked this song too much when I first played Yoshi's Island either, but after playing Yoshi's Island DS I really appreciate this one, as well as the castle song. Great remix!
This is a beautiful tribute to what is, in my opinion, one of the greatest video games of all time. Well done.

Was that glow effect an effect in Adobe premier? If so, what is it called?

Awesome Remix to an awesome song.

I love how you made a video to match this song. Looks like an old-school video from back in the late 80's and early 90's.

Too bad Linkin Park doesn't sound like this anymore. They changed their sound and now sound too generic. :(
