Institutions that can be trusted and that are run by all parts of the population not wild capitalism which as we see well in the US is increasing the gap between rich and poor. Not what is needed in cambodia ! Also I hope these construction sites will still all be owned by the khmer govt and not foreign investors. Also too many of these will ruin the capital beautiful layout which dates back to the french protectorate, not even talking about traffic.

This kind of boom is not so good. This is not growing the country organically from within it is shark type foreign anarcho capitalism where the owners will be foreign entities controlling financial interest and benefiting only a micro few rich bankers. This is telling me the government is corrupted by greed not doing the due dilligence of administrative planning. What the country needs is good institutions.

It called Gold Tower 42. Phnom Penh, now has changed a lot. There are a lot of tall buildings begin built in Phnom Penh now. Soon or later Phnom Penh will become a beautiful city again. God bless Phnom penh!

not all giant property projects in Cambodia made by east asian investors like Japan and Korea.there are also made by South east asia investors like Indonesia.I see Grand Phnom Penh Residence and apartment masterplan.this projects built by Indonesian investor.

I think many foreigners, such as Japanese, Korean, Khmer oversea, rich local and others are the target group for those building. If we look around the in Southeast Asian countries, the real estates properties in Cambodia is cheapest in this region, and weather is good, free market, law is going to be amended soon to allow the foreigners to own the real estate property. Anyway, it is good as the cash flow into the country, give jobs to the poor and the country is modernized. I wish finish soon.

you are probably right Khmerbrave, probably 1/4 people in Cambodia are vietnamese, but its doesnt matter where you go or live, if you have a knowledge, you probably become one of an employer or management, but if you not, you will become one of employee and have to work as a hard laborwork for the living. knowledge? you get from going to college. wish all khmer children more focus toward into education.

I wonder if the construction still going on, because of thai/khmer conflicts. I don't imagine anyone want to buy right. It going to take forever to solve the border issue, at least 40 years. real estate investment is last thing on people mind now. People just want to know where to escape if war break out between khmer and Thai.

well actually it's not really the government kind of projects. these are all projects from international investors like south korea. i dont think investors really aim in fixing our rural districts.

I honestly think this is a total joke. I wonder how much this whole thing cost, I rather take that money and give it to those who really need it like the children and families who lives on nothing. We should help eachother out, it's sad to know theres kids working and living in dumps while others who have money use it to build things to impress others. It's great to know our country is improving, but is the lives of our other cambodians in the country side improving also? We have so much to fix

Are these projects still on?

I've heard the Economic Crisis, which started in the US has become of global scope, and that Cambodia is suffering very much from it. I'm not that optimistic to be honest.

But let's wait and see what will come of all these projects.
