@TheIllegalPotato Actually, there was a decrease during WWII and the start of the Post-War Boom. It wasn't until roughly the 70's, during The Malaise, that the global average temperature began to increase again. Even then, it is primarily in urban areas that we have seen any increase in temperatures. In rural areas away from the Urban Heat Islands, we have seen a decrease in average temperature since 1860. In fact, away from the UHI's, the increase or decrease follows solar activity cycles.

To get that record they needed to adjust the temp record which there is plenty of evidence that they did, all you need to do is look at the charts they published before 2000 and the ones now. The temps before 1980 went down and the ones after went up.

"Hide the decline" is a reference to the tree ring proxy data which has shows that the temperature has decreased since 1960 when according to ACTUAL measurements it has increased. No, they don't hide this fact on the graphs, they show the decline with the graph but they include the actual measurements as well.
As for snow disproving global warming, higher precipitation rates point to higher global temperature.

Try to calibrate them with accurate data, but this fails because something since 1960 has made the trees stop growing like they did for 1,000 years. But since we can be confident that there were no other "divergence problems" in the past 1,000 years, go ahead and publish anyway, tossing in some real data to make it look like the model is connected to reality. Did I miss anything?
@SirTorment it raises temperatures and acts as a blanket on the atmosphere. Hotter temperatures means bleaching of coral reefs therefore phytoplankton death; plankton create about 70% of the earth's oxygen AND feed fish. So less oxygen and even more increased temperatures which in turn melt icecaps and raise sea levels, a collapse of fisheries. Yeah, sounds swell.
@labonneruerouge the temperature increase that co2 causes is very minimal whilst it has a very positive effect on growing plants and crops. Yes, putting co2 into the atmosphere is a green thing to do.
@SirTorment even 'minimal' changes in temperature destroy environments. For example the American Pika can only live in temperatures of 77.9F or less so as the world is warming, the Pika's mountain habitats can no longer keep it alive and they are now endangered. And no one knows which species are keystone species until they're gone. Also, these 'minimal' temperature changes cause coral bleaching (as i said above).

It is a fact that CO2 is a greenhouse gas; fill one jar with carbon dioxide and another with normal air and the first jar will warm up faster and cool down slower. Gases like methane and water vapour have this in common. However, warming is what causes the increase in atmospheric H2O (warm air holds more moisture). This leaves CO2 and methane. The main producers of these are industry and cattle farming. This is what the scientists are calling to be held back. Al Gore is insane. Any questions?

It wasn't until roughly the 70's, during The Malaise, that the global average temperature began to increase again. Even then, it is primarily in urban areas that we have seen any increase in temperatures. In rural areas away from the Urban Heat Islands, we have seen a decrease in average temperature since 1860. In fact, away from the UHI's, the increase or decrease follows solar activity cycles.

Look up the divergence problem.
"Hide the decline" is a reference to the tree ring proxy data which has shows that the temperature has decreased since 1960 when according to ACTUAL measurements it has increased. No, they don't hide this fact on the graphs, they show the decline with the graph but they include the actual measurements as well.
As for snow disproving global warming, higher precipitation rates point to higher global temperature.

Try to calibrate them with accurate data, but this fails because something since 1960 has made the trees stop growing like they did for 1,000 years. But since we can be confident that there were no other "divergence problems" in the past 1,000 years, go ahead and publish anyway, tossing in some real data to make it look like the model is connected to reality. Did I miss anything?

Hotter temperatures means bleaching of coral reefs therefore phytoplankton death; plankton create about 70% of the earth's oxygen AND feed fish. So less oxygen and even more increased temperatures which in turn melt icecaps and raise sea levels, a collapse of fisheries. Yeah, sounds swell.
Try to use a little common sense next time.

For example the American Pika can only live in temperatures of 77.9F or less so as the world is warming, the Pika's mountain habitats can no longer keep it alive and they are now endangered. And no one knows which species are keystone species until they're gone. Also, these 'minimal' temperature changes cause coral bleaching (as i said above).

There's a little thing called solar radiation that varies in intensity with earth's Milankovich cycles (basically it's orbit) and during the time you're talking about, the earth was farther away from the sun than it is today which COMPLETELY explains this Little Ice Age but leaves today's

It is a fact that CO2 is a greenhouse gas; fill one jar with carbon dioxide and another with normal air and the first jar will warm up faster and cool down slower. Gases like methane and water vapour have this in common. However, warming is what causes the increase in atmospheric H2O (warm air holds more moisture). This leaves CO2 and methane. The main producers of these are industry and cattle farming. This is what the scientists are calling to be held back. Al Gore is insane. Any questions?

It isn't the fact that it may be getting warmer, it's the fact that people have made up numbers that aren't fact; they are over-emphasised by a few degrees. This may not seem like much, but it's just hyped up the public and made people think that Global Warming will kill us; in truth it's a completely natural thing and humans have absolutely no effect on it. That's the whole argument, CO2 doesn't even have an effect on Greenhouse Gases; it's mainly water vapour... Anyone with half a brain knows.

And no one thinks climate change isn't natural, that's not what anyone's debating, it's the fact that it's rising in sync with CO2 levels at an unbelievable rate that isn't seen naturally. @FrancoisLachon it is one. Period. And while Water Vapor is the most common of the of greenhouse gases, CO2 changes have a MUCH greater effect than water vapor changes. So, before making comments that are not only inaccurate but just plain ridiculous, (from a scientific standpoint) maybe you should think it over.

And geologists don't really study climate science, which i do at one of the top universities in the country, they study the processes that have shaped the earth and it's attributes.

This vid also neglects to mention that you don't need tree rings to make a hockey stick, you can use stalactites and stalagmites from caves, ice cores, and corals.
A downward line? Depends on your scale. If your measuring from 98 then yes. If your measuring from sixty years bakc like your supposed to, then no.

Some regions were warmer during the medieval warm period, others were not. Overall it was cooler than it is now. Global climate change is just that- global. Not the conditions in your backyard, the average conditions of the entire planet.

Its been a while and can't remember the name of the tree sample he based his model off of, but a quick google search is all you need for basic info... want something more specific google - underground problems with mann-holes. ---The regional medieval warming is a myth... researchers find warming all over the world in both hemispheres through cores and historical records... it was "globally" warm during that time.
