Emotions are through the roof! There's no question that this officer who has quit the force must be held accountable, but these riots accomplish NOTHING. Outrage is surely justified by the astronomical crime rate, but the anger of Oakland's people overcomes any rational thought.

That shooting was clearly an accident. He either meant to pull his taser, or he meant to pull the gun and fired it due to poor weapons handling. If I were in charge of this case, I think the decision I would be making, however, is not whether he is guilty or not, but what kind of medal the department will award this brave, dedicated public servant.
