Im looking for a new board I do 50% Jibbing and 50% slashing groomers and ripping the hardpack.I have a 148 skate banana which i like but i was looking for something a little bit different maybe a hair firmer. GNu riders choice, Box scratcher, Trs, Mc KInk. Any suggestions I am leaning toward the mc kink. PLLLEEEAAASSSSEEEE HELLLPPPP.
I got a skate banana right now, but I live off of jibbing at the park. I feel like my banana is equal to a wet noodle it's so flexible, but it pops like nothing I've ever ridden and I love having that combo of flex and pop but would this be better towards that aspect of jibbing?
I guess what I'm asking is is it more flexible and poppy than a banana, and also is it better or worse at landing huge jumps than a banana?
@chickenboy333 Basically the Box Scratcher is a wider skate banana made for heaver riders that has an extruded base (as opposed to sintered). So basically the 149 Banana is a little softer than the 147 Box Scratcher due to the fact that the Box Scratcher was created for people that weigh more and have bigger feet. I have never personally ridden the Box Scratcher but I saw it in my local board shop and it felt a good bit stiffer than the banana.
uh yo i got the 147 2010 box scratcher.i have not ridin it yet.but if i went and did some street rails on the street would this get all messed up like scratchers and junk.Because i saw some videos with guys hittin or up street rails with this board.just wanana know.or should i use my old board that has like a level 9 flex?
@ganjaesbueno12566 Presses are what you make them. It's not up to the board. But just on personal preference I would probably go with the Box Scratcher.
@ganjaesbueno12566 I would probably have to go with the Box Scratcher just because Burtner is the man... haha, no Lib really has their tech dialed. Rome is good to, but the Scratcher is a sick board
Is the extra money worth it for this board? I am an intermediate park rider and i am also looking at the k2 darkstar, saloman sanchez, and burton blunt
im 5'3 and 114 and i wanna buy the 147.could this board handle like 50 foot jumps and like if i landed on the tail hard would it just snap because of the flex?or should i get a differt board????????????????????????????????
im 5'4 and 107 pounds. Im looking for a softer jib board that can still handle jumps. Do you think the 147 box scratcher would be good for me or should I look into something else? Thanks so much!
@thehouseboardshop Sick! Ima demo it at HCSC this summer. For the purpose I told you though, would the box scratcher 147, the nitro swindle 145, the capita horroscope 147, capita stairmaster 145, gnu danny kass mini 145, the forum manual 146, or the dc pbj 144 be the best for my purpose? Im leaning towards the box scratcher cuz of the magne traction would help with the ice shit in NY i ride. but lemme know which board. Thanks so much for your help!
I got my first board from u guys up there when i was at a funeral, MN for life. Mount Kato needs a new park but i heard there putting in a Pipe in though :D
like i ride park 90% of the time i just want to no it can carve half decent not like fast all mountain carving just doing butters and getting around the mountain i dont do speed carving and i dont think the flew will bother me and ride a few inches of pow we get on the east the board seems perfect for me with the super soft flew and small size any ideas for this or any other board
@thehouseboardshop is there a large difference from the skate banana im using my friends banana now and it carves nice how bout this one compared to that
like i ride park 90% of the time i just want to no it can carve half decent not like fast all mountain carving just doing butters and getting around the mountain and ride a few inches of pow we get on the east the board seems perfect for me with the super soft flew and small size
I mostly do park but i do some groomed runs too. I dont have a lot of money so a skate banana is kind of a lot so should i get this or the skate banana.
i have been riding my freinds 148 lib tech skate banana i was looking to get my own board. i do a lot of jibbing but i do ride some hardpack (im from he east) and powder when i get the chance will this ride pow and all mountain like the skate banana
Dave Im 5'10 and 175 and I want something super easy to butter good for jumps still and good on rails what would u recomend and what size . I've been looking at a couple , the signal park rocker , Rome artifact 85 , box scratcher , and technine yucky charms
i got this board like 2 days ago and its the best board ive ever owned. presses like a mofo, and i can float 5s on 55 foot booders so all in all, very good park board imo.
i'm looking at buying my first board. i realise this more of a park board but seeing as i am not exactly a pro, would i notice much of a difference between this board and an all mountain board?? i have been advised to gt an all mountain board but i like the design on the box scratcher
6'2 160lb, 11.5 boot, im thinking about getting the 151 tommoro, am i too tall for this board? i ride a 156 right now but i want the banana for rails. and how good does it hold up on big jumps, i ride schweitzer in idaho, got some sick shit there
5'6 125lb 10.5 boot 80% park and jumps under 40ft wat size should i go for and would this be a good board for presses. im growing still only 13. thanks
So far I been riding mostly in slushy and icy conditions...In the mountain I ride pretty aggressive with little carving and so far it holds pretty well. Haven't ridden in powder yet but since its reverse camber I shouldnt have a problem.
I was riding the 148 narrow Skate Banana before it got stolen...its pretty much the same board.
Im starting to like my BS more only because I ride alot of park so the base (tnt) is really easy to repair. Also its a bit wider, my boot (size 9) stuck out way to much on the Banana.
I haven't taken the BS on any super jumps yet. Regular 10 footers it can handle. 360s are easy but when landing the board wants to turn more (slippery). Butters, Jibbing, presses... this board can do all of that.

@ganjaesbueno12566 The softer flex along with the reverse camber make this board VERY easy to press.

The box scratcher would be too short for jumps, I don't like the Park Rocker and we don't carry the Yucky Charms so Artifact 1985 all the way!

It goes more off of weight. 151 would work but is definitely more of a box, rail, and smaller jump size for you.
