FINALLYYYY...How long did it take b4 someone made a review video...I bought one this year and i can not get enough of it....HANDLING is GREAT...the grunt that comes from the rear ohhhhhhh just makes me step on it more n more....lost 6 points already but it was all fun :D
oh and yeah another thing which speaks for the st ...the 'quick clear windscreen'..amazing how quickly it melts the ice from the windscreen..no other brand wins on that part x-) ...i allways leave the parkinglot first ..even with the most expensive saloons on there x-)
and the last contenders in my search for a sporty trackday-ride , were : the focus , the cooper s and amazingly the bmw 1-series ...but since i would break the bank with that one if i wanted more then the 120i/120d ..i gave in to the focus .
The mini , i liked especially for it's pedal-placement and eagerness it hold in and out of the corners ...the focus won though , especially thinking about the long rides towards the nurburg-track..bit of comfort which lacks in the other 2 .

@BriGuy2000 GTI is a great car aswell , i test drove it and seriously considered it ..together with some others like the civic v-tec , the clio cup , cooper s works etc ...and even the bmw series 1 and a mx-5 2.0
Eventually i've bought the focus st ..why? well i liked the looks for starters , the sound and 5-cyl also were some good points ...but the most important i found the feel of the steering/chassis and especially the weighttransfers it directs to the seats , but thats personal preference
too bad we won't have the 3doors in canada... and maybe not the st either. last time we had a cool compact car from ford it was in 2000 the svt focus :(

3 months ago I swore I would be the first in line for a 2012 ST. Now I have a GTI and could really care less about the ST. Is it really worth the wait? Not really!
@Zantek007 V's not of course but you can get some in line 5's. Fiat (Check out the Coupe Turbo 20v, amazing sound), Audi (the famous Quattro...) and this Volvo/Ford. They sound great. I like 4 cilinders but of course that some are not very interesting and a in line 5 sounds better. I would say you don't have a lot of 5 cil because it's not worth it... a lot of times you can get as much out of a 4 cil.
And i agree with you, it should have a bit more power. But just a remap/Chip and it's done...

Perfect, Top gear and Fifth gear spend so much wasted time producing 'car reviews', I would prefer to watch an hour worth of these on a sunday night now.
this 2.5t 5 cylinder is one of the best sounding ones aswell..i also love what ford has done with the focus, hope they'll keep this engine in the next years.
Engine and chassis is great value for money , even the interior finish is very well done .

The steering wheel is on the wrong fucking side.
