im sitting here with my mom and listening to this song but im only 40 yrs and this song is beyond my years and im like ma how is this one of my favorite songs??? she just smiled and said " I LOVE YOU COUNTRY BUMPKIN"
Thank-You for sharing this song, we played this song over and over - very loud back in the great days of Country Music. If only we could turn back time sometimes
I love all types of music: Rock, metal, dance/techno and so much more!.....But when it comes to Country..this is THE REAL THING!! GREAT CLASSIC COUNTRY MUSIC!! Anything out after 1986 is pretty much concidered "Cross-over music" and is nothing but HORSE SHIT!! (anybody offended by my comments...please you have a choice not to read them if you don't like them....I personally don't give a fuck!! (this comment is mainly directed at "@ultrabrougham", I do not "cencor" my thoughts!)
Each AND EVERY older country music album-ALL OF THEM- need to be reissued on CD for all of us (Old and young) to enjoy again!! Today's music SUCKS BIG, FAT DICKS!!! (MOST of the good-old country albums are long out-of-print,and that SUCKS EVEN BIGGER DICKS!!!!
@ultrabrougham I have Grown up 30 years ago...(too fast!), and I said it STAIGHT OUT how it is!!!.....TODAYS MUSIC - that many call "Country music" is HORSE SHIT!! This "cross-over" music sucks BIG FAT DICKS!!! and that is just how i feel about it (and always will) As far as Vulgarity...That is just the way it is, as it is!!! Sorry!!
I got this record and Red Sovine one year for Xmas...I listened to this song till it wouldnt play anymore...I am sure that my parents had something to do with that lol
reminds me of listening to the radio in my blue 90 silverado sportside. there was a am station a few years ago that used to play old 60s 70s and 80s country. i love that pickup, this song made me think of it, getting the motor rebuilt in another month.
When I first heard this song in 1974 when it first came out, it reminded me a lot of a very similar song, "The Three Bells" by the Browns, which was also a song covering the important points of a character's life
this is a favorite of mine. I have been rackin my old brain about a song I really liked in the late 80's or early 90's....Female singer..she works at a diner..she is pregnant... a classy lady comes in and leaves a 100 dollar tip..she goes home to her husband "Joe" Can anyone help me on this one.
I can only think of the e-mail titled the 5 Lessons of Life. A woman of means has flat tire, a man stops to help her, the woman is frightened because of his looks. The woman goes to a diner/ gas station to get her tire fixed, the waitress is in her last month of pregnancy, the woman of means, ask how much for the coffee, the waitress says nothing, she leaves a $100.00 tip. As they crawl into bed, the waitress and her husband tells the story of a woman with a flat tire
you know the more I think about this story the more I like it. Is Life strange or are we strange bin toady's world it may be better to be cautious then dead. Be careful I hear that bandits and highway men are again roaming the roads.
Thank you for posting this song. My family is all farmers. We've been in for over a hundred years now. My grandma, met my grandpa at the local grange hall, she described him as a country bumpkin. My grandma has been dead over a year now, and right after she died my grandpa would sing this song in the barn and cry. I can't listen to this song without crying, it sounds so much like my grandparents. I just wanted to say thank you for posting this song for everyone to hear.
skcowgirl4892 I am sorry to hear of your loss. This song is truly is sad but at the same time has its precious moments involved like the times she was around. God Bless and take care.
@Clint8179 this is the one I was looking. I just heard the one from Conway and Loretta, but that it isn't the one I wanted to hear. Thank u for uploading the original. Thank u for the memories. My mom n me used to listen to this, as my mom n dad were "country bumpkins."
this song was long before my time just heard it recently for the first time. it's a good song even though it has a sad ending

Turtle; I believe the song you've described is called 'Chain Of Love' by Clay Walker.
Unfortunately, due to apparent corporate greed, the copyright has not been released for play on Youtube. Very sad!
I really like 'Chain Of Love'. It describes how a simple act of charity comes full circle. Real life is like that too, if we have enough patience.
A great song!
