When I was 8 I also played this Haydn Concerto, so know well what means being a young talent. Maya has a gift God has given her. May she develop it as she deserves, since her playing comes not only from her hands and brains, but mostly from her soul. However, let's hope that she does not forget her dolls and enjoys her age as a normal kid. Bravo, Maya!

Lovely playing, and such subtlety and delicacy. I teach piano professionally, and I can tell you that such transparent playing is not easy, and is not possible unless she truly loves what she is doing. The knee-jerk pc over-reactors would rather she be playing with a computer game? Usually children of this level of ability have many interests and are encouraged to enjoy those interests. If they were unhappy, their playing would reflect it. Get over yourselves!

Wow! I am very impressed. As many criticizers as there is here, none can deny that this girl has some amazing talent. She not only can play, she can also keep time extraordinarily well. If she keeps up the piano, she will go very far in life. Yes, it takes many hours of practice a day, but if she likes piano than it is not "exploiting" her. I enjoyed her music and hope to see her again as she grows up.

At least as well played as the K ipnis recording (but his was on a harpsichord!). As for the Mozart opinions of callmebritneytears -- he had lots of friends (Stadler, the French hornist he wrote those four concerti for, et al.) and peole who loved him and who missed him. Certainly Constanze loved him! You should not comment about things you are obviously so ignorant of!

i am not mean. i am an accomplished musician, not ignorant , and not jealous of the girl, but i am entitled to my opinion. she has good technique, as she has started piano very young, and probably has had a very good and solid russian piano teacher, but to me she seems to be going through the motions, literally, which is quite OK for such a young age, but not so impressive or pleasing, although she is surely very musical and very promising.

Uno esta acostumbrado a ver y escuchar a un interprete que ha pasado años de dura lucha para llegar a niveles altos para ser presentado ante un publico (presencial o distante) que exige una recompensa por el esfuerzo de pagar sumas usualmente altas.
