oh please, at minute 3:50 i dont trust my eyes. bach`s music is european culture, many effort to find time-instruments and playing in old style but this what i see is not authentical. the feeling is distorted the listener should have while listening to this music....
@Leonardomourao hmmmm i thought someone MUST think that.....but i can`t agree.
i respect every colour or kind, but let me give you one example: if you try to dance between the indians around the fire in the night, they would think...what the hell is he doing?
know what i mean? bach is an german composer, or let me say european. this is better. its simply not authentical if africa sings european music.....never thought about hate.....
@Tenorlyrico89 Well, now I am a little confused. I am from Brazil. A latino. Perhaps I am not suposed to be here, listening Bach, since I am not german and my skin is darker than yours. I can bet it sounds "not authentical" for you as well.
@Leonardomourao see, the point im my opinion is, you can do whatever you want!
BUT, if you make a video, a film, put it into the internet for everyone to see, then its absolutely ok to say, it looks not good. if this person from the video im talking about would listen to bach in her free time 100 times a day, its okay. where is the problem.?
if you expose a special message in a video, the message has to be clear, hmm?
@Tenorlyrico89 Wow The woman you're referring to is not African, she's English and her parents came from the Carribean. She grew up IN Europe, speaking a European language and immersed in European culture. In order words she's more culturally European than anything else.
Your logic is like saying it's not authentic for me to speak English because I wasn't born to English parents in England. It's completely ridiculous. Just admit you made a dumb statement and move on.
@lamisuegra now listen good, moralizer! im never in the opinion, other looking people are bad.second, its good to know that shes growing up in european environment, learing that language and so on......but all this corpse you`re talking about i never wanted to grub out. you`re fireing onto little birds try to admit that.
why dont you go for instance in the carribean, founding a completely black choir. and let them sing bach kantatas......all you have to do is wait for the critics.
@lamisuegra i never doubted her intelect, and her ability to adapt. all im talking about are looks.
if i would be a listener in the audience, i want to hear and to see good things.
i want a harmony .....a symbiose.
and come on, if 50% in the choir wold be from asia from africa from the CARRIBEAN a.s.o. then it would be no matter. it would be ok. but she as the only black person, in the choir.....come on thats too flashy.
and now stop arguing, i never sayed a bad thing against her.
@Tenorlyrico8, you're right. I shouldn't have wasted my time on your comment when any educated person could see it was without value. Rather than dirtying the message board and wasting more time on pointless arguments, I'll let YOUR words make my point for me. Bach attracts all types, guess that's what makes him great ;) Ciao!
Yes, there is much that is honourable. 'kel2580' is focussing solely on one aspect, namely the supposedly financial benefits to doctors who practise it, then leads us on with a 'red herring'.
By the way, there is nothing honourable about circumcision. After reading about the benefits to the institutions that perform them, there is a lot of money to be made, that is why they lie to men and say that it's better. If you are born with it, how can it be detrimental to you. It's like saying being born with a hand will lead you to steal, which can be dangerous to your health, so chop it off. Religion sucks but this music is so beautiful. Thanks Europe for such great sounds.
@nihilistopher No, it is not! Circumcision has a long and honourable history as a simple procedure often undertaken for health reasons, but also for religion (in Judaism and Islam) and social and aesthetic reasons. Traditionally first sons in Christian families were circumcised "as a consecration to God" though it is not mandatory in our faith.
@ichmalealsobinich - Peter Jelosits - yes, he was better! Also Gregor Lütje and the very small and young Hansi Buchhierl in his first recording of a big music event - they were all singing so clean and fresh, more right-out than much of the "artistic" singing in this JEG recording
Habe es eben gefunden: ev.-luth. Stadtkirche St. Peter und Paul in Weimar, genannt Herderkirche... Toller Cranach-Altar!

@Tenorlyrico89 Not "authentical"? Because a woman is singing and womens' voices were not used in German churches until the 19th century?

@1banders ^^no you`re wrong. was j.s. bach born in africa? that would be not authentical.

It's a pity some people have to get on a bandwagon and make quasi-political comments rather than concentrating on the art.

Handel and Bach, truely the best most compassionate composers ever. They were born at the right time in order to give the world the best in music.

En mi PC le falta volumen a la voz. Creo que no ha sido bien registrada esta performance.
